Bonterra is well secured place that makes it feel like home. They have great staff members that are super sweet and have outstanding maintenance. Especially Miyah was so friendly and helpful. I recommend going to Bonterra apartments.

I would recommend this apartment community to anybody looking for a newer, clean, and safe place to live. The staff was very courteous and helpful when choosing my new home. They were very knowledgeable when I had a thousand questions about each apartment. My kids love the pool too!! Steve

First and Foremost the management team at Bonterra are amazing!!! Inessa, Alex, Noelle, and the maintenance staff are truly top notch. They helped me in any issues that may have been presented and in an efficient matter. They're just great! I lived in previous apartments before but I can honestly say Bonterra has been my best experience. The amenities in the apartment are great. It features stainless appliances and a full size washer/dryer. It makes it stand out from your normal apartment and feels very upscale. It's in a great area of town and everything from great restaurants and grocery are within a few miles. The apartment has a parcel service and the office handles package deliveries to a T...especially during busy holidays and when you receive an oversized package. The gym is great for fitness and is easily accessible. The buildings are accessed via electronic key entry so I always felt safe and secure living there. I'm not sure why there were negative reviews here. Reviews talking of smelling drugs or trash not getting picked up never happened as far as living there for me. Talk of receiving fines for having the door prop while moving is bologna. If u need to prop the door for moving it unloading grocery...it is totally acceptable. Just prop it close when it's done. Simple! I lived here for 2 years and never had a bad experience. I would have stayed longer only I was moving to a house. It has truly been a pleasure being a resident for. And it far exceeded any expectations I had about apartment living. - WT

I moved into Bonterra Apartments shortly after the first building was constructed, so I have been here for several years now. I'm impressed with how professionally managed and maintained the property is. The grounds and common facilities are immaculate, my building is quiet, residents are friendly, the managers provide prompt and considerate service whenever I have called upon them. The complex is quiet and the management staff are friendly and courteous. The pool area is amazing and the atmosphere is wonderful. I would recommend Bonterra for anyone who wants to live in a nice complex with friendly people.

Recently moving to Ft Wayne i didn’t know where to move too. With all the options i landed on the Bonterra website and notice all the features it provided. Stainless appliances, washer dryer, dishwasher and more! I have now re signed another year due to feeling a sense of community when i go to the club house, leasing office, gym or to the neighborhood pool. The Bonterra community is dog and family friendly.With the diverse renters throughout the complex the leasing office and grounds team go above and beyond. The staff know your name and make your experience at the apartment complex a great one. If they are unable to provide you exactly what you want/ need they provide options and or solutions to meet any requests. I have worked with Alex on a few issues over the past year and she and the team have been patient, kind , and willing to fix any problem i may have had. Thank you Bonterra staff for all you do!

First of all, they never answer their phone. NEVER. The only time they have ever called me back is when I was first interested in applying for an apartment. Otherwise, don't bother. If you are elderly or have young children, you have to take them with you, walk to the leasing office just so that you can get a simple answer about ANYTHING. 2.) Whatever your base rent is... add an extra $200.00 for water, sewer, trash, admin fees and whatever they want to throw on you! 3) their walls are so thin you can hear everything! I hear whole conversations, people walking loudly, cars starting up from the parking lot or from the garages, and dogs barking all through the day... it's annoying and miserable. 4) You pay full price for trash service even when they don't come because there is a holiday, which means you will be stuck smelling trash sit in your apartment for a minimum of 3 days straight unless you want to take it to the dumpster yourself -- but you still pay full price for trash. Oh... they even skip days that they pick up the trash and management does nothing about it. Residents get fed up and throw their trash BY the dumpster, you if you are in the building facing the dumpster, you get a nice view of the pile of trash outside. 5) Sure the landscaping is nice, but when you walk around the apartment and you pass the trash where residents place their dog poop, you get a good wiff of dog poop that has been sitting their for days because the trash is overflowing and maintenance doesn't change for several days. Male dogs walking by pee on the building and the first floor furniture on the porches. 6) Management is only nice to you to get to apply, then that are rude and condescending towards you if you make a mistake because you couldn't remember the many rules stated in the leasing agreement. 7) If you live on the second or third floor, there is no elevator. So if you are elderly you may not want to rent these apartments. If you have kids, expect to carry LOADS of grocery bags up the stairs. 8) And if you do have groceries and prop the door open, residents and management complain that you prop the door open and will fine you for it. 9) The smell of weed in the parking lot behind building 3. 10) their appliances are cheap and break often. ...I mean the list goes on. What is nice about the apartments? They have a pool and nice fire pit. ((Not enough to keep me from leaving))

