Berrington Village

I have rented here for 4 years. In my first 3 months my apartment’s master bedroom flooded and ruined a mattress with No compensation. They relocated us per my demand . I am currently in an apartment now over an apartment where the man smokes and has a dangerous dog where I have repeatedly begged them for help with nothing being done. All the kitchen appliances are cheap . And Lots of excuses and empty promises. At best it is a 2-3/10 rating!! Run from this apartment complex. The rating is totally FAKE!!

Nathan and Sebastian at the office are so kind and helpful. They get it done! The maintenance team is always on point and gets to the residents needs.

Michelle has been great helping with my needs. Chris in maintenance is always very polite and loves to talk with the residents. Great place to live!

I moved here in March and have had nothing but a lovely time! Everyone has been so professional and so efficient with everything from helping with the transition to getting maintenance requests done effectively and on time! Truly a wonderful place and a great community!

Nathan truly cares about taking good care of the property and is proactive. I appreciate and value Nathan and all of the staff at the office who care about creating and maintaining a peaceful and clean environment to call home.

I lived at Berrington for over 2 years now and love it not only are the views spectacular, The new Property manager is very polite and accommodating. office staff are always extremely welcoming when you enter the office or call. Nathan is in the process of repairing our front gate which many of us are happy about!! Nate Thank you for all the improvement's thus far.

I’ve been considering moving to Asheville for some time now and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The property manager Nathan was so helpful and answered all of my questions with the upmost respect and care. The pictures of the property showcased how well kept it is and how well it is managed. Berrington Village is definitely at the top of my list now thanks to him!

Horrible place. There’s a privately owned drug house in the center of Berrington. The patrons walk drive or crawl in to get their drugs. They often brake into cars along the way, cars have been stolen and last weekend a motorcycle. Building 13 also houses someone who has lots of visitors who only stay a moment , and they often leave used needles on the ground before they go. Once a neighbor had her car windows broken out days before her neighbors door got kicked in by the police. Apparently the tenet who was in house arrest had lots of drugs and money, and guns. ACs have been broken in many units all last summer and still don’t have AV. Many buildings have mold inside and cooperate won’t pay out to get it fixed. You get the run around if you pay for an independent mold assessment. Someone’s been kicked out for trying to spread the word about the mold. The dumpster often brakes , and it stays broken so long the trash frequently fills the trash parking area. It’s a good way to feed the bears! I could go on and on after living there for three years, but I will end with the latest issue I’ve found. Everyone that moves out ends up with right around $1,000 in charges. Berrington isn’t the best about informing ex renters of the charges, but they are quick to sell the debt to a creditor. Head my frustration, and just keep looking. lol

Just moved to the Asheville area and Berrington Village was the at the right place and the perfect price for what I needed.

I have lived in Berrington for 3 years now and I am still thankful and happy to call Berrington my home. I love that feeling that I can live inside a mountain while being surrounded by such great views. Everyone I have seen that works here is always so friendly and willing to help.

Moved to the area about 2 months ago and chose Berrington Village to call home. It has an amazing community of residents and some gorgeous views. I highly recommend this place.

You deserve to live in a place where the front office staff care about your well being and your experiences. Not a front office staff that make empty promises, and only care about your rent check. I loved everything about this place when I moved in two years ago, but everything has significantly gone down hill.

My family and I are so happy to call Berrington Village Apartments our new home! Austin, Sharon and Emily, the awesome office staff, made the transition simple and painless; patiently and knowledgeably answering all the questions that can accompany a complicated, long distance move. The one maintenance request we have had was filled quickly and efficiently. The views are outstanding. The location is perfect. What a great find!

