Property Ratings at The Grove Brentwood
I’ve been living at The Grove for several months, and it has been an incredibly frustrating experience. Management is completely unresponsive ( COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE )— they never answer the phone or reply to emails. They often claim they’re busy with customers, but the office is usually empty whenever I stop by. The only way to get any answers is to physically track someone down. During my first month and a half, I had no hot water at all, and it took them ages to get it resolved. Since then, they have repeatedly added hidden or questionable fees to my account. I have reached out for over two months to dispute these charges with no response. Now, they’ve raised my rent ( NOT IN LEASE AGREEMENT ) and are trying to bill me for electricity, even though I pay NES directly and have proof of payment. Residents deserve a management team that is accountable and responsive ( UNFORTUNATELY THEY NEED A WHOLE NEW TEAM ). I hope posting this will finally get their attention… I doubt it though — but until they address these issues, I cannot recommend The Grove Apartments.

Apartment unit is nice, had to get some plumbing issues resolved upon move in but other than that it was what I expected. The carpet is new and fresh, and the airflow is great.

If they really care so much like they say they do then they should reach out to me since there isn’t enough room to fill a whole book about the nightmare this place has been. It’s really unfortunate too because they talk a lot of game about all the improvements they’re doing to the place but over and over they keep being dishonest, perform illegal/unethical business practices, and have nonexistent customer service. I’m done trying to reason with these people so if one of the managers is reading this then I would challenge them to reach out to me personally if they TRULY care and TRULY wish to resolve all of the issues that I’ve had in my 2 year stay here so far. But as far as my experience has been, these people only care about one thing: money. And they’ll do everything in their power to get it without giving back the slightest morsel of effort to make this place liveable. But I’m still open minded. If they make an effort to change things then the next review will be very different.

It seemed like a great deal for the location but have had nothing but issues. I've had a leak in both bathrooms coming from upstairs and a leak in my kitchen coming through the kitchen light. One of the leaks in the bathroom flooded the apartment. Called emergency maintenance and it took 3 days for them to show up. The other bathroom they left a hole in the ceiling for a month and a half. Then leak happened again in same bathroom and I still have a huge hole waiting for it to be fixed for 2 months. Had to install my own closet doors when I moved in. One of which is too big and they were supposed to order a new one. I'm almost to the end of my lease. Still waiting. I didn't have a fridge for three weeks when I move in that was supposed to be here the next day. The dishwasher was broken and took 5 months to get a new one that doesn't actually clean my dishes so still have to wash by hand. There was another leak that flooded the entire lower level. My biggest issue is the tow company they use for the property. Both of my cars have been towed. No notice even though both vehicles were registered with the apartment complex. It seems like the apartment complex gets kickbacks from them. Tried to fight the tow company and and was threatened with eviction and told they would tow my car anytime they wanted and there is nothing I can do about it but pay. Told me it was an abandoned vehicle and they had every right to tow. I parked the vehicle at 10pm and went to take my kids to school at 7am and it was gone. There is a large Mexican population is this complex they take advantage of here. I couldn't fight the tow company so I know they can't. Even called the police and was told it is a civil matter and would have to spend thousands on an attorney. I really could keep going on with so much more. Spend the extra money. Live somewhere else

The renewal party and meeting the new staff was really nice and pleasant. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful. It was nice to actually talk to the staff members and tell them about some of my experiences since I moved in.

Y’all really wanted my review?? It’s beyond terrible. 9 flooding incidents, lies from previous managers, was supposed to move into a new unit but that’s not happening, ceiling flood damage from incidents, lack of empathy or care from current managers (I did get some $$$ off of 1 months rent woohoo *sarcasm* after thousands in damage from last flooding and lost of pictures and many things that can’t be replaced), facilities are a joke, they want you to post good reviews but honestly I can’t. I look forward to saving and moving somewhere else. Have tried contacting the actual ownership and provide pictures/videos of everything that’s happened but no response so I’ll just send to media and local news stations. Don’t move here. Just don’t. I was told that “it’s why you get rent insurance” after the flooding that was caused by maintenance/ contractor hooked up his machine to a broken water system outside flooded my apartment. They honestly don’t care and feel as though they never will.

I like the apartment I live in a the apartment complex. I love seeing the ducks that are the water fountain. The swimming pool when it’s open. You can feel safe walking around. Everyone stays to them self.

It’s a nice neighborhood, most people stay to themselves. I do love that the geese patrol the area in warm months. Tho i wish they would replace the washer and dryers that they removed from each apartment block and had a dog park. The maintenance is a bit lackluster

I believe this is a fairly decent community. I’ve read other reviews that say that the community was kind of rundown, but it’s no different than any other apartment complex. The apartments are a nice size. Maintenance could be a little better in terms of replacing things, but the maintenance staff is awesome. They get on top of things the best they can and try to get things in work in order just like anywhere they can’t jump everywhere at one time but they do the best they can.

Place is trashed. Loud inconsiderate neighbors. Grown men urinate in the parking lot while they use it for their own personal bar leaving whole cases of beer cans laying around. Avoid this place it's not worth it.

