Property Ratings at Boardwalk
Past management (Progressive Management) at these appartments was excellent, organized, understanding and cooperative. Lynrd is the new management, they are extremely ill organized with both handling money, and payments. Less likely to work with you. Apartment prices went up due to, apparently, "remodeling". Nothing in the apartment itself is changed or redesigned. Past management had no restriction on breeds. Lynrd says no "aggressive breeds" but doesn't specify. If you are an older tenant that has had a previous lease agreement with Progressive Management, basically all of it goes out the door. They lose track of deposits you've made upon moving in, including rent and other fees. They have created rules as they go, and try and justify those rules by charging extra. They expect you to show them receipts of paying what you owe, because they are extremely inconsistent with keeping track of what others owe. I've been with Progressive Management apartments over 2 years. Lynrd took over about 3 months ago. They have since said I did not pay a deposit to move in or the deposit for pets, asked me for proof because their "records" don't indicate a payment. They once told me that I didn't pay rent for two months, when I did, I had to go to my bank print out bring a copy of the cashiers check I wrote them, that Lynrd had already processed and cashed out. I had to show them multiple items and documents proving what I owed was what I owed. Overall, tenants that have been with these apartments for years and years are now being removed through "stipulations" that give them leverage of throwing someone out. Highly recommend to turn away from this.
Property Manager at Boardwalk, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your recent review. I regret to hear that you are unhappy with our management as our staff strives to provide a community that our residents will be happy to call home. Our prices are competitive for the floor plans that we offer. We strongly believe that our community offers value for your rental dollar in a perfect location. We consistently keep up with our competitor’s market rates and invite our residents and prospects tour our community and draw their own conclusions. The Lynd Company has a proven track record of extremely satisfied residents. All of our residents have a lease agreement which our offices will adhere to. Management is in place to enforce the rules and regulations outlined in your rental agreement. Our community does have an open door policy and we welcome current and future residents to stop by and discuss any concerns that they may have in person.
This place is infested with roaches do not waste your time coming here worst place to live ever And the manager is rude!!!!
Run for the hills. This complex isn't worth a second glance. All of the buildings/grounds are infested with not only with cockroaches, but also fleas and bedbugs. Unless you prefer being itching and sick all the time don't do it!! The one buildings roof has been shot for about 3 years and maintenance just threw a blue tarp over top as a fix. It is still on the roof now and is falling off the back of the building and has been fraying and shedding all over the ground and has been blown into the trees and grass. If anything breaks and you have to call maintenance expect week delays or to just be ignored and blown off. My neighbors have a huge gapping hole in there roof so when in rain it rains in there apartment. They have been on maintenance for 3 years now when it first started as a water spot and now it's a huge gapping hole. About a month ago they decided to "fix" the balconies for the top floor apartments since they were crumbing and ready to fall through at any moment. So maintenance came out and their "fix" was to cut plywood and nail over top of the crumbling parts. I watched as the crew they hired to do so litteraly traced with a sharpie an estimate of the shape they need. They would cut the trace then take it up to see if it fit and then have to take it back down about 20 times to keep recutting the same piece over and over again! It took them over an hour and a half to cut one piece of plywood O.o what kind of construction company doesn't own a tape measure?!?!? So yeah don't rent here ever you will regret it for the rest of you life.
If I could give this company no stars I would. Been living here for about four years in this apartment complex and by far has been the worst living situation. We have had a huge gaping hole in our ceiling and when it rains water drips down. They keep telling us they will fix it but has been about two weeks and that hasn’t even included the other times we reported it. Another deal breaker is the infestation of cockroaches and no they don’t do regular pest check ups or control. Spend the extra $100-150 somewhere else or even consider renting a house before leasing with this company.