This is my 3rd apartment in Asheville and I have to say that this has been one of the best experiences I've ever had! The staff and responsiveness has been unlike any other place I've lived. Austin was the leasing agent I spoke to on my tour and he showed me all the styles of apartment that I was looking for, being very patient and informative! I don't think I've ever met someone with such enthusiasm and kindness. He didn't hesitate to answer my questions or follow up with me on my application. Whenever I have had an issue, i.e. my disposal not working I contacted the front office and spoke to Austin, who again was extremely kind and helpful! He kept me updated on when someone would be by to fix it and followed up to be sure there wasn't anything else I needed. I can't recommend this place enough! The 3 bedrooms are incredible and the views you can't get anywhere else (trust me I've looked)!! My dogs have plenty of room to play down at the dog park and our building is like it's own private oasis.

I have lived here for over a year while I was finding land and building a house. In the past year someone in my building has been dumping their unwanted food outside of the building. I have asked repeatedly for management to send an email, put notices on everyone’s door and to put a camera up to see who is doing this and make them stop! They haven’t done any of these things. I do not want rats, bears, opossum, or other wildlife to be so near my bottom floor apartment. I can’t wait for my house to be finished so I can move out of this dump!

Basic apartments. BUT. It's the staff. I'm not sure if they're under new management or what's up. But the previous reviews say things that I'm not seeing any hint of. Sharon is INCREDIBLE. The front office has been nothing but accommodating and sweet. I was initially supposed to be up in building 15, on the very top of the hill. I have a SUPER low car, and there was no way it was making it over those speed bumps. I voiced this concern to the office and they moved me to building 9, right across from the office, and told me I could park at the office as to avoid any speed bumps. (awesome!). If you have the luxury of parking in front of your building, there is always plenty of parking. The complex itself is quiet. My neighbors are not. But thats at no fault of Berrington. In fact, they even came to investigate my noise complaint. If you have a maintenance issue, they will be there within an hour to fix it. Pros- -Good prices, compared to where I'm from. -Quiet and super well kept grounds. -Staff. Including but not limited to- Sharon and Travis from maintenance. Both incredible. Travis even gave me banana bread once. (also if you get the chance, say something embarrassing. Watching his face turn super red is incredibly entertaining.) And Sharon is so much fun. -Plenty of parking. -Great views. - The gate actually works. - Super cool pool area, theatre, car wash place and other amenities. (NOTE- there is no child play area). - Easy online payment - I feel safe enough to walk around at night alone here. - THERE IS A GOLDFISH POND. I REPEAT, THERE IS A GOLDFISH POND. Cons- -My neighbor is loud. - Took almost a month to get my washer/ dryer delivered. (again, I'm not sure if thats at any fault of Berrington. -No children's play place. -Pulling out of the office is dangerous. - I did have a slight issue with maintenance, in which my fridge broke and they had to turn it off to repair it, and forgot to turn it back on, thus ruining about $115 of groceries. (however, they reimbursed me for half of it.) Overall, this was a great choice. It got me out of an incredible sticky situation, and honestly I moved to Asheville on a whim, having never been here before. I'm not sure what I was thinking but so far its turning out okay. The staff is definitely making this crazy transition much easier. Worth the move, in my opinion.

It took me some time but after several months calling Berrington Village home, I feel its time to write my honest opinion. Let me start by saying that Berrington delivers on every single aspect I ever wanted from my home and it absolutely feels that the management as well as every single employee at Berrington shares a high standard for resident satisfaction. From the outstanding customer service with the leasing team, to the maintenance team who always take care of anything you might need; all of whom somehow manage to remember you by name even when there are over 1000 residents here. Berrington keeps me proud to come home every day. Dont get me wrong... it's not all perfect without any issues or problems that anyone can experience with something like needed maintenance or maybe a customer service misunderstanding, but there is always someone to listen, there is always someone who not only will give you that genuine smile but will actually take actions and resolve any concern you might have, something that is not as easy to find these days even with so many new properties around. I do hope Berrington will keep being what it is today because I truly love to call Berrington Home!

