Property Ratings at Boulder Creek
The front office NEVER answers the phone! It’ll just ring & ring but when you go into the office, they’re just sitting there. Our A/C has been out for almost a week now. I can never get anyone on the phone, have gone to the office multiple times but they never have an update. Apparently there’s only ONE person who works on the A/C units for ALL of their properties. Just ridiculous. It’s super hot outside & I have a dog. I’ve had to put him in daycare for almost a week because he cannot stay in this hot apartment all day. Where’s the urgency?! Why not contract another person to fix the A/C?! It’s so hot outside!! Literally our apartment is ranging from 82-87 degrees every day!! They’re going up almost $200 on rent & expect me to pay it but don’t give quality service?! They’re crazy. DO NOT MOVE HERE! You’ll regret it! Grounds are always dirty, trash in walk ways, maintenance never answers!

Due to uncontrollable water not being addressed Yesterday after numbers of calling again last night. I woke up to a floor full of water. Water in breaker box. I'm sick of the lies.

Been here 5 years and went through several different managements. Everything was fine the first 2 years but started going downhill once original management was replaced. Reported damage to bathroom ceiling via work order since 01/25/22 and has contacted office in person and try to get in contact by phone with no resolution. Even went as far as giving a letter about dissatisfaction and still have not been addressed. If you ever consider moving here please make it a last resort.
I moved into this apartment Dec of 2020 & honestly I can say that the apartment isn’t bad. No break ins, no shootings, and the neighborhood is pretty quiet… the only issue I have had is that my ceiling is pretty much collapsing from a leak that the tenants above me caused in August. Well it’s Oct and that simple leak has turned my ceiling into a mold and mildew fiasco… I have called the office several times (with no answer half the time), spoke with maintenance several times, and yet my ceiling still has NOT been fixed.

Terrible communication, bugs, apartment not ready for move-in, no sense or urgency or care from staff. Only nice person I have met was the maintenance supervisor.

I’ve lived here for almost a year now and where can I even begin! First of all the ones bedroom apartments are too small for the amount of money being paid! We’ve changed management three times since I’ve been here and let me say that the management has gotten nastier & nastier each time! My air has been out since January then when I called about it I was told it was never even reported until April, it is now July and my air still isn’t fixed! The office staff doesn’t answer the phones nor do they call or email you back! JUST DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME BECAUSE IT IS NOT WORTH IT! This had to be the worst apartment experience ever!

Maintenance problems along with unconcerned, uncooperative and non professional office staff make this an unacceptable place to live.. pray you never have maintenance issues or need to interact with new office management period.

