Property Ratings at Blue Rock Village
Turn off your water when they want when I moved in the place smelled like cigarettes for a month or more I had to clean it windows are faulty keep breaking they painted over everything to hide the mess ups the cabinet drawers never open good they are outdated make sure you look around I never had a tour of my apartment I was desperate to move somewhere so I rushed please don’t do the same

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. Please reach out to our offices at your earliest convenience so we may address these concerns. Thank you.
They lied to me about a unit being ready for move in. When presented with the unit it has bugs and spiders webs in the bathroom and room. The laundry door wouldn't open and it took two maintenance people and approximately 10 minutes to open. Once they were able to open it the washing machine and dryer were in poor condition and the knob was missing for the washer. There were cracks in the foundation of the wall and almost a whole in the wall in one of the rooms, the window sills looked like that had mold residue on them, there were stains on the counter, all the drawers were not completely functional, and the smell of the apartment was horrible. I was sure if the smell was a fresh coat of paint or something else, They requested another application fee and another holding deposit even though they lied and didn't provide the product they said they would. There was no apology from the leasing agent, she was just quiet. They completely inconvenienced us and made us completely uncomfortable about moving there because they took little time to prepare the unit. When we were all ready and excited to move in. They are nice people which puts on a great show, but does not cover the concerns of maintenance and taking care of their residents or treating them as if they are valued. They will not give you all the information and will sugar coat things. They want you to sign the lease without them fixing anything first. It felt like all they cared about was manipulating us for our money without actually providing the product up to move in standards so they can make a quick buck. DO NOT PUT IN A HOLDING DEPOSIT WITHOUT SEEING THE UNIT FIRST! RIGHT FOR THAT RIGHT!

Been living in these apartments almost 10 years now and I can honestly say that the manager Michael is hands down one of the best managers blue rock has seen yet . Anytime there is a problem he works swiftly to resolve it . He’s also very understanding and has exactly what it takes to run that place.

Thank you for the amazing review! If you ever need assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to our team! We appreciate you!
It took me two weeks to get a half decent tour and it seemed like they were disinterested in filling rooms. They didn’t even try selling me the apartments, just said I could take a look and pointed at directions tour rooms were at. I want to move in because of the price, but office staff seems like people I don’t want to deal with.
I lived there 5 years. Great staff and maintenance. I had two guys cleaning my apartment for two days . And they changed me 6 hours for cleaning a stove I never used.they took it apart to find dirt . And a bath tube. $150.

