Bexley is a small city about ten minutes east of downtown Columbus and completely encircled by its larger neighbor. Bexley’s layout is primarily residential, with suburban neighborhoods providing the city’s most dominant characteristic. The local school system earns excellent ratings, adding to the appeal for families.
The small, private Capital University sits on the south end of the city, home to some 3,500 students in total. The large public parks along Alum Creek are quite popular for hiking, biking, and simply enjoying the sunshine.

Property Ratings at Bexley Village
The area is not safe for tenant property. I recently received a flat tire from nails being in the parking lot! The property manager does not care that tenants are subject to ongoing construction, lost parking spaces, and that the spots that are available are covered in nails. Please fix this Smith & Tandy and focus on quality over uncaring management and construction!

I lived there for a year and the worst part was when the landlord kicked us out for construction for multiple weeks! The property management barely compensated us, gave us no place to live, and I struggled financially.

I love living in Bexley Village. It's in a nice area within walking distance of various fast food restaurants and a small, independently owned grocery convenience store. If that doesn't suit you, Kroger is a quick drive down Sheridan. The neighbors tend to keep to themselves mostly; a downside if you enjoy living in a neighborly environment. Being near Capital University, many students (including myself) call it their home. Occasionally they can get loud a bit later than is comfortable, but this doesn't happen too often. There is an open pool, though I personally don't go there often so I can't vouch for it. There is also a small facility of coin-operated laundry machines. Make sure to bring your rolls of quarters though, because there is no change machine in sight, and each load costs $2.50 to run through the washer and dryer. As far as the apartment itself goes, it's fairly nice. We've had a few very minor issues here and there, but maintenance is always quick to respond. The bedrooms are a comfortable size, but the kitchen and dining room can be a bit claustrophobic. Though there is a dishwasher installed if you hate scrubbing dishes. The balconies are nice, but there isn't much of a view aside from the occasional neighbor taking out trash. The wall facing the balcony is covered in windows, though, which provides a lot of necessary natural light. There are no ceiling lights in the living room and bedroom, but there are switches connected to a single outlet into which you can plug a lamp. Depending on what you're used to and who you live with, the bathroom situation in the two-bedroom can be a bit funky. The first bathroom, accessible via the hallway, is a half with a toilet and a sink. In this bathroom, there is a door to the second bathroom containing the shower and another toilet. This one has a door that leads to the walk-in closet of the master bedroom, inside which is another sink. Best to speak with your roommate/family in advance about bathroom procedures.
Although this is an older & dated complex, it is quiet and enjoyable. The staff addresses concerns quickly and professionally. There is a good mix of professionals, students, and families. A pool helps pass the summer and a bike path is extremely close by. Bexley is a wonderful community that has an excellent school system. Thank you Bexley Village!!
This is a great complex to live in for those who want a small town feel 5 minutes from downtown. Bexley is a beautiful enclave near downtown. The complex is in the corner of Bexley and has a great pool. The first floor units often have patios that are dug into the hill, which I would not be a fan of, but the second and third floor units have great spacious balconies. No laundry hook ups in the units is a little inconvenient but they do provide a decently priced laundry facility. The buildings have character, and are plenty spacious.
