The city of Midland forms the western cornerstone of central Michigan’s Tri-Cities region, a rough triangle that connects the community to Bay City and Saginaw. Consistently appearing highly on lists of best American cities for families, Midland adopts a mostly suburban atmosphere filled with quiet neighborhoods and boasting exceptional public schools.
The community is rich with public parks and golf courses, providing numerous opportunities to get outdoors. The charming Downtown district along Main Street features a popular collective of specialty shops, eclectic restaurants and bars, historic architecture, and a farmers’ market overlooking the Tittabawassee River. Drop into Café Zinc for your morning caffeine fix or swing by WhichCraft Taproom for a bite and a pint in the evening. One of the city’s most unique landmarks is the Tridge, a three-directional bridge that spans the river to connect Downtown to Towsley Dike Park and Chippewassee Park.

Property Ratings at Birchwood Pointe
My unit upon move-in day… I was very excited when I was signing the papers, I just wish I seen my unit beforehand. The carpet was very wrinkly, torn up, & reeked of cat urine. Torn up screens, allowing bugs inside. There was a cigarette burn on the kitchen counter. The bath water drained within minutes & hot water was limited. Overall, not worth what I was paying for in rent. The only upsides was the abundance of natural light & friendly neighbors. Staff / Maintenance… Staff in the beginning was a pleasant to deal with! While living there, a new leasing agent & manager came in. The pool was never open, I was given extra charges, & they always refused to speak with me. Maintenance was a pain to deal with. If there was an issue, it took forever for them to assist me. My hot water tank gave out one day, but they were unable to fix it until the next day. That is something I personally consider as an emergency & was hoping to get the issue resolved immediately. Another time, my janky garage door locked me out. Maintenance was trying to charge me $50 just to simply unlock it. Thankfully my neighbor had a lock picker, since he went through the same issue many times before… Birchwood Pointe Apartments are charging WAY too much for how outdated & rundown they are. As I said in the beginning, don’t trick yourself into renting from here. You can do much better, as I did.
I am a local teacher and I was hired right before school; therefore, I had to move ASAP. Birchwood Pointe Apartments were so accommodating and were able to make my moving process smooth, simple, and quick. I have been continued to be impressed everyday that I live here. The entire staff from the office to maintenance is so friendly and most importantly great at their job. They always put residents first. My apartment was perfectly clean when I moved in and any concern you have the maintenance worker is always quick to respond. Living here feels very safe and is a nice and quiet community. My apartment is very spacious and feels like a home. Overall, I am very pleased that I chose to live here and I would recommend it to any one that I meet. Good luck apartment hunting!
I am a CNA and work for a tenant at Birchwoood. The floors and ceilings are made of paper. You can hear the tenants above you actually urinating; you can hear the toliet spashes - and you can imagine what else can be hear! There seems to be only 1 handy man. If there is something wrong - expect more than a week. I have pictures! Pipes broke in apartment above - - The pipes were fixed for the above apartment but there is still a whole in my boss' ceiling apartment! The apartment above leaks into the bathroom tile. Nobody uses this shower as it's only for CNA to go to the bathroom in. There started growing BLACK MOLD. After 10 days of my boss waiting for them to come. I went up there and told them about the black mold - they questioned me: How do you know it's black mold? Duh! it's black. They came in and just peeled the paper off the wall - so now it's just chalk showing. They removed the caulk from the tub. And it's been over 2 weeks and the bathroom IS STILL in this shape! I have pictures! If I could upload them to this site I would!!!! The rent is ridiculously high for what is offered! RUN - RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPLEX!
