Property Ratings at Bethesda Place
My husband and I really enjoyed our time at Bethesda Place, and I would highly recommend the building to someone who wants to be able to easily walk to Bethesda Row and Woodmont Triangle. There really isn't a better location! The building also has an attached parking garage that is very reasonably priced, and you're at the metro within a few minutes. It's an older-style building, and the units aren't as modernized as the new buildings in Bethesda. However, you'll have far more storage space and larger bedrooms than you will at any of the newer buildings, and you'll never hear your neighbors. A two-bedroom was perfect for both of us to work at home every day. The construction next door is done, so noise wouldn't be an issue for any new tenants. We always felt taken care of, and Evelyn is especially great if you need any assistance. My only minor complaint was that the maintenance team never really seemed to solve our problems. The guys were really nice, but we learned to live with certain small issues (thankfully we never had any real maintenance problems). What the building lacks in amenities, it makes up for in a wonderful front desk team and solid, quiet, spacious units.

Great building, staff and location. I just recently moved here from Georgia and couldn't be happier with my choice to rent here!! All of the staff, front desk, porters, engineering, management and security guards are all fabulous!! The apartment is very spacious and although construction is right next door, unless I have my window or sliding glass door open I can barely hear a thing. Love, Love Love this place!!
If you work remotely or telework, don't live here. Construction has taken place on literally every side of the building, with constant noise during business hours and the occasional pounding at night and on weekends from the adjacent building site. Management is friendly but incompetent. Will post and waste paper on inane 'memorandums' that could easily be sent in an email. Water and elevators will be shut off/not work at random hours during the day too. Apartments are renovated, but calling this place 'luxury' is some kind of stretch.
The staff here are what make it such a special place to live. They are friendly and really bend over backwards to make everything perfect, from the management to the front desk staff to the security folks and maintenance team. The staff here would sooner die than have anything be wrong with your apartment. The folks who live here are pleasant and the building has a community feel with a nice mix of families, young professionals, and retirees. The apartments are large compared to other options in Bethesda and the construction is superior - in six years have scarcely ever heard sound from any of our neighbors. The newer buildings seem to have smaller units and the walls are more flimsy - for the premium rent, they charge it just doesn't seem to be a good tradeoff. The location here is amazing as well - 1 block to the Metro, 4 blocks to our daycare, 2 clocks the elementary school - a million restaurants in walking distance. I would really have to think hard to find downsides to mention for this building - there is a lot of construction nearby, but that really hasn't bothered us and seems to be everywhere in Bethesda. The recycling bins are in the garage, which sounded inconvenient, but we just take the recycling when we go to the car - haven't given it a second thought after we moved in. Overall, we are really happy to live in Bethesda Place and will be said when (if) we move out someday,
Bethesda Place is in a great location - about a block from the metro and just a short walk to Bethesda Row and other areas of Bethesda. The restaurants in the area are great. After almost two years, i am still exploring and tasting. My one bedroom is perfect for me. I love my balcony and having my own washer and dryer. The gym is small, but I usually have it to myself. The staff is wonderful. The leasing team and property management to maintenance and security - they are all friendly and welcoming. Overall, I enjoy the building and am happy that i moved in.
We lived here for over three years. The location is unbeatable. Bethesda Place is a very short walk to the Bethesda Metro Station (Red Line), walking to all parts of downtown Bethesda (centrally located between Woodmont Triangle, Bethesda Row, and Wisconsin Avenue), and an easy bike ride to the Capital Crescent Trail. The apartments are recently remodeled and well-maintained. The building management is friendly and easy to work with. Other than the recently added (and nice) fitness room, there are not a lot of amenities in the building, but what it might lack in amenities it more than makes up for with relatively large, quiet, and nice apartments. The apartment community is nice and very child-friendly.
I spent 3 years in this building while commuting between home and work. It is a very well run and neat apartment building. The staff was tremendously responsive which was very helpful not being a DC native.