This community is a nice fairly safe place to live but I give it 2 for the following reasons: - They don't have security so if you came to an issue with a neighbor, NO ONE WOULD BE ABLE TO HELP YOU AT NIGHT TIME. - Be aware of which apartment you are renting, first see, figure out the neighbors and then rent. The reason is that I live in a one BD apartment on my own and since two months ago they have leased the apartment under me to a family of 3,4,5????!!!!!! God knows!!! First they were using the balcony as a playground. Now every single weekend, they either have people around and party or the couple put loud music on at 11PM, WHILE YOU WANT TO REST, and leave all the windows open and chat the way that like they're sitting in your living room. UNFORTUNATELY since they've move I haven't been able to leave my window open even for ONE SINGLE WEEKEND! So be aware cuz your life may turn to a miserableness life like MINE. This is while when you pass by other building NO ONE is making this much noise that these family of 3,4,5???????? are making. - Other weakness is that office has no POWER over these inconsiderate residents. I have asked multiple times to talk to this people, BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED! - Also location is SO IMPORTANT too. Since I have moved they have started construction RIGHT NEXT TO MY BEDROOM window, and the workers come to work anytime between 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM, Mon to Sat. So another positive point!!!!! you have to ADJUST your life and sleep time with your neighbor downstairs AND the construction WORKERS. SO if you want to pick this community, come and visit MULTIPLE TIMES, cuz your life may become miserable like MINE.
My fiancee and I had an awful experience. Dust-filled insect-ridden apartments with pitiful customer service. We'd thought things were worked out with our deposit, and they still charged us extra for cleaning after leaving the apartment multiple times better than we found it. If you like black mold and being talked to by Michael like you're an idiot, then by all means give this place a chance.
Congratulations Justin!!!! You were a total turnoff for me today. I've never walked out of an apartment office due to the fact that someone was constantly interrupting me, which is what you did. You have very poor customer service skills, and your are working the wrong job. Even when I told you that I was going to get up and walk out, which is what I did, you had a chance to redeem yourself by going outside with me. You chose NOT to do that, which just proves the point that you have HORRIBLE customer service skills, I even went to another property and told them about you. This person that works there thought you had been fired, well, you know what, if I was your boss I would fire you for sure after what happened today. Good luck getting another job, your customer service skills suck!!!
Overall Blue Rock Village is just your average run-of-the-mill apartment complex. There is nothing amazing about this place. Yes, it is in a nicer area of Vallejo and it's fairly safe. Select units, like mine, have washer/dryers in them, which is nice. Otherwise, this place is overpriced like many apt complexes and the utilities are outrageous. I have rented elsewhere and have never paid as I have here in utilities. On average the water/sewer/garbage are in the $120 - $130 range. Blue Rock Village does water the grass in the entire complex daily and I am curious if that gets tacked to our bill. We are very conscious about how we use our water due to the drought. All-in-all, they are okay but I am already looking for my next place to call home
No place is great unless you own it. It was easy moving in, and now i see why. It's all about collecting that rent. Nothing else matters.
I absolutely love my apartment. Such a lovely location here in Vallejo. Very professional office staff. Very neat property. Blue Rock Village Apartments, Rocks!!!
i really like these apartments, I think that the maintainence crew does an amazing job at keeping the the grounds looking beautiful and safe for all ages. The staff is nice and helpful. I wish that the apartments had air conditioning, that would have been really nice with some of the weather we've had lately, but obviously, that's not something they can change now. I also wish that all the apartments came with washer/dryer instead of just select ones... It's a hike to and from the laundry room for those of us that don't have them. We were lucky and got in on a steal for a 2x2. I feel like within the price range, you're not going to find too many differences with options except location. I LOVE the location of these apartments, I feel safe in this newer part of town. I'd recommend these apartments.
Great location, Ladies and Gentlemen in the Leasing Office is very friendly, helpful. I'm happy...this is a relaxing home..... Thank you for wonderful apartment complex......
For Vallejo it's a good place to live. It's quiet, and I have had no issues with neighbors. Mind you, I am in the 2000 block, I hear different stories regarding the 1900 block. I have had no issues with my apt., strangers, or car break ins personally. Like I said, for Vallejo its a decent spot.
Blue Rock Village apartment's located in Vallejo, CA sits high on a rock. 34 miles from San Francisco. Gated secure & safe, nicely manicured community with great amenities. Pools, gym, places to wash your car, kids play ground & Bar-B-Que area. Close easy access to major freeways, major shopping, great restaurants & beautiful weather.
The grounds near the rental office are impeccable, however the rest of the complex is getting tacky looking. Dog poo everywhere which maintenance reluctantly cleans if I complain enough. Understandably the lawns are dry due to the drought, but there could be alot more clean up of leaves, trash and trimming. It takes forever to get a repair. Several apartments and cars have been broken into in the last week. This is a gated complex but feeling safe is not an option anymore.
Blue Rock Village is one of the best complexes in Vallejo. It's quiet, secure, has a lot of trees, and is nestled in the hills. The security deposits are low, but they usually increase the rent every term.
Beautiful place to live, peaceful, beautiful redwoods covering the landscape, well kept grounds, pools, picnic areas, nice large walk in closets and I love living here.
The pictures shown are of the newer models. The complex is a combination of an older apartment complex that was bought out by the company. This can be misleading as the model shown are of the newer area. I was very surprised when I moved into my apartment, does not look like the model. One of the main things that was missing was a full enclosed patio. If you tour the complex you will see where tenants have created their own enclosures some have even built a full size fences. The tenants could be more considerate. Between the loud music blaring from cars and loud annoying bass music from neighbors, I am really looking forward to moving.........
I moved into to Blue Rock Village in January 2013. I decided to live their due to the location and value. The neiborhood around the apartments is pretty good. I take walks around the block daily. The staff at the complex are wonderfull. Always greet you with a smile. In the summer the swiming pool is refreshing. I would recommend Blue Rock Village to any of my friends. Great place to live in the best part of Vallejo.
I've been lucky to call Blue Rock Village my home for a few years. The staff here is courteous, helpful and so friendly! They truly take the time to make you feel welcome. The maintenence team is top notch, always responsive to problems both large and small and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else!
