In the center of Atlanta’s West Midtown district is one of its oldest neighborhoods, Home Park. The area borders Georgia Tech’s campus and Atlantic Station, injecting it with an energetic feel and making it perfect for students looking to live off-campus but still be close to classes.
Some of Atlanta’s most popular restaurants lie on the western edge of Home Park. The Optimist and Barcelona Wine Bar both churn out fantastic fare, but there are affordable eateries scattered around the area too.
Home Park’s rental scene includes historic homes and new apartment complexes, so there’s something for every budget and style. It’s also a convenient location for accessing the rest of Atlanta, with the nearby I-85 and 14th St. NW ferrying you across the city.

Property Ratings at Bower Westside
Have not had hot water in two weeks. Multiple work orders I have put in over months ago have not been addressed. They replaced my water heater for no reason with no explanation and now I’ve been showering with cold water for two weeks. When I ask them why they say I’m being confrontational like I have no right to know why I’ve been inconvenienced for two weeks. Very dehumanizing as I pay my rent here and should not have to be forced to take cold showers in this weather. I had a leak in my apartment for over four months that they refused to fix until the person below me walls turned black from the leakage. I have lived here a long time and told them multiple times that if they don’t fix it it will begin to leak into the apartment below me. The sink is always falling and all they do is super glue it up. When they finally decided to fix the leak they sent some strange man to my apartment not in uniform that was banging on my door kept trying to force his way in and would not respond to me when I asked him who he was. Then said I violated my lease for not letting a stranger in I’ve never seen before. Over a leak I’ve been begging them to address for months. The list goes on.

I have stayed here for 1.5 years. The management isn't that responsive to your concerns. There are some guys staying in the apartment below mine, who are a complete nuisance. I need to put up complaints about their noise every week and yet there is not much of an action taken. They are terrible neighbors and the management is even more terrible. The property is good otherwise, prime location and reasonable rent.