Everyone in the office is so friendly and helpful, and the location is close to everything from hiking trails, to freeway access and shops to buy groceries and clothing and lots of restuarants within a few minutes drive. Great place

The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise. The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. The workout rooms is open 24/7 and rarely crowded and the pool area is lovely. I live alone here and could not feel safer. Beautiful neighborhood.

This is my first time renting an apartment and that can be very nerve wracking for a lot of young people. Before going to Berrington, I looked at and talked to multiple other apartment complexes. None of them made me feel as welcome as Sharon has! She has been so helpful from the day I called to the day I moved in. She’s answered every question that a first time renter can think of in great detail; and probably more than once. I can tell that she loves her job as it shows in every aspect of her work. Not only that, but the apartments are amazing!! They’re spacious and nicely priced. You can’t beat the view! I would HIGHLY recommend Berrington Village to anyone who’s looking at renting in Asheville.

My husband and I have lived here for a little over a year, and it has been hands down the best apartment community we've ever lived. I am highly impressed with the staff. Chad in maintenance is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Work orders are completed efficiently and quickly. Beth and Shanon in the office are wonderful and make Berrington feel like a true community, not an apartment complex.

My experience was great. I was welcomed as soon as I walked through the door. The agents are fabulous. They offered me refreshments, took me to multiple tours, and made sure I was has happy with the apartment that fit my family size. They kept me posted on my move in date and always informed me to contact the office with any questions are concerns. The complex is clean and quiet. My home is spacious with lots of storage, and it comes with a washer and dryer. I am happy with my new home. Sharon and Beth are the BEST!

This place is amazing! The ladies in the office are so kind and informative. I’m on my own for the first time and Sharon has been so kind and patient answering my many questions. She’s really taking the time to listen to me and showed me the most beautiful apartment. I can’t wait to move in!

Customer service lacking. Maintenance was great. Office staff is lacking in professionalism.

Very steep hill to get to upper apartments. First snowstorm of this year 4 vehicles went off the road into a steep ravine. One had to be totaled. Snow removal started at 8 pm with 6 inches of snow on the ground. The winds causes a lot of damage to the shingles on the roof. It's been 3 months. Lots of apartments have water damage. Their response is to put up blue tarps. Feel like I'm living in a trailer park.

Moving into my first apartment, I expected to have to fight with management over every little thing. But that could not have been farther from the truth! Maintenance is super on top of work orders and always have them filled quickly and professionally. The office staff at Berrington have been extremely helpful and friendly - on Valentines Day, I was delighted to be greeted by them at the front gate, handing out candy bags to residents! I appreciate the location, too. Technically the complex is just outside of Asheville, but it's a quick drive to 40 while also being far enough to escape highway noise. Many of the buildings are high on a hill, providing fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. I love it there and I think you will too!

While building a home in Asheville, we have rented a 3 bedroom apartment in Berrington Village for 6 to 7 months. Taylor Adams and her staff, made check in very easy and the few requests we had were responded to timely and efficiently. The staff is courteous, helpful and easily available. Maintenance is in good order and the common area property is well maintained. The staff sponsors numerous themed community events and maintains good communication through it's residence portal. We would recommend Berrington Village for a short term or long term residence.

My wife and I and our two white fur babies are happy here! So quiet and peaceful. The views are breath-taking. The apartments looks like ole stone castles, in Ireland and England.

Very nice place where everyone gets along. Very convenient to everything shops, malls, stores, gas stations.And schools most of all its close to our jobs i love it people are very nice. When it in winter its kinda rough but we are work through it. Sometimes i hate living on top but the view is gorgeous.

