Property Ratings at Boulder Creek Apartments
The manager and the staff of Boulder Creek have been exceptional. They have responded to all my requests with diligence and attentiveness. From Jeanette to Fatima, the Boulder Creek team has demonstrated that they genuinely care about their residents. Overall, they do a great job of maintaining the property. It is a great place to live and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new home.
I’ve lived at boulder creek for 3 years and I love it! The office and maintenance team are on top of everything and they are so kind! I feel like they really listen to what residents say and work to make living at the complex better and better. The dog park is wonderful and the complex is large with lots of grassy areas. There are a lot of families and young couples that live here. I will say, parking can be an issue and I found the need to rent a carport spot.
The units and pool are nice but don’t be fooled, living here is a nightmare. There’s hardly ever any parking at night. They tow residents and guests cars all the time. They have 8 over night parking spots for 700 residents, so do the math on that. On top of the rent being expensive they nickel and dime you for everything. There’s no storage closets inside or on the patio, if you want one you have to pay extra. You have to pay for a parking spot. If you want a covered one to guarantee you can get a spot, that’s even more (note the aforementioned lack of parking) so of course this is the safest bet. The speed bumps are horrendous, you can drive one mile per hour and still feel your car scraping over them. Maintenance comes in once a month to “check on something”. Just save your time and money and go ANYWHERE else.
This is one of the Worst Places I have ever Lived! Been here 6 Months and they still have not fixed anything we went over at time of signing the Lease! The parking is Horrible and they added a Huge speed bump at the entrance, Several residents have complained of needing alignments after going over the huge bump! There are no Stop or Yield signs in the complex so the College kids always speed through. Random Letters telling residents to watch their children and dogs and to pick up after them but why is their no letters for the beer bottles and used condoms in the pool areas, parking lots or dog park? They cut the grass and it gets all over your car and patio requiring you to clean it up. The Management takes no Responsibility over the towing He even send out letter stating is you have a flat you will be towed! I guess Ill drive my car with a flat to the nearest Authorized Mechanic and risk my life instead of waiting on it to be fixed by My roadside Assistance. They need to get rid of this horrible office staff. Also we are on water restriction in San Antonio why are they watering grass daily?
If I had a chance to give negative star rating I would do so. Management acts as if like they own the apartment and they more of like a dictators. The management was very much fine between 2013-2015 and it became horrible after that. You better forget your security deposit and get ready to pay for fraud charges by the management. I will not recommend apartment community to any one of my friends unless they stop being rude with residents.
Great place to live with friendly office staff and maintenance has been really good. They really take care of the property and the pools are beautiful.
I never moved in. I wish I had looked at Yelp before I did the application. I was told if I didn't sign a lease and changed my mind, I would lose the application fee of $150, but the deposit of $150 is refundable. Terry in the office and one other person said that was correct. The manager said no and refused to give me back the deposit. I'm glad I didn't sign a lease because the office staff is inconsistent in helpfulness and information. There are better places out there with nicer staff and consistent policies. It was a $300 lesson for me; learn from my mistake. Go elsewhere.
Boulder creek has really stepped up their service over the past two years. They are really trying to make this place better than ever before. Complex is large with two pools and big dog park. Living here was awesome and would recommend it to anyone, especially with a dog. Great price and will be moving into a place that is only getting better.
I have lived at Boulder Creek for going on 3 years now. At first when I moved in the management was very sincere and nice. They helped us with everything we ever needed, which wasn't much. Now the current management is unbearable. I switched apartments from a 2-bedroom to a 1-bedroom and I got stuck underneath someone with two rowdy dogs. These dogs were the result of neglectful owners who let them do their business on the balcony... mind you they are on the third floor and their excrement would fall down to our balcony and the balcony below. I have contacted the management multiple times and it wasn't until 3 months later that they agreed to move them to a different apartment. 3 months...... 3 months of the dogs barking day and night. Even when I would call to have them contact the owners, their only response was to call the police. Even though it was 3 months later, I was thrilled to hear that they would be moving to a different apartment. They guaranteed to have them out by the middle of November. I am writing this now on December 1st and they still have not moved out. On top of that, the neighbors do not care at all when their dogs are barking. We have been very civil and patient over the whole ordeal but when you're working 12 hour days and you go home and cannot even get a good nights rest because of unruly dogs, it becomes overly frustrating. No matter what amenities they might offer that make it a step above any other apartment complex, the management falls short to provide any adequate service to their residents. Also we have tried to contact Michelson Organization, the property owners of Boulder Creek, and they were less helpful than the management staff. They refuse to do anything and telling us to report to the management. A vicious circle where nothing gets done. They claim to have a courtesy officer but when we call, they tell us they don't have one and to call the police.
These apartments are one of the best gems in San Antonio. It has very good location that is within 5 minutes to a grocery store, nice restaurants, and a movie theater, and within 10 minutes to a top of the line mall and upscale living and dining. This makes it perfect for all family sizes to have fun in the better parts of San Antonio. This complex doesn't show signs of being old with updated appliances and a very nice facade. This complex has TWO pools which are very beautiful! One thing I noticed was that they power wash the whole complex keeping all breezeways and walkways very clean! Ive never seen this before! The office staff is friendly and nice with maintenence never disappointing me. This complex is a great choice if you want to live within your means while having a nice home.
