On July 24 at approximately 8:30 pm, myself and my passenger were headed out of the complex in the direction of the west gate when I ran over something that forced my car to almost swerve had I not kept control. My passenger got out to check and discovered this. An uncovered drain. A group of fellow residents along with their children witnessed the event and heard the noise. My rim has damage and my tires are ruined. Myself and the residents contacted the after hours hotline and tried our best to warn others to not make my mistake until maintenance came to fix the matter. We reached out to non emergency local services who advised us that since the community is gated, it’s private property and must be handled within. I also requested a call back from the manager first thing in the morning regarding this. The next day… nothing. From anyone. The office had been open for almost 2 hours before I went in person to discuss the matter. I assume the property manager wasn’t available. The assistant property manager was of no help, she seemed a little nonchalant regarding the matter and compared this situation to things it can’t compared to, such as if the gate hit my vehicle. The thing is; I was operating a vehicle and this caused my vehicle to almost swerve. I could have hit someone or someone could have fell in this drain. I was simply advised to “file with my insurance.” Nothing else was offered to compensate for this inconvenience. I was informed that this was a property of a certain caliber but since I’ve moved in, nothing backs that up. This experience in addition to taking 3, 4 days to come unstop a toilet that had waste in it? Laughable. I’ve gotten second opinions of other leasing agents who actively work on property and in corporate, and they have said this isn’t being handled correctly. This wasn’t a natural disaster or a car burglary or a gate issue. An error on a Weinstein Property caused damage to my vehicle.

while i love the unit, i feel it's super cozy but i can honestly say that next year i don't feel I'll re-sign. i love it, but the parking is horrible. if I'm paying rent, i feel as though i should have at least one space. who wants to walk from the back of the complex at night alone when getting home from work? i hate it. can not wait for my lease to be up.

- Staff is incompetent and never on the same page. - Staff takes too long to resolve simple issues. They hardly ever follow up. - Staff lies to you and tells you they will work with you with issues but they don't care. -They claim that they need to go into apartments to change air filters but mine has still been the same one. -Gates are always broken or amenities are always under maintenance. -There's theft and staff claim they can't do anything about it. Makes you question what the staff can actually do. -Staff openly disclose private information about other tenants and then lie and say they don't. -The more you interact with the staff, the more you understand that they are not there to help you at all. -Noise levels are bad. -There are always dog droppings everywhere even on the concrete. -The property is severely mismanaged. Please do not rent here. Please go somewhere else.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. They're working with a really sketchy towing company that is charging $300 per car that gets towed away and they only accept cash or amex only. This towing company is in Plano and more than 30 minutes away, it's happened to be the same towing company that towed my friends car at another apartment and they had the same experience as mine. They have been saying that they're trying to improve the parking situation but now it's getting even worse. All the people from the leasing office are liars since they kept denying that they have nothing to do with the towing company and for some reason they just appear inside the complex and tow cars. They can be really nice to you at the beginning but when you become resident here they just don't care anymore.

I have been a resident here for more than 18 months back when the complex was called "Ascend at Westridge" When we first came across this complex it was very pleasant and things were fine PARKING: There is no way you will find parking near your building as early as 4:30PM on any day. I have, as well as others, parked in firelane areas because there is no parking in the ENTIRE COMPLEX! There is no assigned parking whatsoever (unless you pay the $125 fee for a detached garage) For "LUXURY APARTMENT LIVING" I should have, at the very least, 1 space that is relatively close but no. NOISE: I constantly hear people play their loud music/rev down the streets nearly every day/night. The neighbors above and below me constantly slam their doors in the early morning (kids) and the ones above me are constantly slamming their feet shaking everything in my apartment. I, as well as many others, have brought this to management to address but nothing is ever done. We have been getting "noise reminder emails" (I have included this in image). There is still no change so we are forced to just deal with it. I once was awoken around 2AM on a weekday because of a noisy neighbor, I called their after hours and was told someone would come out but nothing ever happened. The after hours help is a scam and never works, there is no help, It is all LIES. OTHER ISSUES: Dog owners leave dog poop everywhere. On rainy days there is dog poop on the sidewalks to go to the parking. There are constant "reminders" but it does not help at all. Also, the dogs can be annoyingly loud. Must be an absolute nightmare for people that live near the "dog park" Not Bexley's fault but there is barely any reception/service for phones. We have used both AT&T and Verizon and they both suck here. MAINTENANCE: I have had multiple apartment issues but they were quickly addressed by the maintenance team.They are polite and get the job done usually after 1 trip (sometimes it takes more than 1 visit to address the issue but that is just the nature of it) SUMMARY: In my opinion, Bexley ruined this complex by lowering standards and they do not care about current residents. They only want to bring new people in and lock them in. Best bet is to look elsewhere. You've been warned.