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU MOVE INTO BONTERRA… Do not get me wrong, this place looks great from the outside but there is so much wrong with this place behind the pretty look it has. For one, Bonterra will try and milk out every penny out of you while you stay. They will charge for your dog poop (which makes sense), they will charge you if you leave your building door open for too long (ridiculous if you are new and needing to constantly move stuff in & out, also ridiculous for when you have to bring groceries in and out), they will also charge and TOW your vehicle if you have a flat, any major exterior damages to your car, and even if your plates are expired (they are not the BMV but act like it). They also charge you every month for a trash service they offer, someone will come pick up your trash for you during the week Sun-Thur (which is cool) but they miss so many days to where their service guys do not come and they never acknowledge it and will still charge you for the service either way! They take advantage of their power over their residents. When it comes to appliances they provide they are HORRIBLE. Your dishwasher will rarely clean your dishes as you will have to run multiple dishes again. The dryer they provide is HORRIBLE as you will have to run it 2-3 times to dry your clothes or towels, this is a huge added expense on your electric each month. Have a problem with your place, expect to send in a few inquiries before they respond. They will always respond to reviews though saying to reach out and they will help just make themselves look good on google, which I’m sure they will do with this review. I have seen other posts of this, but your walls are extremely thin. You will hear and smell just about everything your neighbors are around you doing. Hallways will smell like weed especially on the weekends (not that I care but I know others do), funny because it’s a no smoking policy there. They also have the most expensive rates in the area. They will tell you “we offer competitive rates in our area!” but yet if you look all around the DuPont area they are priced the highest for the same size rooms by 10-20%. Rules constantly change throughout your stay and likely never in your benefit. Please check out other places in the area. Stay far away, it will save you a lot of money and stress listening to this review and I hope it helps others before they move in. I really wish I knew this all before coming.

The grounds and apartments themselves are beautiful and well-maintained. However, the walls in the buildings are VERY thin. I've lived in several complexes and have never heard this much noise (or smelled as many of my neighbor's meals) as I have in this apartment. I heard my neighbors' parties, barking dogs, music blaring, surround sound TVs, and even their phone calls plain as day on a regular basis. Additionally, I felt like the office staff did not really enforce the rules the same way for everyone. My neighbors regularly parked in the blue-lined handicap parking spots, were excessively loud at all hours of the night, left the front door (meant to be the security door) propped open, etc. and I had to call the office multiple times to complain before it was ever addressed... and it was still happening when I moved out. However, as I was in the process of moving, the complex attempted to charge me an extra $30 for leaving one broken-down box outside my door for a few hours. I just didn't see any sort of consistency in who they penalized for truly rude behaviors and who they did not. Finally, these are definitely some of the most expensive apartments on the north side of town. I understand that everyone has to raise their rent prices right now, but upon calling the office in January about how much I could expect my rent to increase this year, I was told that I was currently being undercharged for my unit and could expect my rent to go up AT LEAST $200 per month if I renewed my lease. That is an absolutely outrageous increase, and as such, it was actually cheaper for me to buy a house in this insane market than to continue renting at Bonterra. I'm now all moved in to my house, but I have to continue to pay my rent for an extra month and a half because the cost for breaking a lease with them is 3x your monthly rent. Again, an outrageous amount of money. Overall, while the apartment itself was nice, I had far more issues than I should have had for how expensive it was to live here. I will be turning in my keys today and not looking back.

Best place I have ever lived management excellent keeping up on the property and all the amenities . Excellent I love it I’ve been there three years. I always feel safe management is always there if I need help with anything or questions and maintenance is right there if you need something fixed . They keep it up very good and clean to on the outside it’s even to me rated higher than a 10 it’s perfect.

These apartments are wonderful! The location is great and the apartments themselves are incredibly well kept with modern design and appliances. The rent however I feel is slightly too high give the area it's located in.