I believe every place, no matter how perfect it may seem, will have pros and cons. I sincerely think this is the case of Berrington Village. It has been a great place to live in the past 18 months, and it has several great things about it, as well as some minor negative things, from the point of view of my own experience. Pros: 1. The view is amazing. One thing I will certainly miss about this place it the view I get to see everyday, especially from the vista. 2. It is well located, just 2 min from i-40 and 7-10 min from i-26. It is also an easy just 10 min drive from downtown Asheville. 3. The apartment and amenities are great. The pool area is very pleasant and clean (they have had a few setbacks in the past month though with the demand). The fitness room is small but does the job, and has good and well maintained equipment. The coffee room is a great place to relax and has a good variety of Keurig drinks. Finally, the movie theater is AWESOME! 4. While the staff has changed plenty in the last year, I have been fortunate to be always well treated by them, and promptly attended when in need. The maintenance staff is trustful and very respectful. 5. Extremely pet friendly and neighbors are friendly as well. Perfect place if you have dogs and/or children. Cons: 1. Unfortunately you can hear noises from coming from neighbors, especially if they stomp when walking. 2. Rent is also on the high side compared to other communities, considering the size of the apartments. However, as I mentioned in the pros, the amenities are great; in the end, the benefits you have are worth the cost. 3. If you live up the hill, you will have to drive to the pool area. However, the hill is awesome for exercise if you can take it. 4. The administration has not been able to keep up with the demands for pool area during the summer, which affected negatively some pool visits, due to lack of seating area and not keeping the ground clean. These are some of the major points I think are relevant for you who are reading. Again, I have had a great time living her with my family during the past year and a half, and would certainly RECOMMEND this community.

My apartments are great. The staff helped me move in with ease. Filling out the application was a breeze. They even provide a discount for people who work in healthcare! I love my place so much I had a friend move in to the building next door! The utilities are reasonably priced. The pool is great! Clean and never crowded. One iof the best features is a movie theatre that seats 20 people and you don't have to pay for it. When my nephews came to visit we had a superhero night in the movie theatre. It was awesome. I love my apartment complex. I plan to be here for quite sometime.

Get knew staff in office and maintenance. The office is rude and maintenance is not as good. Apartments are poorly done.

The apartments are very obviously only interested in making money and not in providing quality to their occupants. For the price you pay monthly you should be able to expect much better quality but everything about these apartments are cheap. The amenities are mediocre and poorly ran and regulated. The only up side to these apartments are the residents themselves.

My likes and dislikes about this community are: I really like the amenities here, and most of the residents are very friendly. However, I do wish there were more people in my age range here.

My likes and dislikes about this community are: I like everything about this community, its a safe and quite place I love this place, the only thing that Really concerns me is the Entrance of the place is really dangerous specially when its raining or there is a lot of traffic they should really do something about the entrance but besides that I'm happy with where I'm at. My likes and dislikes about this community are: This apartment complex is in a very advantageous location to Asheville. Not in downtown but quick in and out to get there. Local grocery, pharmacy and other local amenities under a half mile away. It's less than 5 mins from the Blueridge Parkway. You will always find biking and walking/hiking. The top apartment buildings have a stupendous view of the Asheville western skyline. The pool, onsite gym, and movie rooms are great. Great access to I-240, I-40, downtown Asheville, and I-26.

I have lived here for a year and recently renewed my lease. The original staff was quite responsive and I hope the new staff is as well. The population has grown significantly in a year. I disagree about the poor construction and noise noted by another reviewer. The floors between units abate normal noises. Most apartment complexes are judged by the problems caused by noisy and rude residents and the management's handling of such problems. The management at Berrington Village is addressing problems with pet waste, gate crashing, and common area use. I hope they keep up the pressure on thoughtless residents. I am satisfied here and recommend the property.

The apartments look very nice from the outside. There are many downsides to these apartments. The apartments are cheaply and poorly built. You can hear all the neighbors inside the apartment and outside. Everything on the inside of the apartment is cheap. Very basic. Gold fixtures, no lights or fans in the extra bedrooms. Who rents a place with no lights. Everything is very,very basic for the price of rent. Lastly, the layout of the apartment was poorly thought out. I lived in a 3 bedroom. I would not recommend this property to anyone!
