Property Ratings at Bloomfield Place
I lived in this apartment for 14 months, and let me tell you it was the worst time of our lives. The management is horrible - whenever you ask them for anything(maintenance, cleaning) they’ll just say its not their problem…. When we first got to the apartment, we had spider webs everywhere, disgusting windows, mismatched paint, leaky faucets, broken cupboard, unsealed windows (which lead to every form of insect coming through) and I would just be informed that they can’t fix it… Even the common areas were disgusting. If someone dropped a trash, it would stay there for weeks at a time. I would never recommend anyone living here. Its moreso the management being absolutely useless than anything! They do not want to work and do not want to help.

I toured a 2 bdrm unit; compared to other units I had toured recently in the price range, it was a smaller square footage, lacked in-unit laundry, and the layout was ho-hum, but it was cheaper than most 3rd floor units, the grounds appeared to be adequately maintained and pleasing to the eye, and it was at the top end of my work driving distance & time. The person I toured with did not know details like pricing, pet policies, available ISPs, etc. Its okay to not know everything off the top of your head, but at least have a reference on hand or write it down prior to performing tours with prospective tenants. I was told after getting back to the office that the unit we toured was not available as it was on-hold for another applicant, and that no other units were available at this time, but that I should register online and apply. I went back to my car and the system told me I could not apply to the unit as it was not available. The leasing agent said I had to wait until next monday and then the unit might be available then in their system. Okay, well why didn't you tell me that when I was in here 20 minutes ago, prior to me wasting my time?

Thank you and we hope to speak with you soon.
I'm from Saginaw and just started working in Southfield a year ago. I search for the best price within a 50 mile radius and found this apartment. I called over 20 apartments inquiring about price and most of them were short with me or unenthusiastic about giving me pricing. Not only did Bloomfield Place apartments give me great pricing they emailed me, and was very detailed. Being new to the area, and never living in a apartment I felt blessed to have a team that made everything so easy. I only moved out due to purchasing a home but honestly, i would have stayed. This is one of the few places that's dog/cat friendly and family oriented.

Parys, we couldn't have asked for a better review of our community! Thank you for this glowing review of our community. It's so great to see you're enjoying your time here! We aim to make this place an amazing one to live at, so please reach out to us if you ever have any questions about anything!
When I first moved in, I thought the apartment was decent. Maintenance responded quickly, nice location, decent neighbors, I thought the the location was relatively safe. However, after being here almost two years, car parts have been stolen off my locked vehicle in their lot, several packages have been stolen off doorsteps, my neighbors sliding glass door has recently been broken into. They also have no cameras to catch any of the theft and various street lamps burnt out at any given time. Save yourself the headache and find someplace else.

Courtney, it troubles us to read this review as we're dedicated to providing stellar service. We're sorry to see we may have missed the mark with you. Unfortunately, crime has no address and can occur anywhere. If there's any way we could improve your opinion of us please feel free to let our team know. Please stop by the leasing office at your earliest opportunity so we can discuss your concerns and work to resolve them.
Nice neighbors and lovely place if it was kept up. Requests are not done sometimes if it cost something. Bedrooms are nice but places are small for price and staff is unprofessional conduct and not fit . There's a fee for everything and staff gets amnesia at times. Neighbors are nice but there's a few bad ones, like soliciting in front of the apartment before being evicted. Very nice if was kept up for the price and too small for price so people move fast and very incoherent staff and unkind
I have lived here for almost two years. The neighborhood is beautiful and safe. I love that the apartment complex is across from a shopping center. I love that i can walk to Starbucks and go to the golf course which resides next to the complex. I like how big the bedrooms and closets are but the apartment is overpriced as you are mainly paying to live in a nice neighborhood. The apartment and gym are outdated. The walls are thin. The maintenance is slow. Sometimes, the staff are rude, misplace your packages, misplace your rent, and forget your requests. People are always moving out but most people who stay are nice. There are some who don’t follow rules here. People don’t clean up after their pets. One of my neighbors has bonfires on their balcony with their friends and i saw a person grilling inside their apartment just a few days ago. My new neighbors fight with each other waking up everyone in the building. I love the neighborhood but I am ready to move.
They have roaches don’t move there. Staff is rude and takes several request to respond.
Nothing extraordinary about the apartment or facility, however with rent below $800 for a 1 bedroom it is decent value for the area. The pool area is nice and slightly shaded by trees providing a nice area to relax. The "fitness center" is nothing more than 1 treadmill and an all around machine which can be used to do a variety of exercises. The fitness center is nothing that should entice you to reside here. However with an LA fitness next door access to a gym is easy and convenient. Maintenance is typically done quick, within a few days of requesting service. Appliances work great, all though they do look out of date. Cabinet space is extremely limited with and they look very out dated. I have 2 drawers in my kitchen which is hardly enough for all utensils. Laundry in each building is convenient and very quiet, you can't hear them running whatsoever while you're in your apartment even when right next to the laundry facility. AC is cold and heat is warm! Overall the apartment is average and what you would expect for what you're paying in the area.
This apartment complex is in the perfect location. It's a quick drive to larger cities around. The landscaping is well maintained. Whenever I have a package delivered to the office, the staff does a great job at knowing who I am when I pull up and having my package ready for me to pick up.
