When I first read some past reviews, I was a bit skeptical...but I have been looking for a place for a while now and was starting to worry as my date I needed to move by was really coming up fast. I had drove out to the property and was looking at the rental flier when a resident of Bos Creek had approached me. We started to chat a bit and she had nothing to say but great things about the property and all its staff. So I reached out to the property manager and I am now living in a great apartment! Everything from me first viewing the apartment , all my questions, to the lease signing, and moving in, went so smoothly! A experience that normally can be very stressful, ended up being a pleasant/low stress experience. Two thumbs up to National Management Staff!
It looks decent, but don't be deceived. There seems to be a great deal of issues within management and the place itself still unresolved as witnessed from the previous reviews a year ago. They ignore any inquiries after repeated attempts to contact them through email or phone. Obviously nothing has changed and take this as a red flag unless you want to fall down a rabbit hole of unforeseen circumstances. Irony would be the only response I would've got would be the generic response they will have to this review.
Hello, I am a newer resident and I am very happy living here! The new staff is amazing and very helpful. My calls are returned and maintenance is very helpful. I would recommend this property to everyone, it is set back in the trees and it's like it's own little community back here. I have read some of the negative reviews and have to say that the new management team is great and I look forward to spending many years here.

I felt that I should post a review of my experience thus far. I have been a resident here for the past year or so. I've been debating on moving but only bc my job has an opportunity to relocate...there are many reasons why I am choosing TO STAY. I will also say that the company has gone through many changes in management but i feel they're just molding into the right team. Their customer service in the past two months has been amazing. I've received a call back with in a short time and my maintenance issues and rent questions were answered right away. I do recommend this place, especially to families. Its a great area and my kids also love it! You cant always believe what you read and you also need to consider that sometimes there has to be a happy medium. I did and I've been pleasantly surprised and happy considering the reviews i read before moving in.

The apartments themselves are nice but we have had nothing but problems since we moved in. Over the 2 years we lived here, they have gone through 3 different managers. We couldn't even move into our apartment the day we were supposed to because the carpets were still wet. We had horrible issues with our door sticking and got stuck inside or outside the apartment multiple times. When we sent our notice to vacate letter they apparently "lost it". Then our security deposit was late because they claimed we didn't give them a forwarding address (it was in the letter and verbally given over the phone). Furthermore, their security deposit for pets is ridiculous. We meticulously cleaned and still got charged for things that weren't broken. Multiple phone calls to corporate and it still took 4 days to get ahold of them. They had to refer the problem to their operations manager. It's been almost a month and we haven't heard back. Don't waste your time with these people. The phrase "professionally managed" is a joke. No communication and no care for their residents. I would give 0 stars if I could.
Aside from having an unreasonable required 2 months notice if you want to leave. We have had nothing but headaches and fustration with these people. We have been here 2 years and had 3 managers and still they can't get it together. They keep getting our rent due date wrong so we are constantly getting eviction notices. We received one for not paying security deposit.. that's strange because you can't move in unless you have paid up front. They lost one of my rent checks. Instead of admitting it or at the least let us send a new check they had the arrogance to charge us a late fee and I had to pay my bank to stop payment on the lost check. I'd say at least 10 eviction notices thus far. The last one was July 3rd, it stated we were late on payment?.. my due date is the third?..the incompetence here is ridiculous. I'm sick of fixing there mistakes. We don't feel safe here or wanted. We are not people, were capital to them. Like I stated earlier want to leave but difficult to do so with a required 2 month notice.
I am very disappointed with the management here. When I moved in, my apartment was not cleaned at all. I notified the landlord immediately and informed them there were bugs in my kitchen. They did not help with this issue, saying I brought the bugs in myself (which is impossible because I had not moved a single item into my place when I saw the bugs). They told me to contact the corporate office to discuss it further. I have called 3 times now and left messages and have not gotten anyone to call me back. Very frustrated and concerned for my health as I've heard other residents talk about problems with pests that are being ignored as well.
Our landlord, Julie, has been showing my apartment for the last few days without giving a notice of any kind. She walked in on me today saying she was showing the apartment again. I told her she has not given any notice to this point. She claims to have left them on the door one day, and on our table the next two days. We have received ZERO! This is unacceptable, and has been a common theme throughout our lease this past year. Many times management has claimed to have given notices to us and other residents but has not. I almost had my vehicle towed by their lack to give notice. This is the very reason we leaving this apartment, your lack of communication with us and outright lies to us. Will never lease from a national management apartment again and am warning as many people as possible. Management ignores written requests to fix things and won't answer calls. They're only diligent to get you signed to a lease then ignores you til you try to leave.
I spent 2 months interacting with Property Management staff and would like to Warn those interested in renting from this firm. Staff members from property managers to individuals in billing are rude, defensive, and demeaning. The regional manager for my district never returned one voice message I left her after leaving 5 over a 2 month period. My husband and I signed a lease 3 months prior to our move in date. A week after signing the lease our situation changed and were forced to move to a different state. I immediately contacted the property manager and apologized for the situation. I asked if they would be able to put our apartment back online which she agreed to do and I started trying to find someone to take over our lease. I understood we were responsible for the rent until it was filled and was courteous to staff when communicating. After this Property Management LLC went silent. I emailed, left voicemails and never received a call back for 3 weeks. I finally called the corporate office and began trying to whatever extension was offered on there recorded phone answering system. Gary in billing answered. He was also very short and defensive BUT got me answers that were not in his job discription to have to find for me. I explained my situation and my frustration and he listened and found the answers I needed. Within 5 mintues of talking to him, the property manager called me and was the kindest she had ever been to me and explained the radio silence by saying the cooperate office was extremely busy and did not have time to return any phone calls. I am relieved we are not renting from this corporation. We dodged a bullet here. I cannot imagine what it would've been like living in their apartment if we needed anything done.

