This place is a slum.
The moment you step into the property, the stench of human waste hits your nose. It has not been cleaned in ages and smells like a subway. An actual underground subway. The walls of the poorly-lit hallways are littered with filth, the carpeting on the stairs soiled beyond being able to identify what the original color of it was. Speaking of stairs, they are the ONLY way to get to the higher floors: There is no elevator. If you choose to not take the interior stairway, there is a highly unsafe iron fire escape accessible in the rear, complete with broken steps and loose handrails. This building should be condemned, the renters placed into more hospitable accommodations and the owners sued into poverty.
