There’s a little bit of everything in South Baton Rouge, a terrific neighborhood located about six miles southeast of Downtown Baton Rouge and only about five miles southeast of Louisiana State University. It is home to the impressive Mall of Louisiana, terrific parks and the Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, and the Country Club of Louisiana. The triangular-shaped neighborhood touches on a bend in the Mississippi River, and the Blue Bayou Water Park sits just across I-10.
While renting in South Baton Rouge is a little more expensive than other neighborhoods, the ideal location puts you within minutes of Tiger Stadium, the shops along Perkins Rowe, the historic State House, and the Nottoway Plantation Resort, the largest Antebellum Mansion in the South. With I-10 stretching along the east side, getting around Baton Rouge is quick and easy.

Very friendly staff very easy moved in answer all questions I had with no problems at all ..made sure everything was good inside my unit ..love this place
Very quiet and peaceful. There have been some problems with trash valet, but the leasing office has been very quick to respond to the complaints. The hallways could use a good pressure washing.

Absolutely love living here. It is quiet and peaceful. Shopping is close by and the people are amazing. Nature is just outside our doors with a park like setting.
My apartment experience is been absolutely wonderful Maintenance and staff are on the ball whenever I needed something done It’s nice and quiet. Grounds are kept in superb condition Love it here
I love this apartment complex. The office staff are so helpful and kind. The complex is clean and feels so safe. You’re right next to Perkins Rowe and only 5 minutes from the interstate. It’s the best. 10/10 for Bliss at the Blu.
The move-in process was super easy. Love the management & the apartments. Everything is still nice, clean & well kept. My only “issue” with the community is neighbors making excessive noise past Quiet Hours, nearly every single day. Other than that, totally enjoyable.
I have been a Blu on the Boulevard resident for a month as of today. Blu staff is amazing, neighbors are respectful, property is well kept, amenities are top tier…. no complaints!
Resident Only Entrance Gate (back gate) has been broken for months, the landscaping looks terrible, everything is dying, I have not had grass in my patio area for over one year. When it rains, my area is a giant mud hole. Lots of new residents, but not the quality needed to properly sustain the community. The loud music, marijuana use, barking dogs, and rule breaking is not a good look.
Maintenance can use some improvement. The stairwells also should be pressured washed. However, the apartments are nice and the grounds are beautiful.
Very nice apartment in great location. Staff is awesome and responsive. My only complaint would be the trash valet not being consistent with trash pickup sometimes and the maintenance request not being taken care of quickly. Other than that I genuinely have enjoyed my time living here.
I am a law student in Baton Rouge and I have never seen such egregious behavior by a lessor. I have sued Gray Star in the past for black mold in a previous unit that I rented from the same management company but my apartment flooded due to an issue with the washing machine and they let it sit there until I got back from Europe 2 weeks later. My apartment flooded again this week and they disassembled my AC unit that they never put back together and said it was fixed. My entire apartment flooded a few hours later and they never came back and closed out the maintenance requests as resolved. I’ve never met a property owner or lessor who so readily practices reckless negligence with no regard… I look forward to filing suit and holding these people accountable…

Quiet Community with nice people! Only give 4 stars because there’s too much reserved parking. Not enough regular parking for residents. This can be frustrating
The office staff and residents are great! I love the amenities here!! Maintenance is slow to respond and I haven’t loved some of the issues I’ve experienced with my unit, but all in all, this is a great place to live
My apartment is beautiful! Lots of natural light which I love. The leasing office is amazing! The whole property is well maintained and beautiful.

Absolutely love living here. It is so quiet and peaceful. Maintenance is great and are always timely with their responses. The office is fantastic also.
Do not sign a lease here. I’ve lived here for less than 2 months and have already experienced aggressive neighbors, multiple maintenance requests that went untouched for more than 2 weeks, and asked to switch units to avert all of the aforementioned issues at which point, the property manager told me that I was in violation of the lease because my wife had stayed overnight with me. I am in the process of pursuing legal action to void the lease, but, do yourself a favor and… AVOID SIGNING A LEASE HERE AT ALL COSTS

New management and they are great. The new manager really cares about the property and she makes sure everything is well maintained and rules are followed. Drastic change from previous management. Beautiful property.
New management, new roads, new inside, everything is perfect.