I've lived here for a couple of months now and love it. The property is well maintained, the amenities are awesome, and the apartments are beautiful. Cooper and Zana in the office are polite and professional. I'm really glad I chose to live here.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. I thought things would be better with the new management company but I couldn't have been more wrong. Cooper and Taylor are so rude whenever you go into the office. Taylor will not even talk to you especially when you have an issue. Several times I have taken a half day from work to stop by the office to get an issue resolve with Taylor she will ignore us or just continue eating lunch. We have had a noise issue for 3 months our upstairs neighbor have more than 3 people living in a 1 bedroom. We have notified management of this an nothing has been done other than adding them to the lease. This should have been done at move in not after you get a complaint from a resident. We have also sent an email to Management on June 16th to get an update. As of today June 26th we have not to receive a response or a courtesy phone call by Taylor (Property Manager) I have been in the office before and heard the employees making fun of a tenant who came in to place a complaint.

On May 14th, my car was broken into and a my gun was stolen. I had the police to come out and made a police report. Being that there was no security or no way to contact security on site, I had to wait to notify the personnel in the front office. I gave them the information and also the police report number and was told that they will send out an email to notify the community. The first day nothing was sent out. I was puzzled being that a gun was stolen and nothing had been said the let people know. So I returned to the office on the 15th just to see if they had maybe forgot the situation. I was told nice again that they were going to to send an email out but this time the gentleman had an annoyed attitude. Now today is the 16th and still no email to the community. I have done what I needed to do but I will take it further by posting on every social media site to let people know how this situation has been treated within your company.

My husband and I walked into the office at 5:32pm looking forward to seeing an apartment that we saw online. As we walked in, we saw 2 women sitting at their desks and we just KNEW that this was going to be a good experience. When asked how I could be helped, I responded “We were interested in viewing an apartment.” Without asking any other questions, 1 of the women responded “we usually stop showing apartments around 5:30 because we close at 6. But I could give you some information.” Uuummmmm, that really confused me for 3 reasons. Reason #1, It’s 5:32...that’s around 5:30 isn’t it?? Also, even if you stopped right at 5:30, it’s literally 2 minutes past that. Are those 2 minutes really that detrimental??? Reason #2, You’re literally sitting at your desk doing nothing. 1 of the 2 people couldn’t take 10 minutes out of what they were doing to show me an apartment? Surely it would NOT have taken 28 minutes to show an apartment. Reason #3, if I wanted “information” I would have led with that. Overall, I was extremely disappointed because my husband and I rushed to get there after I got off of work and we weren’t able to view the property because of TWO MINUTES.

I would recommend this apartment community to family and friends. I really like the NEW just built apartments. (I believe mine is one year old) It's a selling point, to have "like new" facilities. I love that it is gated, no marginals entering the buildings. It's pretty quite for the most part.
I would definitely recommend this apartment community to everyone I know if they are looking! First off, I believe that the apartment managers play a big part in if you want to move into an apartment complex or not, and both of Asend's leasing professionals Yadi (I believe I spelled her name wrong) and Anna played at HUGE role in my decision to want to move in to Asend apartments in the next upcoming months. I believe that it is important for the leasing professionals I will be interacting with for the next several months if not few years are nice, friendly, professional, kind and considerate. I'm paying not only for the place itself, but also for the property managers, the maintenance crew and so forth. I expect that a safe, positive and comfortable atmosphere is carried from all of the staff wherever I choose to call home because those are the things that makes any place you stay at feel like home. And that is what those to ladies showed to me! They where friendly, positive, and showed us such wonderful hospitality during our tour that they made it hard to look, or even move anywhere else! Those two ladies, plus seeing the maintenance crew working around the complex, sealed the deal for my husband and I moving in a few months! This was the first time that I was sold not only on the apartment complex/unit and amenities, but also on the AMAZING property managers, too! That was a deal breaker for me and needless to say, they stole us from another apartment complex! I can't wait to move in!! Great job ladies, maintaince crew and owner! Everyone who puts into this apartment complex, you guys are doing absolutely ASTOUNDING! Please keep up the great work, good rates and fantastic community!

