Property Ratings at Blooming Meadows South
Aeon, the newest owners of Village Club are on a mission and have a good 5 years or better work ahead of them. THIS PLACE IS A SHAMBLES and going nowhere fast. Aeon is advertising rents at the highest price in our little neighborhood here and the amenities and pricing vary from site to site. Seems a little shady. Look elsewhere. The issues are too many, believe all the negative reviews. We have twice now had to move our cars for snow plowing by 9 a.m. Does everyone work the same schedule as theirs? Coupled with a 5 hour window of when you might be able to repark your car without fear of towing? We were investigating and were able to locate the new pet policy. Seems they are second rate citizens and hey if they want in your apartment the animal goes with you. Isn't it their home too. And then there's the upcoming construction of more buildings 300 units but have seen different numbers..what will quality of life be through that. As previously stated give them 5 years so you don't have to live through the hell that's coming. Nothing is changing but the highly intense chemicals they're spraying to hide the stench.
I enjoy living here, The office staff are helpful and the maintenance staff are reliable. Only drawback is the pothole in the driveway
It has been six months since I moved out and i have yet to receive my $300 deposit or the extra half month of rent I paid. My sink flooded with sewage water and they were unable to fix it until 4 days after. There is dog faeces in the hallways and they are disgusting. The apartments are outdated and need updates. The amenities are nice when they're usable which half the time they are not. The only positive is location to MOA. Bottom line do not live here!!!
I'm sorry to say that I unfortunately have to agree with all the negative reviews posted here recently and have only lived here 45 days. Everything they list is true about all the problems with this complex. I won't go into all the specifics because there are way too many and plenty of people have already described the long list of problems with this complex. It all boils down to terribly poor management and maintenance. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPLEX UNTIL THEY GET NEW ONSITE MANAGEMENT
This is one of the worst buildings I have ever lived in. If you ignore the fact that; maintenance doesn't fix anything, the staff doesn't communicate, pick up the phone, or answer any of your questions, the amenities are always broken or "under repair", the doors to the building don't fully lock, the lights on the exits are all out, the deadbolt on your door wiggles, the bug problem that seems to be perennial, or the property manager treating you with extreme disrespect. The building is in a great location. I would never recommend this place to anyone, even my worst enemies. If we pay rent, entirely and on time every month, we deserve the same respect from the owners. I genuinely believe that the management team does not care for its residents or the building at all. The numerous excuses and blatant lies we have heard are absurd, just fix your building, there is nothing hard about repairing a sink. There are families here that have leaking ceilings; this is not safe! I have seen the maintenance guys just hanging out, and a neighbor has told me that he had to ask them to "get to work and stop their 2-hour hang-out sesh". This building could be fantastic if the people in charge cared at all. We will not be resigning and hope no one else chooses to sign at all.
DO not spend your money here until they fix this place up. The pictures on here are all lies and if you want a clean and beautiful apartment building, look away from this one because they do not seem to care about this building at all. I currently live here and I was very unhappy.
Worst place I've ever lived in. Apartment flooded and has been unhittable for over 3 months and counting with no repairs preformed yet. Management has been very rude with no updates and still expect still full rent every month for the old overpriced apartment. Run fast from this establishment.
We scheduled a tour at 10:30 AM on a Saturday, and had received a reminder email on Friday. We arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule-to be respectful of office members time. When we arrived, the office doors were locked. We waited for fifteen minutes after our scheduled appt time without even being acknowledged (even though staff walked by numerous times)and decided to leave. If they can't be respectful of time, as a potential tenant, I'm lead to believe they don't want business and don't care about their current residents.
Lived here for four years. So they have a new name now. Only positive is location although crime was abundant and the facilities were rarely working. Mice. Thieves roaming the hallways. I was robbed twice. Indoor pool would be nicer as a skating rink since they kept the water so cold. Loud derelicts partying and ignoring other tenants peace. The only thing that was carried out efficiently was the DOZENS of resident's cars they towed to St Louis Park leaving you without transportation for no good reason. Brutally bad. I grew up in Newark, NJ and missed it soon after moving in here.
Worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Hallways will be dirty for weeks. None of the games work in the game room. The gym has 1 equipment working. First day we went into office to complain, two of the workers were laughing at us. I recommend this place 0/5 and don’t let them fool you into taking your money. Sometimes they change “guest parking lot” into “permit” without your notice and your car will get towed if you don’t have sticker on them. I felt very much disrespected and lied to the first day I moved in.