Boulder Creek apartments are very cozy and surrounded by natural greenery. Occasionally, you can see natural wildlife (rabbits), hopping through the parking lot. Every unit comes with a washer and dryer. The customer service and maintenance is amazing, they respond quickly. I feel safe here, it's pretty quiet (even on weekends). I am overall very satisfied with this place!
I've lived at this complex for almost two years now, first in a one bedroom unit at the back of the complex, then moving into a two bedroom unit near the front. We can start with the common issues to both apartments, the water pressure. Intermittent water pressure issues are common theme all around the complex, with the showers and sinks performing something barely above a leaky super soaker whenever there is multi use throughout the building you live in, not very "luxurious." This also became more apparent when I moved into my two bedroom unit when my roommate and I could not use the showers at the same time without them failing. Emblematic of very sub-luxury level amenities that this apartment has made apparent during my stay here. The second issue is the general grounds keeping. The aesthetic is fairly nice, the function is not so much. The gate has spent more time open due to malfunction than it has functioning. The hot tub has quite literally NEVER worked while I've lived here, at the one frontal pool that features one. Let's move on to parking, it's an absolute joke. The complex does below nothing to enforce it's rule of 'no guests inside the gates after 10 pm.' The contracted tow company to handle this issue, and the more annoying fiasco of someone unrightfully parking in your paid for covered parking spot, is completely impotent. Not completely to their fault though, for over six months they have stated that management will not allow them to tow "at this time." Although when questioned, management gives a dull shrug and a bewildered look. I personally have had to call them to handle someone parking in my spot six times since I've lived here, and they have only showed up once to handle it, the other five times leaving me to park outside the gate in the guest parking and walk all the way to the back of the complex to my unit. The final issue I have with the complex is how they handled my leaking roof. It took the apartment complex TWO WEEKS to get a contractor out to fix the issue. After that there were several episodes of busted light bulbs along the track lighting in the unit, with 2-4 bulbs popping at once, no doubt an electrical issue in the ballast from the water damage. But the management insisted that the resident is responsible for replacing the bulbs in the entire unit due to "normal" wear & tear, to the tune of $14 per bulb. I replaced 9 bulbs in two weeks time, there are 7 in the apartment...
Hello fellow renters, Boulder Creek Apartments are descent as far as looks,but certainly not for the value of your hard earned mula. At first my wife and i I loved them, but the we had issues with management not processing our monthly payment, even though we authorized auto-payment. Unfortunately, because of this issue which happened several times, we are finally ending our contract. Also, management went through 3 employees and they still aren't comprehensive toward us, or the apartment issues ie: washer keeps leaking even though maintance said they fixed it twice, still leaks. Notice to future renters make sure you get everything they say in writing and really make sure your hard earned money is worth giving out.. good luck in your search hope this helps
The floor plans are ideal and modern. The appliances, lighting and patios are excellent. Parking is a nightmare, not enforced which makes weekends unenjoyable. Punks regularly check for unlocked vehicles and take valuables, two incidents outside my building in 18 months. The gates are frequently broken and repair times take months, not a secure campus at night usually. High turnover in the front office smacks of bad management.
I have lived at the Boulder Creek Apartments for almost 4 years. It has been a great complex to live at. The management and staff are wonderful and they are quick to answer any questions, concerns, and service requests. I love that they are so dog friendly too. I would highly recommend this complex.
Management of a property is a big deal! This property couldn't have been in a better location! Convenient to everything, I can't complain one bit about that. But when it comes to them putting out information to their tenants, they fail to call back. When they issue out something on tenants' doors they fail to spell check and make sure the dates and day are correct. Just simple errors that showed me where they were at. I've been moved out for two and a half months and still haven't received my deposit back! I have called over a dozen times about this issue. Told them I have not received the check and to cancel and reissue it over a month ago! I will not rent from this management group ever again regardless how nice the place is!!
I'll start by saying the value isn't bad. The apartments are in good shape and the maintenance guys are friendly and respectful. Beware, you are dealing with a corporate Landlord that attempts to sneak LL-friendly terms into the lease (READ your lease before signing). Conditional discounts are taken away if you pay on the 2nd instead of the 1st, leases rolling over after the move-out month, and a staff of bros that can't competently explain things so they resort to pretending they're on the phone when you try to have questions answered. I am venkat and we recently moved from Boston to San Antonio. This is the best apartments in the area. We looked at almost 15 apartment communities in this area before settling on this. Secured. Helping staff. Close to I10. Close to Walmart, Target, HEB, Regal cinemas, schools, restaurants, six flags, sea world..etc Great community.
Recently friends of mines management changed at their complex and it became glaringly obvious that I picked a winner when I choose where to live. First major Kudos to the maintenance staff. When I put in a maintenance request, not only is it taken care of that day or the next day but the job is always done 100% and my apt is left like nothing ever happened. Many times I have walked back into my apartment while living elsewhere after a maintenance request to a total mess, furniture moved and so on. The leasing office is also fantastic! Gym is small, but has everything you need. But the real gem is the pools. 2 pools and the lower one is great, quite and the place to be on the weekends if you want a relaxing day in the water to escape the heat. The apartments are also great, ADT systems, new cabinets and everything. If you can afford it, stop looking and move here!!