I've lived at Bos Creek Apartments for almost two years now. They were great when BCII owned them-- very flexible, reasonable, and reliable staff. National Management LLC has recently taken over the property. Aside from the rent increase (which I will not get into), there have been rude letters on our door on a regular basis. Specifically, one letter regarding dog excrement on our door stated that if all the waste wasn't cleaned up within 48 hours (regardless of who it belongs to), ALL dogs on site would be removed. This was the FIRST and ONLY warning they sent to their tenants. I no longer feel comfortable living in an apartment complex that would threaten me and my family to give up our beloved pet even though we follow the rules. It's like living on pins and needles at Bos Creek. When will the next threat come? How long before they force us into moving? What ridiculous fee will be imposed next? Please look elsewhere if you want to live somewhere that you can feel comfortable with calling home.

I am sorry that you have misunderstood the intent of the notice given for residents to clean up the dog messes after the winter thaw. There were several areas at each of our properties where residents neglected to pick up after their dogs. We needed to let people know that this was a problem for people with dogs and those without. The letter stated that the dogs in the building would have to go if residents did not clean up, not the entire complex. We need to address these things as they happen as we had MANY complaints about the messes. We also have given notices over the past few months because there has been new staff that we feel the residents should know about. We also have a new computer system that will assist the residents in making service request in an easier fashion, they can also check their ledger and leases online. Again we need to get this type of information to all residents and the only way is to leave them a notice. We try to keep everyone up to date on any changes as they take place.
I don't live here. I would've loved to, but I could never get ahold of the landlord. I've sent emails, I've left phone calls, and when I made it to the top of the call list, I was called, and had a short, and very unhelpful conversation with "Josh." the manager. He told me about an opening, and I could move in immediately. After the call was over, I could not get in touch with him, and I lost my opportunity. It's been almost a month now, and I haven't heard from Bos creek. For being a "luxury apartment complex," they should have a more courteous staff. (I would've given zero stars if it was an option, as I have been helped about zero percent by the staff here.)
