This place was a lot nicer than I expected. Staff are super friendly and Bill was genuinely interested in what I was looking for which was very refreshing. The apartments were nice and the views from the outdoor deck were astounding! I didn't rent here because my specific floorplan that I wanted was not available but they are on my radar. 5 stars!

Boathouse property common areas are not regularly or adequately maintained. Common areas are not regularly cleaned and painted. The maintenance team is good and responsive to individual requests for apartments. But they cannot be regular cleaners.

Our experience at Boathouse has been great! This is our first apartment, so we weren’t familiar with how the process usually works. The staff at Boathouse made applying, getting approved, move-in, and getting a new pup so easy and smooth! We have enjoyed our time here these past couple of weeks and all the great amenities Boathouse has to offer! I recommend living here 100%!

Have lived here for 5 years and am disappointed that the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facility has declined. Overloaded recycling rooms, dirty and unvacuumed hallways, exterior windows not cleaned in years, lights in common areas burned out for long periods, and many other examples.

Poor experience. Lots of break-ins and management makes no attempt to let the community know that its happening. Ive seen multiple cars broken into in the parking garage because the gate has been broken for months. The management should be telling people to keep valuables out of their cars and keep an eye out. I have also had my storage unit robbed and seen other too and have seen no communication from management about this. I no longer feel safe living here.

Maintenance person is always very helpful and knows what to do. Most neighbors really friendly and willing to give a hand. Lots of friendly dogs to get to know. Building manager often not available and doesn't seem to know what is going on.

If maintenance were as good as when I moved in, I would give a glowing review. Unfortunately, current maintenance is understaffed and expensive items like window washing are not done, even after requests are made.

Boathouse is a nice place to live, we enjoy the river walk, nice views, east access to I-5 and anywhere in Portland. It feels like we are in nature and not right in the middle of Portland! Johns landing is the best neighborhood.

I am an older widow and have lived at the Boathouse for close to 5 years. I love my little apartment, the quiet, the colors, my view of the river and mountain. My apartment is rated ADA so the halls are wider, counters lower, and appliances appropriate. My largest concern is that my wonderful view is obstructed by 5 years of dirt and river slime. When I was looking at apartments, one of my criteria for moving here included outside window maintenance. I was promised by the property manager that the windows would be cleaned twice a year, and with that knowledge, it was easy to sign the contract. My windows have been cleaned one time in all the years I have lived here. And even then, my patio sliding door and screen were missed. I would love to enjoy my view through clean windows, as was promised by the management, even by the next two property companies.

The new management team hasn't had a chance to prove themselves because of COVID19. I will say, though, moving here for the view is problematic, as the windows have not been cleaned for 4 years, so appreciating that view is blurred. The most recent carpet cleaning attempt was not a good reflection of our maintenance team at all.

I feel very fortunate to have found The Boathouse in John's Landing with my two cats Henry and June. With such a beautiful view across the small marina and over the Willamette, Mt. Hood peaking it's head through the clouds off in the distance, The Boathouse has energized me in such a challenging year.

Arrived here in a hurry and was welcomed by not only the staff but included in the Womans community group, which for me was really important having just lost my husband. It has truly been a blessing for me. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and I LOVE the river walk as do lots of others, though never over welming but very safe. I think this Apartment complex is the best Apartment complex along the river for the views of the river and for the welcoming community. Every one meets in the Heron room for free, VERY good coffee. If you did not know anyone you soon will if you go for coffee or tea. Don't know how I could have been so lucky.

I've lived here since the day that they opened last year and my entire experience has been great! I lived in the area previously for three years and I knew I wanted to stay in Johns Landing because it's such a close community and being someone who loves the river during the summer months you can't beat it! I looked at other apartments in the area and they seemed to lack in the amenities and affordability department so it was a no brainer when I came across this building. I also have a dog so it's great to have the river trail and Willamette Park so close. Originally I moved into a pretty big studio and I'm transferring into a bigger unit and staying as long as I can. Cassandra has been so helpful with all of my questions and pestering over the past couple months and has made the transition so smooth. This new property management team is great and I highly recommend this building to anyone!