Don’t move here! Loud neighbors with nothing done. Water went out multiple times. Cold showers and low pressure showers since I lived there until I left (6 months). DISGUSTING grounds, literally dog droppings everywhere. No consistency in leasing office or maintenance, no tracking of your issues, just keep calling until they send someone weeks after. Heat/air never working correctly. Just don’t move here

Please give us a call or stop by the office at your earliest convenience. Have a wonderful day!
Forced to move from 17-7 due to construction/reno, at my own expense, no less. Promised a great renovated unit 8-2, with new appliances and upgrades. So disappointing. Upgrades equal a coat of paint and an additional ceiling fan. Rent up $200/month. No frames around the windows, popcorn ceiling intact, unfinished patio storage room, appliances look refurbished, not new. Doors hung improperly so that they stick and are not weather stripped. Greystar management is not helpful. Everything is "out of their control", or their "hands are tied". "We are working on it" is the mantra, but nothing gets done. I have a long maintenance list and in 3 weeks, 1 item has been competed.

Two stars because of cleanliness, location and it being a new building. I have lived here for 4 years and with the new company takeover, all the residential perks are gone. You no longer have paid cable and water included in your rent but the prices went up. We used to have two pools but now there is only one that has not been renovated at all even though everything else has been. We used to have community events but there aren’t any anymore and it takes forever to reach someone. I won’t be renewing next year because honestly, unless you need a pool, it’s cheaper to buy/rent a house. The intersection is real busy at times and the shopping is okay but you spent so much on rent, you couldn’t afford to shop anyway.

We would absolutely recommend this place for anyone! Thank you so much for your support.
When I was apartment shopping it was one of the apartments I was interested in because of the location and the people change my day main Ms. Ashley a wonderful, high spirited woman very kind and patient I recommend if you go ask to speak with her I went feeling upset and aggravated and left in very high spirits. It’s good to know there good people out there
The Park is a beautiful community with very friendly and attentive staff. I have been very pleased with my decision to move here!
Having lived in Miami where the buildings all have to be remodeled due to salt water, remodeling/repair is just a part of life! Although, this place is going through a remodel in some parts, it will be well worth the wait for the location and pricing! The office staff has answered any questions that I have had and shows respect for any concerns that I may have about and during the remodeling process.
Overall: they gave short notice to building residents about lease termination via paper on door notice. Even after finding a new place and won't be living there, they still want us to pay for the remainder of there shortened lease. The owners of this apartment complex decided to start renovations on multiple buildings at once. They terminated the leases of two buildings early by giving notice with a paper stuck with tape to our doors. There was not even an email or phone call to talk beforehand. They gave us 70 days' notice officially to make sure they rode that 60-day line. After talking with an apartment representative, they gave us an option to move to a new location in the complex. Though we would have to move soon after that again because of the renovations. This came with the option of one free month of rent, which is not really free considering the price of movers we would have to pay twice which is costly. This all happened during the months of November-January. The worst time to look for housing. We were lucky enough to find a new place in short notice. After asking the apartment complex to let us out of our already terminated lease early since we would not be living there in December/January, we were told we had to honor and pay the lease. Even though they terminated our 14-month lease with us only having lived there for 4 months. If you want to live in a place where the owner doesn't take your life into account, especially when it comes to money, then this is the place.
Property Manager at Blu on the Boulevard, Responded To This Review
Dear Conner, We're truly sorry for the inconvenience our on-going renovations have caused you. We are dedicated to making The Park on Bluebonnet a beautiful, enjoyable place for our residents to call home. In order to do this, the renovations to the exterior of the buildings are necessary. We are giving the 70 day notice in hopes this gives everyone enough time to find a new home if they decide to move off property. We would much prefer that you stay in our community, but understand that moving twice is a burden. The only phase of residents that are being asked to move twice, if they decided to stay at our property, is Phase I. We only want the best for our residents. According to your sentiment in this review, it's quite possible that you're unaware of a few options available to you. I would love the opportunity to sit down with you and your roommate to discuss these options in hopes of working through this together. Again, please accept our sincerest apologies. -The Park on Bluebonnet Management Team
TL:DR: We were given short notice to move all our stuff out for unnecessary renovations. If we stayed, we’d be moved again. They terminated our lease 10 months early to renovate the front of our building. This renovation involved replacing stucco that had already been replaced 4 months prior. They let us know about these "needed repairs" by putting a letter on our door, giving us 70 days to move all our stuff out. They offered to let us move into another apartment across the complex, but we would be moved again in 3 months when that building would undergo the same construction. If you love moving all your belongings, multiple times, with short notice, this is the place for you. If you would like to stay in the same place you sign a lease for, you should look elsewhere. We had just moved in 4 months before this. When we found a place to move, they would not let us out of paying rent for 1.5 months even though they terminated our lease, and we would no longer be living there. This complex cares more about renovating to increase their rent than about residents that currently live there.