Hello. Although we appreciate all feedback, we are very concerned about yours. We care deeply about our residents and are saddened you feel otherwise. We wish you the best and hope your opinion of us improves.
I’ve lived here with my fiancé for the past year and let me tell you this place is just terrible. Management is rude and the maintenance upkeep is extremely poor. We’ve had the same issues since we moved in and have yet to have someone here to fix any of them. The trash dump is an absolute eyesore with raccoons being the happiest tenants here and parking close to your apt is near to impossible. Do yourself a favor and look anywhere else because trust me this ain’t it.
When I first moved to the apartment complex, management was awesome! Every since they’ve changed management, everything started going downhill. The front office don’t answer your calls, you leave voicemails, they don’t respond back. Forget about maintenance, instead of correcting the problem correctly, the first time, they will take the cheapest way out, which causes more problems! I am not waiting for my lease is up to move, I just can’t deal with it any longer!
I gave this place the benefit of the doubt and signed with my roommate last June. Ever since we’ve moved in I’ve regretting signing here. It doesn’t matter what kind of problem you have within the apartment, they won’t email you back about it nor will they even address it at all. They don’t answer the phone until you’ve called about 5 times. It’s really frustrating. The front office crew are far from professional and are so rude all I can do is just laugh about it at this point. Nothing about this place is quiet, or peaceful - my neighbors above me stomp and yell all day I’m not sure if they’re psychologically okay but that’s not the point. This has been the worst apartment experience I have ever had and to be honest I don’t think I’ll ever live in an apartment again after this. If you come at the office with any kind of problem they immediately get defensive and snap at you and get really nasty. It’s concerning. I pray for them. I’m not even religious. Don’t sign here you will regret it. Unless you want an extremely sub par place to live.
I’ve been living here since September of 2019 so I’m fairly new, however this complex and Amber have been so nice and helpful since I came in just to view. Amber did everything in her power to help me and my husband when we were looking. Even after moving in she still checks on us every time I see her, and is so nice.! This complex is very clean and my neighbors are super nice. Love it.! Won’t be moving no time soon.!
I’ve lived here for 2 years. The management wasn’t bad until the second year. The receptionist is so loud, nasty and rude. They do not handle business correctly at all. And the website to make the payments is horrible. I have spent a lot of money on “late fees” because even though I had a receipt showing that I made the payment, it didn’t go through. Also it got to the point that I didn’t even notified that I “didn’t pay” but they expected me to pay not only the late fee but the fee for the evictions I didn’t even know I was up against. I’ve gotten my car broken into multiple times. I have had packages stolen from my door step because they don’t take packages from specific mail carriers. This apartment complex is not someplace I would recommend at all. Not one bit.
If you are looking for subpar living conditions this is the place for you. In the time I resided there management changed and all went downhill . Everything falls apart so quick and forget about it being quiet . It doesn't exist! Poor manager as you make complaints and nothing to gets done they sweep it right under the rug and makes for bigger problems. They need new people in the office that actually care . They are rude . I would have recommended as a place to call home but not anymore . Poor grounds, dirty , and bad apartments stay away !
This is not a place to live if you have children. Your place will always smell like weed from your neighbors. And the lease office will not response to your complaints. It is very noisy and and you will find strange people lingering around your building. The office issued parking stickers but there are people still parking in your spaces instead of the visitors parking. Leaving you will no parking close to your building. The office answered maintenance issues fairly fast sometimes but not for things that is very important and serious that can jeopardize someone’s security. This is my experiences living here, but I have bumped into other tenants that have the same issues from other buildings.
Ever since I moved out of my mother's house, I've been living in this apartment complex. Kentish is my leasing agent and she has taken care of me since I was 21. I am now 25 and consider her a good friend. I am very particular on where I stay and where my son lays his head. I love love love this complex. I never had any problems with my neighbors and the neighborhood is well kept. The apartments are very nice. I lived in a 1,2, and 3 bedroom apartment here. Just kept upgrading. My favorite is the hardwood floor with the black appliances. They have a beautiful scenery setup in the pool area and a beautiful workout out room. This is definitely my first and last apartment complex. I am in the process of building my dream home. If you are looking for a safe, nicely renovated, quiet complex to live in, definitely try here. I would say ask for Kentish, but shes the manager now and I am not sure if she still accepts tenant or not. The entire staff is amazing. From the front office all the way to the maintenance guys. Everyone is so friendly and always speak when they see you...its like they like their jobs :)

