Nashville’s West End is a sprawling district filled with a mix of suburban and urban neighborhoods. The family-friendly atmosphere on this part of town is largely made up of safe residential streets and a tight-knit community. Within the West End, there are two universities: Lipscomb University and Belmont University. The college town feel is apparent in the West End, and there are great public and private schools to brag about as well.
West End’s residential streets are a mix of stately homes, longstanding homes, and upscale apartment communities. The Mall at Green Hills is the best opportunity for locals to enjoy a wide variety of retailers, and nearby, check out the Bluebird Café, an iconic live music venue. Historic mansions, museums, sites, and landmarks sit throughout West End, such as the Belmont Mansion near the university.

Property Ratings at Blackstone Apartments
I’m not the best writer, but I will say boy do I love it here. Feels like a home and a community. I’m obsessed with my apartment as well. I mean you could put a trash bag covered couch in one of these apartments and they’d still look like it belongs in a home magazine.
I've resided here for years and attribute my stay to the prime location, peaceful surroundings, friendly tenants, great management and maintenance staff, and rich history and unique character in each unit. All in all, it feels like a home.
I think these apartments are seriously some of the most beautiful ones in nashville. It’s really rare to find a historic apartment that -excuse me for saying this- but look like crap. These are really well kept. Maintenance finished my work orders super fast- and has been really efficient. Office staff is good about answering my questions and they’re actually nice to talk to when I pass by on my way to do laundry. Really love living here!

Hi! We're so glad you feel that way! We try our best to keep our apartments looking their best for our residents! Thanks for your review.
I love the vintage look of Blackstone and how much character there is. I do wish there was more parking, but other than that I truly believe this is a diamond in the rough! What got me was that this was is lowest rent in West End. As we all know the rents are ridiculous now, so it was nice seeing that there are still decently priced apartments. Don't get me started on how HUGE the apartments are too. Since they changed management, the office team has always been very sweet and on top of the maintenance requests I've had.
Broke a lease 6 months early and 4 years later the Lee apartments are suing me for nearly $4,000!!! I broke the lease because of the mice in the walls and in my apartment. I had made over 5 maintenance requests within the first few months of living there (i.e. pipes leaking). DO NOT LIVE HERE..there were also cockroaches all in the stairwell, which you had to take 75% of the time because the elevator was always broken.
I currently live in the Blackstone and have not had HVAC working properly in at least 3 weeks. I also was not notified that my water would be turned off in my bathroom and could not shower in the morning. That evening when I came home there was water all over my bathroom floor. Upon speaking with the staff, they are not going to do anything except work on my HVAC (after the weekend) and say they're sorry. Apparently, because there were not any "extreme temperatures" they were not obligated to fix my HVAC within THREE WEEKS!! I have lived here for 2 1/2 years and have been a great tenant and I think I deserve a little more respect as I have been more than gracious with this situation.

I am sorry you were unhappy with the air conditioning repairs. Unfortunately, the third-party vendor who did the repairs was unable to correctly diagnose the problem the first time and he had difficulty getting the parts, which did delay the completion of the repairs. The repairs were not considered emergency status because the temperatures outside did not exceed 80 degrees, and there were working ceiling fans in the apartment; however, that is not meant to minimize the inconvenience you experienced. I do hope you will accept my sincere apology.
The apartment complex is taking great strides in trying to upgrade these apartments. While living here they updated and replaced the windows. The apartment has a lot of character and charm. The building is close to 100 years old so it's not as energy efficient as a brand new building. If you have an issue with your apartment it's addressed right away and the staff is very friendly.
