Property Ratings at Bidwell Oaks Apartments
This building is unuique in that it was built to be a senior citizen facility in 1976. Some seniors still live here, which makes for an interesting mix of residents. The apartments are maintained, but dated and the common areas still have the presence of the senior living decor. The proximity to highway 32 and the fire department makes those sounds easily penetrate the single pane windows especially on the Salem Street facing side. The building exterior doors are locked every night similar to hotel buildings. There is off street parking available in the back to residents. Convienent coin laundry equipment is maintained within the building on multiple floors and the elevator along with rolling carts make carrying groceries to upper floors easier. Overall, living here is pleasant and being so close to CSUC, walking will save you on campus parking too.
if you like to live near downtown, like living in a quiet community, and enjoy living near the CSU Chico campus, then this place is for you. the building is walking distance from the transit center, downtown shopping and nightlife and less than a 10 minute walk to the university campus. great price range for students and offers studio, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. overall a pretty good place to live.