Worst maintenance I have ever experienced! The front staff here is amazing but if you have any repair issue, expect it to never get done. I wish I spent $100-$200 more on a better apartment complex. Do not expect any repair request to get done.
While I originally found this to be a nice place to live, I could not have been more wrong! I had a mold spot on the ceiling that was supposedly “treated” in January, but the spot never went away. I went to to the front desk to speak with Shannon and she said the “primer” to paint over it has been on order for over 3 months. One day, I came back home from work and noticed water on my ceiling and it was leaking. The maintenance guy came out and said it was taken care of. The very next day, more water, this time brownish-red, was leaking down my ceiling again and on my furniture. Maintenance said someone didn't close a shutoff valve upstairs, but they would drain all the water out. When this was brought up to the front while we moved out, they said it was just windows causing it. The front desk lies to you about what really goes on and tries to cover things up. People would come into the complex that did not live there due to the gates being left open CONSTANTLY. Unauthorized people at the pool area CONSTANTLY. There was a few break-ins in trucks/cars as well as apartments. People have no respect for garbage and put their trash all over the place. They did not follow rules to put it in the big bin. When you call to talk to Kerry, she does not call you back. This place is very unprofessional all around. I do not recommend living here at all. It is not worth the price!
Property Manager at Blu on the Boulevard, Responded To This Review
According to our files, the small spot was treated however I apologize that they didn't come back after the primer was ordered to prime. Things happen in apartment homes and we handle it as soon as possible. I'm so sorry for any inconvenience you had while living here. The gates that we were having issues with have been replaced with brand new gates and a new gate system and pool passes have been issued to everyone to make sure ONLY residents and their allowed 2 guest are using our beautiful pools. We have sent numerous emails and even had cameras installed at the waste compactor to make sure that our residents are following our waste guidelines and keeping a very close watch on this. I apologize for not being able to call you back the same day as you called, but I was able to call you as soon as the incident happened at 7pm that night to handle your issues. If you would like to stop by the office, I would love to speak with you about any issues you still have concerns with.
The apartment complex has a pet policy in place, however, they do not make their own employees adhere to the policy. The maintenance guy has a PITBULL on the property and it has attacked already and they are still allowing the PITBULL to remain on the property. We were told that the PITBULL was removed from the property and it has not been removed as told. I called today and spoke with Shannon and she advised that they were not staffed to be able to follow up on those sort of things. The dog is very aggressive and should not be allowed where there is other dogs and/or kids. I asked for the holding company's number and Shannon advised she could not give it to me unless Carrie approved it. This is not very good business practice and Shannon was not very nice or helpful. The management team is very difficult to work with.

This is not the place that you want to live. They advertise themselves as "pet friendly" because they profiteer off of pet owners. Non-refundable pet fee plus a monthly pet fee and on top of that expect to be charged extra "pet cleaning" when you move out even if you clean yourself. Upon moving in, my unit was in deplorable condition due to poor management and oversight. My oven literally did not have a door on it, I had a Frankenstein microwave that was black with a white handle, molding on the cabinets was stripping away, the refrigerator constantly leaked water, there was mismatched paint on the walls, parts of the floor were stripped up, the blinds were broken, and one of the door knobs came off when I tried to open it. Broken things are okay as long as they get fixed, right? Well it took them over a month to get me a new oven and even begin fixing the 7 or so things I had put a work order in for and that was after I went to the office to inquire about them several times. If you're thinking about moving here because they are lax on dog breeds and weights then don't because you'll automatically be out $800 dollars no matter what.