Thank you for choosing The Park at Boulder Creek and Thank you for the wonderful years your have been with us.
Very unprofessional Jason is rude to his customers
I lived here almost a year and it's a great place to call home. The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs; and are quick to attend to any problems that arise. The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. Great space for students who's going to college and also for a family. Neighbors are nice and helpful. If someone ask for a great place to live I would definitely recommend Park at Boulder Creek
Will try to squeeze every dollar out of you. Unnecessary charges. Wouldn't recommend staying here. Will move you out of molded apartment then move somebody else right back in the same apartment knowing it has problems.
To start off, on my move in day, I was told I might not be able to move in until the next day. This was extremely frustrating because I drove from Charleston to Columbia ready to unpack. It took a few hours and them receiving a very unpleasant phone call from my mother for them to get me my keys. While living there I had an ok experience. The appliances were rather outdated amongst other things, but you get what you pay for. My car was also broken in to while staying there, but there aren't any cameras on site, so there wasn't much the staff could do to help. After move out is when I really had issues with this apartment complex. I did my move out walk on the 30th of the month like I had scheduled. When I went into the office after hours of moving things back and forth from Columbia to Charleston, I arrived on time for my appointment but the person I had it scheduled with was not even there. I'd say a month after I moved out I received a letter from a collection agency saying I owed them a balance. They charged me for living there on the 1st of July when I clearly turned in all keys on the 30th of June. They also charged me for stains on the carpet, despite my move in sheet clearly stating the carpet was in bad condition already. When I inquired about them sending it to the collection agency instead of sending me a bill, they said they did not have my updated address. This was clearly a lie, because on my move out notice I put my new address in the appropriate section clear as day. I was told there was nothing I could work out with them since they already forwarded my account. When I asked for verification, all they could provide was a bill and instead of sending the collection company my full lease with my move in and move out sheet, they only sent a few pages. I am extremely upset and will make sure everyone knows of my experience with these very unprofessional and unorganized people.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! I've lived out here for more than 3 yrs and the previous management company was a whole lot better and respectful to me as a tenant. The new management employees in the office are DISRESPECTFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL, and never know what is going on nor follow up with maintenance requests or renovations to the apartments. They do not check behind their contractors and maintenance guys, they do not return calls, they take a month to fulfill maintenance requests, their pest does NOT spray your entire apt, they treat long term residents bad by not advising any changes to contracts, they are unorganized and again EXTREMELY RUDE. I again never experienced such terrible service from the previous management company and for what I'm paying in rent you would think they would not allow their residents to live with BUGS and do nothing about it bc again their Pest control does not spray the apts. The apts are nice yeah but the issues and treatment received are not worth it and I would NEVER recommend anyone to live out there.
I contacted the emergency number at 5:15 p.m on June 25. And received an acknowledgment of the emergency by 6:15pm. It even included the name of the tech. The tech came out and noticed the apartment was very warm. But I was told that the reason the apartment was a blistering 85 deg F was due to a South Carolina heat wave. The tech left at 8:02 p.m., having not resolved the issue. And explained it would be addressed on June 27th 2016. I documented at 8:22 p.m via text message with the emergency app That the tech was told by management the HVAC would not be replaced. Over that same period the tech passed away and no one worked on the unit. The unit had been leaking massive amounts of water downstairs to our neighbors who had to move out. To my knowledge the mold was never addressed, since the leak was never fixed. Another emergency call was made on July 4th 2016 at 9:00 p.m. The system responded with acknowledgement at 10:00 p.m. The tech never arrived on the scene. A subsequent call was made at 12:00 a.m. And the tech did not arrive, at which point I documented at 12:41 a.m. that no one had arrived and the apartment was above 90 deg. F. The tech finally arrived at 6:00 p.m. On July 6th with a One AC window unit for the entire 3 bedroom apartment. I explained to the tech that something needed to be done. At the time my wife had been suffering from Heat Exhaustion and we elected to stay in a hotel. I provided objective evidence via text messages from the RealSource Management's emergency response program. That clearly listed report times and response times. Yet they claimed they resolved the issue 24hrs after I identified it. I then called and called to get the RealSource Regional Manager to email me or call me. I ended up facilitating the email request myself through the corporate branch, the apartment did nothing to get this communication to my knowledge. Because the corporate branch was not even made aware of the issues.
I love the space in the apartment. I have an 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom. I love my walk in closet as well as having my own bathroom right in my room the laundry room is just as spacious. One thing that my kids love is the patio area. When it rains they can go on the patio and play. I have been living at the Bentley at Broad River for about 8 years.
The apt wasn't moved in ready. Had clean floors. Remove painting tape. Carpet need replaced. Nails and dead Crawling insects had to be removed from the floor. Crawling insects coming in the apt. No closet door. Bath Room shower leaks continuously. Patches in the carpet.