I visited the office on 10/7 and after leaving the leasing office I was compelled to apply so, I completed my application process on the spot. I greatly appreciate Ana for her level of professionalism and for making me feel much at home. Grac?as!😉
My building is pretty quiet, which is a big plus. Don?t have knowledge though of others. The landscaping here could use some tlc! , also the stairways are not up to par as far as cleanliness, otherwise no problems.
Prices are a little high and parking is a problem but that is common in all apartments. Other than that warning, I would still recommend.
I would recommend this apartment community because the people r friendly, very clean,nice and organized community.
I love my apartment and the community! The only thing that would make me hesitant in referring anyone is the parking!

I have been very impressed with the maintenance staff here at Ascend at Westridge. Carlos and another gentleman who if I recall was named Kerry, have been extremely nice and very helpful. I appreciate all their hard work and for completing my requests within 24 hours.

Everything looks great except for the price. Expensive monthly rate, comparable to house renting in same area. Break lease of 2 months is also a concern

All the staffs and Managers are loving! Always willing to help! I remember when I moved in December last year Nicole was awesome and friendly.Thr same with Yardi. I am now planning to be here for more years as against my initial plan. I will like to move to a 2bed!
I do love the community! My only concerned is that it takes forever to get things fix. I do understand that the personnel are busy! I have being very patience! I still would definitely recommend this apartment to others. Hopefully things get better soon. Thanks in advance.
The lack of office communication makes it difficult for residents. They need to worry about the residents they have before they start leasing to new residents.
I appreciate that it's a non-smoking community. However, if we have guests that smoke, they have to walk out the gate and there are no ash trays for them so there are a lot of cigarette butts all over the entrance.
I think one item that needs to be addressed is the garbage and recycling area. Its seems to be in a non-stop state of overflowing which leads to a concern of smell and bugs and might prohibit me from fully recommending. I am not sure of the cost associated with this but maybe there could be one or two more areas set up for garbage and recycling.
I would recommend this apartment community because it is a newer community with terrific floorpans (resident of an A2 floorpan). The amenities in the actual apartment (appliances, cabinet space, fixtures) and outside of the apartment (pool, putting green, volleyball court, gym) are definitely valuable and are nicer than most apartments I've toured or lived at. It's a quieter community, so you'll have your peace and privacy when need be!
The apartment is super nice. I really like the fact that the kitchen has lots of cabinets. The community is also a very nice place.