Please reach out to us at ResidentServices@ARIUMLiving. com so we may work to improve your stay right away.
I've been living at Arium Westside (previously Tenside) for over two years. With the new management, they've been doing a lot of renovation (pool, gym, cafe etc). They repainted the exterior of the apartment and during the process, painters oversprayed my car. When I spoke with the property manager, she told me that apartment has no responsibility and I have to work directly with the painting company (Better Renovation Inc, I think). The supervisor of that company, Corey, told me to submit a receipt and I've submitted the receipt to clean off overspray and it's been over a month and half and I'm still waiting for the reimbursement. I tried to escalate through Arium numerous times and although she did attempted to call the painting company, the problem still hasn't been resolved yet and I'm disappointed that they are not taking any responsibility even though Arium hired those painters. I've wasted enough of my time already so I'm going to give up and take the loss ($200). So if you are looking for an apartment, stay away because I don't think they really care about you once you sign the lease. I'll warn any of my coworkers or any friends at Tech looking for an apartment going forward.
Pros: The staff is friendly and helpful. The clubhouse is always clean and serves as a great place to hang out with friends. The pool is really great for cookouts and parties during the summer. The Business center is very convienent to get some work. Apartments are very spacious. Cons: Having to pay $25 for garbage pick up just to occasionally find a pile of trash right next to the gate leading to your apartment. The hallways ought to be cleaned at least every couple of days. Sometimes its embarrassing to bring friends over because of how dirty the place looks. The new management seem to be trying to improve the place so there's that.
I moved into this apartment after college and have been pleasantly surprised so far. I share a one bedroom apartment with my boyfriend and it's been going well: the living room is a good size for people who don't have many friends to cram in it at once, the bedroom is large enough for a few bookshelves/nightstands and a queen size bed, the closet has enough room for two entire closets of clothes, the bathroom is neat and clean, the pantry is actually pretty large, and the kitchen is large enough for two people to cook without burning each other with hot pans. Because we share the one bedroom, I think the price is reasonable, but I'm sure you could find something cheaper if you go a little bit outside the city. I have only seen a few bugs in the apartment (I was worried about this because I moved from a basement in Michigan) but nothing like what I used to have in my old apartment. Plus you can request pest control any time you want - your rent already includes the cost, so why not use it? I also think that the parking situation is ideal: I never have to park far from the gate and always feel safer having to key-card through two separate gates before getting to my front door. Negatives: the corridors are open-air and a little dingy: they might just be going for a modern, industrial style, but going through the hallways (especially in the summer at night, when the moths come out in force) is always my least favorite part of living here. Also, you have to go over a ton of oddly-high speed bumps on your way in through the parking garage and that definitely gets old fast when you have to drive up and down at least once per day. The apartment itself is also on a super busy street, and there is lots of angry honking, police sirens, construction, people shouting and other disturbances pretty much 24/7. Location/building aside, the staff is also slow to respond to emails, if they do at all. They're nice enough when you go in for help, but it's hard to contact them online.
I have been living here for about 4 months now. So far, I like living here. The room is pretty new and clean. I also like the kitchen and balcony. The price is pretty reasonable considering it's at downtown area.
Absolute WORST rental service I've ever experienced- and I've lived in 7 separate apartment buildings while in college/ grad school. The staff at the leasing office are unresponsive, rude, and quite frankly push legal limits. When considering whether I would stay at Tenside for another year, a leasing agent told me he, "didn't really have to sell whether this apartment would be rented or not. So many people are looking for apartments here, if you don't rent it someone else will within a week's time." Flash-forward to two months later, when they were still trying to get me to renew a lease with them. What a save on my part! Upon move-out, the staff failed to contact me about any damage fees within the allotted 30 day period. On the 31st day they contacted my former roommate (never contacted me directly) claiming they had sent notices to our new addresses, yet did not send the mail through certified mail so they had no proof the notices were ever actually sent. They failed to try and contact me through email or phone, though they have all of my contact information. When I called to inquire why I was not A. contacted directly, B. contacted within 30 days all I received was snarky responses: Do you have any actual questions? The staff is very cordial at first, but nice manners do not ever make up for inadequacy at your job. That is the nicest way I can put it, the staff there is nice but inadequate at best. Rude, combative, and incompetent at worst.
I love my luxury apartment at 10 side. In Atlanta Ga
General information: I and my girlfriend have been living in the apartment for 2 months now. Staff: the staff here has been up front about any issues and has provided extremely courteous service. I expected a change once we moved in and signed the lease but the service has been exquisite. Facility: the facility is wonderful. The pool is relaxing and noise level is quite. The workout room is the largest and most complete out of all the apartments we looked at around ga tech. Is is also the most secure. All parking from the fourth floor up is gated. All exterior elevators require key for to get higher than level 2. All hallways, exterior doors, and the have magnetic locks that require keyfob. Location: I walk to all my class and am 2 block from the ga tech red route bus so my girlfriend is the only one who needs the car. The is the everytype of fast food I can think of within 5 minutes. Also there is Atlantic station and a Walmart within the same distance. Price: when pricing it came ou to be about a hundred dollars more per month than other apartments in the area but I was willing to pay the extra to be on the safe side of tech and have all of the things mentioned above.
I lived at Tenside as a Georgia Tech student from 2013-2015. After living in the dorms for 3 years, it was an amazing break from campus. The management and maintenance teams were friendly and accommodating. I could always count on my maintenance requests to be filled within the next business day (most of my requests were to change the water filter or a light bulb). The units are clean and the facility is safe (minus the occasional car break in, but it is downtown Atlanta), but I never had to fear someone breaking into my apartment like I saw often in on-campus housing. The only issue we had the whole time was there was a change in parking rules a few months before we were to move out. However, the management really listened to our complaints and ideas to make changes that worked for everyone. Great workout facility, great community, and walkable to my favorite restaurant (Pijiu Belly!).
I have to give a huge shoutout to Tenside Apartments in West Midtown Atlanta. Tenside has been the most wonderful place I've lived since moving to Atlanta. The 24 hour security makes me feel safe walking my dog at all hours, which is HUGE for me. And in addition to great security, instead of your typical thin-walled apartments drenched in beige paint, Tenside has sophisticated, modern amenities that truly make you feel at home. However, the rent is pretty steep for me as a 20-something graphic designer. I chose a place a little over my budget because to me as a single small female, safety and peace of mind while I sleep is more important than having more spending money. However, I would be eternally grateful to have some extra money to FINALLY fly home and see my family in the Midwest that I haven't been able to see in over two years due to my tight budget - Man, I miss them terribly. Tenside is rockin' it and I'd love to continue being a resident there as long as I live in the A!
Tenside Apartments in West ATL are dope. They're not your typical boring units - they have character and class. They're unique and they feel like a HOME instead of just a dull apartment. The roommate layout, which I currently have, is great and provides us our own privacy and space. Another great thing about this apartment is the security. They have security at all hours of the day and they actually care and recognize the residents which I think says a lot about a security team. The management is also wonderful as well. They are accommodating and easy to talk to - they also have a giant candy bowl in the leasing office which was a huge plus when I came to check the place out for the first time ;) Overall this apartment is the best I've ever lived in and I can't see myself living anywhere else while I live in Atlanta. Apartment itself is great, location is super, and the residents are all nice people - it's a community that I wouldn't trade anything for.
