Property Ratings at Brackenbrook Apartments
Half of the flood lights are out. There is only one camera pointed at the pool. There are people parking and hanging out in there car who don’t live there as well as people from surrounding complex’s throwing there trash and door and window checking, personal caught someone trying to check my car door he ran off into the woods and the police couldn’t help. Looking for peace of mind for your family and kids being here look elsewhere not planning on renewing our lease

I honestly wish I could give them no stars and I have only been living here for 1 week. Upon moving in, my outlet covers had not been placed on and I walked into all of them being placed on the window sill, the toilet was also running, which was a constant noise, all of which these things could have been noticed with a simple walk through. Then on my week of living there I was awakened by a loud pop which was a bullet coming through my window (on the second floor), traveling through my walls and through my apartment walls Into the next tenants apt where it stopped in their laundry room. I called the front office to see if they could rectify the situation because it is very scary to know a bullet could have hit me in my head, they offered to move to floor level (which to me is still not safe if shots are being fired at eye level), I stated I would stay there if they could work with me on next months rent because of course it is an inconvenience to move after only one week being in place. The corporate office declined to take anything off of my rent. I asked due to me not feeling safe if they could cancel my lease and they stated the breaking the lease policy to me. I have no idea what to do in this situation other than stay for the year and find another place once my lease is up. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
My husband and I have been here a few months now. The pool is nice, there's a tennis court (I've never seen anyone actually use it) and a fitness room (doesn't have weights and is small but it works well!). We feel very safe here and our neighbors are very nice, haven't met one rude person yet. When you're in the living room, be prepared to hear anything that's going on in the hallway. There are a bunch of kids that play around when they're not in school, but they're respectful and sweet. The only problem we have is light. There are not many windows. The bedrooms and living room do not have light fixtures or fans. We have lamps everywhere and open our blinds as much as possible. Everything was just renovated (the kitchen floor is beautiful!) but keep in mind the buildings themselves are pretty old. The staff are very helpful and maintenance comes within a week of requests. We hope to stay here a couple years!
If you're looking for something reasonably priced with exactly what you need and no more, Brackenbrook is for you. It is close to 526 so you can hop on the interstate and get wherever you need to go quickly. It is also near the airport and Tanger Outlets. The kitchens have been recently renovated and I'm told new windows will be put in soon. The bathrooms are very small and the tub sectional in my apartment needs to be replaced along with the toilet. The windows are small. There aren't any balconies or patios. There is a small pool and a small workout room along with a tennis court. It is a truly no frills apartment but it does give you exactly what is necessary and for a decent price.