Thank you for taking the time to offer us a review. We're saddened to see your experience thus far has been less than exemplary. We understand your frustration with maintenance, but please understand our team works hard to keep everything in our entire community in shape. They handle work orders in the order they have been processed. We are dog friendly, and we don't want to discourage anyone from being wary of any fees, but pets do require a little extra work to handle and we want to make sure our fuzzy friends are taken care of while still maintaining our apartments. If you have any more questions or concerns, please feel free to call us or come by our office so that we can more directly aid you. Thank you for being a resident at The Park on Bluebonnet!
The park's management and neighbors go out-of-their way too show compassion, sincerity and support in making sure everyone is safe and okay! This is a home environment that is "worthy of a 10 star rating!" May everyone a part of the Park's management and family experience continuous blessings, peace and compassionate support! "Family concern is a major priority" Thanks too "all" who take pride in showing compassionate concern for resident's here at the Park! God bless

I have lived at The Park on Bluebonnet since November. I love the location and the property is gorgeous. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Mayte did my lease and has been great to deal with ever since. Maintenance guys are very friendly. I would recommend this property to anyone that wants a clean, quiet place with great staff that cares.

This place has been wonderful! Our house flooded and the manager went far above and beyond what anyone would have expected to get us set up here. We love our apartment and the beautiful community atmosphere. It's well landscaped and you can't hear your neighbors through the walls. The staff is helpful and we really like the natural setting for walking around a trail on property. They even hosted a nice Christmas party for the residents (with a DJ, catered meal, and nice door prizes). I worried with other apartments we looked at about the safety of my family. This is a great, quiet location and a safe place, which gives me peace of mind for my wife and kids. Also, the residents are quiet. This has been the next best thing for us while we're away from our home. We were doing the three month lease. We feel like these are most definitely the best apartments in Baton Rouge and have been blessed to be here!

The staff is very rude and negligent. First, the phones never work and they lock the doors whenever they feel like it during working hours. My dryer stopped working and I had to out in two work orders and talk to two people before it was fixed. They waited three weeks before doing anything about it. Don't complain to the manager about any rude employee because she will take up for them. Yesterday I needed to retrieve a package from the office and they were closed both times I went. Today they were closed again during working hours so I called and an employee came to rhe door and said, "If it's locked it's for a reason." I was shocked at the rudeness. I've lived here for two years and this is how um treated. I asked him, "Can you do that during working hours?" He said,"Yes!" I told him how they are closed too often during working hours and just yesterday they were closed. He said No they weren't accusing me of lying lol. Then he stood there and said, "Go get your package!" He he just watched me like I was a criminal. I knocked on the manager's door and waited to talk to her and he said, "What are you doing? She's just going to tell you the same thing!" The manger came out and accused me of yelling and barging in her office! I'm just flabbergasted at this entire situation. She told me I'm rude to them and that if I wanted out my lease she would be glad to have me out! I've never been treated by any place of business like this and it just feels so surreal! Don't rent from them. They are overly rude and unreliable!

We have been staying at The Park on Bluebonnet from last 2 years and all we have are good things to say. amazing neighborhood, great support staff, and great people such as Nancy, Carrie, and Mayte. They make sure to address your needs and their topmost priority is customer satisfaction. Maintenance staff is also very helpful and make sure that your service requests are addressed in time.

We are so glad to hear you were happy with your smooth move in process! Our goal is to make everything as easy as possible when move in. Thank you for being part of our great community! -Your Management Team
Great location but they are very slow to repair or replace appliances. Also, there is only 1 dumpster that is always over flowing.
I had really bad experience staying in this community. I recommended good number of my friends to move into this location and have asked them to leave this community as soon as they can. There are list of things that I can write off and waste my time. 1) Maintenace - flop show 2) Cats roaming around in the community 3) trash - a big concern 4) Management - a headache Management thinks that they are doing a favor to the renters by giving them space in their community.
The location is good. Apartments are OK but overpriced. The worst thing is maintenance and office staff. Maintenance requests are never completed with 2-3 reminders over a period of more than 1-2 months. I even had a request (broken window), which was never completed during my lease period despite many reminders. Office staff never listen or reacts to your feedback and they never keep their promise about anything. I would recommend anyone to move to other nearby communities.