This is day two without heat and with a leak from the heater in our apartment. It has completely soaked about 3 x 3 ft. Maintenance was notified and even In our apartment last night when it started. They promised to fix it today, and did not. It is 9 degrees and dropping. Multiple messages were sent to the main office and maintenance by both online and phone.
The property is in shambles, repair request take too long, the office hours are often not kept as listed. Management seems to care very minimally about the care of their tenants. For the money I would HIGHLY recommend people interested to look elsewhere. You will only be disappointed.
If you want to throw your money in a garbage can, this is the place for you. The new property manager sends out incorrect late fees, eviction notices, says he did not receive checks, and will not work with you at all. He couldn’t write me a lease with the correct dates or even the correct year on one of them. I’ve tried contacting corporate and have had no luck there either. We have talked to many people in our building and though their reviews are not here, everyone we’ve talked to has had problems. If you have the slightest inkling to move here, do not.
Well I have rented a lot of places but this one is absolutely disgusting. We have never seemed to have a property manager at the property and corporate who come out to the property say they care but nothing has ever changed. If you love to live with rats this will be the place for you. Not only on the 3rd floor apartments are rats but running around the hallways on all floors. All this property and company is good for is taking your money and doing nothing with it. There is mold everywhere in this complex. Me and my roommate have gotten sick from the mold. The only bright spot is seeing India in the office every day.
The apartment is walking distance from a great state park trail, the Mall of America, and a few staple restaurants. Everything you could ever want is a 5-10 minute drive away. The pool is decent, though usually crowded with kids. The noise cancelling is quite good, you won't even hear the plane's flying over the building. The complements end there however. The office staff and management are absurdly rude, and only got worse after the management change. They will find any reason to tow your car (all the way to Shakopee). They will not check your license plate to see if you're a resident, or give you warning. A few quotes overheard from the new manager while picking up a package in the office "On your lease it says we can tow your car for any reason, if you get a flat tire we could tow your car that night" "Don't let them give you any of that BS like the parking pass must have fell off, I don't care, get the car out of here and don't let them off easy". While yes, it is within their legal rights, a little humanity could go a long way. Any complaints about the mechanics or facilities are met with scowls, they are quick to get angry and defensive at the smallest critique. Minor repairs are fairly quick to be handled, but anything that requires more then a part swap is ignored. The apartments themselves are pretty worn down. In lieu of repairs to the falling apart doors, they put on a few layers of thick white paint in an attempt to hold the wood together. The walls are paper thin, more then you'd expect. Me and my neighbor tested to see exactly how bad it was and while laying in our respective beds we could hold a conversation using a normal speaking voice. The appliances are incredibly outdated, don't take my word for it, if you go on a tour, all it takes is a glance at the air conditioner units from outside the building. They are all mismatched, and visibly falling apart. They have a showroom with brand new everything that they will show you, know that is not representative of the room you will get. I'm out of character to discuss them in detail, but the facilities and clubroom are just for show. Nothing fully functions Unless the absolute prime location outweighs all of these negatives, I would not recommend moving here.

Our neighbors would smoke weed all the time it would get in our apartment and they never took care of the hall ways there were trash and dog poop there and full of stains absolutely gross but besides that the office and pool area is kept up nice while the rest is ignored

This place is over priced with poor maintenance. All the repairs are done very poorly and it takes forever to get them to show up. Just keep looking, we are counting down the day until our lease is up.

It's not worth even looking at this place. I could right a short book about all the issues and problems with this place. I will not waste your time having you read my problems so don't waste your time looking at this place. I will just say we lived with live bees for 3 months before they even did anything.

The only thing this place has for it is the location, outside of that it sucks. They have mice in the apartments and always lots of bugs. I can't wait to move out. They will hook you with we are upgrading, but know someone that's been with them for your years and said that's not true. Same old place. They will get you with a good first year and then raise the price over 50% saying that's what the market is Charing. Stay very far from this place if you are smart.

The location is a great, place is very peaceful, pet friendly , lots of families and pretty nice neighbors. The maintenance crew could get requests done faster and the management is not great at all. I give it a three for the location and current residents being great. I would rate it one for management and maintenance.
