Property Ratings at Bloom at Dawson
We had a fire in my building last month because the HVAC system was not properly maintained. I had to move short notice because of it and I’m talking to a lawyer to see what I can do about it. Plus the people in my building were rude and left trash everywhere. There was glass in the parking lot for weeks at a time and kids running out in front of moving cars. Management is not helpful!
The pictures look 100% better than what the actual apartments look like. The floors are uneven and sink in certain spots. The outlets are unreliable, in the 6 months mine went out 3 times. My food spoiled in the refrigerator and they will not replace it. THREE TIMES!!!!
I moved into this complex May 2017 and moved out May 2019. Management seems to change frequently so make sure you read contracts and save all receipts for payments you pay these people. Pros of this complex include: Plentiful parking, spacious closet, washer/dryer connections, work orders are handled pretty quick and the maintenance person was very kind! Pros also include a decent pool, plenty of parking for guest, affordable rent, and total electric units. Cons: thin walls. You can hear a lot from your surrounding neighbors.I ended up in a second floor unit and could hear my upstairs neighbor's every step and let me tell you, he was a very heavy walker! Like dude, do you walk around wearing steel toe boots?! With that alone I was miserable and ready to leave this place. Other cons includes the loose or not working outlets throughout the apartment. If you try to plug something in it will not stay in the outlet. Seems like a safety hazard. Management could also use a crash course in customer service. When I finally moved out, I was ping-ponged between the leasing office and their new management group, Stonekey Group. I wanted to follow up on my deposit refund. The leasing office told me to contact the Stonekey Group and when I spoke to someone at the Stonekey Group they said "Contact the leasing office" so I had a lovely time dealing with that.
Over priced, dirty grounds, people consistently destroy the gate by the 100-400 buildings at the top of the neighborhood so they can easily access the gas station??? Apartment Was burglarized. Graffiti on building. The list goes on.
I have been a resident since 2016 and my experience has been anything except pleasant. The grounds are always full of trash, garbage overflowing, cigarette butts and cigar wrappings in front of my apt. I placed several complaints about the low water pressure over the course of my lease and about the grounds, they make promises to fix the issue and never do. No one is ever in the leasing office to answer your call. They take days to return an email. The business hours are not convenient for residents during the week (closed on weekends). You can hear every single thing through the walls. Their most recent error was entering my apt. for a maintenance request that I never called in. Therefore, they entered my apt. instead of the correct resident's apt. and had the nerve to leave the maintenance request slip on my counter, which is how I know they were in my apt. I cannot wait for my lease to end in Oct and I would never recommend this property to anyone.
My apartment is in a great area with easy access to the major highways in Atlanta 85, 285, 400, and 20). I stay in a roommate style 2/2 apartment on the 3rd level. I pay 940 dollars, and for that I wish we had access to the gym 24 hours, added security with security gates, and a more uniformed parking situation as people park however they want to with the lines being almost non existent. Otherwise it's a pretty good place to live.