Christine was awesome person , she make us feel very comfortable and answer all all our question , for us is very important be sure after live in a home that our kids feel confortable and have a lot fun living in apartments, we are very interested abut rent the apartment!
I lived at this apartment complex for only a few short months. Unfortunately, due to my relationship ending, I could no longer afford the apartment by myself. I had to move out. Because I'm a responsible person I immediately contacted the apartment to see how I could legally get out of my lease. They gave me a figure, I gave them a move out date, and immediately starting hoarding money to be able to afford the cost. In the meantime I paid my rent, on time, every time. Fast forward to my move out. I cleaned the apartment immaculately, gave them my keys and a couple of weeks later, gave them the buyout money. Every cent. Chapter closed. Right? Wrong. Suddenly, without a peep from the apartment complex, I started getting harassing, nasty phone calls from a creditor in Washington. Saying that I owed Ascend THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS. What?? They called me, my ex, my ex's dad (how embarrassing), my WORK...! I hadn't received one piece of mail from Ascend, not one phone call or email...nothing. I kept telling the creditors that I paid Ascend in full and had proof, and requested that they prove their debt. They didn't, wouldn't, and kept the phone calls coming. I called Ascend a dozen times, I emailed them, I went UP THERE...there was never a manager to be found and no one else could either be bothered or have the authority to help me. Finally my MOTHER had to call and demand answers (I'm 18 and sometimes still need a little help). Ascend confirmed that I didn't owe them a PENNY, could not give any more insight as to why the creditors were calling. Said to simply "decline the calls." Um, no. I don't deserve this kind of treatment and I certainly don't deserve to be pushed aside because I'm young. I handled this situation perfectly and somehow am getting treated like garbage. So now I'm still waiting for someone to contact me and straighten this out, and vigilantly watching my credit report... just waiting for this creditor to dare touch it. Moral of the story? These apartments are nice but the staff is incompetent, uncaring and unavailable.
The grounds to the apartment were not kept up as I would expect...Grass needed mowed, the trash collection was overflowed stacked very high...just in general unkept for a brand new apartment. Disappointing.
I really like my choice of living at this place, Had many choices, however this place caught my attention in several area's.
This is from the fire Marshal. Multifamily Complexes Q. Why can?t I store or use my grill on my apartment balcony? A. Grilling and storage is allowed on fire sprinkled balconies with permission from the property management. The code has always prohibited grilling on non-fire sprinkled balconies. The 2012 International Fire Code has been adopted with the North Texas Council of Governments amendments which eliminate storage and use of grills on balconies. It has been Plano?s experience that grills stored on balconies end up being used on balconies. The No. 1 cause of fire in the Plano and the US are related incidents. According to the National Fire Protection Association 8,600 residential fires involving grills occur each year in the US. The following ordinances and guidelines have been adopted by the City of Plano for storage and use of open flame cooking devices on balconies in multifamily dwellings with three or more living units. ORDINANCE NO. 2013-10-22 308.1.4. Open-flame cooking devices. Open-flame cooking devices, charcoal grills, and other similar devices used for cooking shall not be located or used on combustible balconies, decks, or within 10 feet (3048 mm) of combustible construction. Exceptions: 1. One- and two-family dwellings, except that LP-gas containers are limited to a water capacity not greater than 50 pounds (22.68 kg) [nominal 20 pound (9.08 kg) LP-gas capacity] with an aggregate LP-gas capacity not to exceed 100 lbs (5 containers). 2. Where buildings, balconies, and decks are protected by an approved automatic sprinkler system, except that LP-gas containers are limited to a water capacity not greater than 50 pounds (22.68 kg) [nominal 20 pound (9.08 kg) LP-gas capacity], with an aggregate LP-gas capacity not to exceed 40 lbs. I've been a little demanding but have continued to receive excellent service from patient staff.
Never got to live in the apartments. We waited two weeks until we heard from them via email that we didnt get approved. After calling every few days too see if they heard anything and they always said let me check and I will get back to you. And I never heard from them. Then after we got the email we called and asked what else they would need from us to get a approval, and they said theres nothing. We even had a cosigner lined up. My husband was on the phone for less then a minute and the lady just said no. She didn't even ask for our info. So how would she even know. Its like they had someone else lined up for the apartment. We are so upset. We loved when we talked to Elizabeth. We loved the look of the apartment and they did nothing to help us or even give us info after we paid the $175. I wish things worked out differently.

Maintenance has really done a horrible job of getting what I need done. I have had to ask multiple times to get the same thing done and am still waiting.
Price is fair, I am hoping it remains the same after my first lease expires. Depending on if and how much if increases will be a factor if we stay another 15 months.
I would recommend this community because it is very nice and clean. I did recommend 2 people who had awful experiences trying to lease here and therefore 1 of them ended up bailing on moving in here due to the not so pleasant experience.
Noise level between floors seems limited. Would like to be able to have people over at my apartment without the neighbors complaining that we walk too hard.
For one the apartment is brand new, who wouldn't want to live in a new apartment? It's really centrally located to all of the things I am used to having such a grocery stores and big box stores as well as entertainment and I like how the apartments are laid out. I feel like it's more of a home-y feel to it.
