Historic Hanover Square, with its stunning architecture, brick-paved sidewalks, period lighting, and wide variety of locally-owned shops and restaurants, is the picture-perfect heart of the Village of Horseheads. But there's more to this village -- and the town that surrounds it -- than its quaint downtown shopping district -- Horseheads has a long history, dating back to an event that took place during the American Revolution.
In 1779, Major-General John Sullivan marched through the area on a 450-mile journey known as the Sullivan Expedition -- a Revolutionary War campaign against the Tories and the Iroquois Confederacy who supported them. Unfortunately, the long journey took a heavy toll on the horses, and many were put down. So many, in fact, that the Iroquois later collected the skulls and lined them up along the trail as a defiant warning. That stretch became known as the "Valley of Horses Heads," later shortened to Horseheads.

These are brand new construction beautiful apartments . Safe , clean , friendly and secure . Plenty of storage space ,on site laundry and workout facility . Walking distance from stores , banking and restaurants .

I am a single mom for the last two years I was looking for an apartment to move back to Horseheads becasue I really wanted the feeling of safe quality. Biltmore Crossing was prefect. It is in the perfect location and it is a safe and secure place. the Mangement is wonderful and great. They are always there through email or on the property during business office. It is a income based living complex and it is perfect for a single parent. As much as people think I am crazy and that I sould invest in a house, as a single parent I found what I was looking for and it is perfect for my son and I. Love the space and it is great that they have a small fitness room also.

This apartement iswonderfull in location and every thing i just got it in right time when my husband kicked me off last one ididnt know where to go till i found it i was looking for good location in horseheads and safe and clean place for. Me and my son