It's been ok for the most part, I just wish there was less trash on the ground, specifically glass. I feel like spreading out more garbage cans around the property (and emptying them weekly) would alleviate this greatly.

When I first moved in, I was put in an apartment that was not ready to be occupied. There were rats in the walls before I moved in and the kitchen flooded 2 weeks after I moved in. I had a huge hole in my kitchen wall for almost 2 months and the dishwasher didn’t work. I also dealt with the rats when they were coming out from under the dishwasher because it didn’t have a bottom face plate. The pest control company came in and saw what I was dealing with and said that I should never have been put in that apartment. I called management and maintenance several times with no response or return phone calls. I was finally put in another apartment in building 100 and couldn’t find anybody to help move out my heavy stuff… I went to check on it and it was gone! My heavy stuff had been thrown away and no one knew about it and the contracted people who remodeled the apartment said they were given the green light to go in and redo the apartment. So I lost all my heavy stuff!! Not Happy!!

Hate it here. Maintenance won’t fix ANYTHING. My apartment was not properly cleaned before my move-in, lots of items were left by the previous tenants and not removed. Didn’t provide lease renewal info until 2 weeks before my lease was up (called and emailed probably 10 times in the weeks leading up to it and was told i would “receive it soon” every time).

Overall very poor. Apartment is not in good shape, hallway and grounds not kept clean, noisy neighbors with little care for families. Any attempt to rectify these issues with the office have been without results. Recent management change, I am hopeful for things to change but I am not seeing action yet.

It’s a nice place to live in reasonably affordable. It has a pool has Geese and the fountain. It’s relatively quiet. The people in the office are really nice as well.

Takes a long time to get stuff done and still to this day have not received mailbox key so no mail for 3 months and counting. There is always trash alot of places but they do try to get it up.

The neighborhood itself is pleasant and usually quiet even on the weekends. The people are friendly and stay to themselves. However, upon move in, it was extremely difficult to get my ac fixed (was told upon signing lease the apartment was move in ready) It was eventually fixed and shortly after “The Grove” took ownership. Since then, I have seen more improvements being done within the community and seems to be at a more urgent rate.

I went for a tour because of information I saw here and unfortunately left without even hearing the pricing because of the bold lie that was told to me. Online it states that the 1 bed/1 bath have washer/dryer hookups. In person they told me there are no 1 bed/1 baths that have washer/dryer hookups. Don't be fooled like me

Do not live here I’ve only been here for 4 yes FOUR DAYS AND MY APARTMENT WAS INFESTED WITH BEDBUGS!! The property didn’t care and tried to make it seem like I brought them and they refused to cover any damage done to my personal belongings because of THEIR INFESTATION. I moved to Nashville a year ago and thought we had found the perfect place because they were apart of the apartment community we live in back in Cali. Well they didn’t treat us like family and we were desperately looking for a place to call home. Then by Gods good grace we found Bradford Woods. The ladies in the front office are absolutely AMAZING! They greet you with a smile and make you feel like you are family. Many of the residents have lived here for many years because of the amazing staff and the efficient custodial staff. I love living at Bradford Woods, living here has made the transition from California to Nashville a better experience. Thank you to Cheryl, Amy and the Bradford Woods staff for making living in Nashville a better experience. :)
I enjoy living hear for the most part. It is very lively with a lot of work class family's. Also, the staff is very nice and approachable. The features are a bit out of date, but they are renovating between leases. The maintenance can be slow but they get the job done. Good value for the area too.
This is by far the worst complex I have ever lived. They do no keep up with their apartments. Three weeks ago my apartment got flooded by a old water heater. Took them 3 days to come and they ripped up the carpet and said they would be back after the weekend to replace it. Now three weeks later im still with out carpet. Also the laundry area in my apartments floor completely fell in due to water damage. They put up a orange cone to mark the danger and left it for three weeks also. Lots of other small problems like abandon cars on the lot. The apartments also have not been updated in over 30 years. electric bills are 3 times normal about due to old everything. Living here has been a nightmare.

Thank you for your review and valuable feedback. I am sorry to hear you are so unhappy in your apartment. Having a flood or construction issue is very frustrating, we completely agree. With this in mind we do try to correct issues as quickly as possible. The floor in your building was reported, inspected, and corrected all in one week. We used the cone to notify every one of the potential fall hazard while our flooring vendor could schedule the repairs. As for your water heater, we have checked our records and no one in this building is showing a water heater issue. We did have a drain problem that was corrected within 24 hours. The carpet had to dry overnight to be properly treated and re-installed. We are showing this to be corrected within a 24 hour period as well. The community was built in the 1970’s and has had several upgrades to include interior and exterior renovations. This year we are getting new vinyl windows in most ground level apartments as well as some interior flooring and lighting upgrades. All of these items help to save money and improve the overall look of the apartments. We would love to speak with you personally about your apartment and any issues you have. I was totally disappointed. Very small, hallway is smelly and the apartment smells even worse.

We are sorry to hear your apartment was not to your standards. Our interior hallways are a bit different than an open air breezeway concept. We are presently updating many hallways with new paint and flooring to cut down on materials that may hold odors such as cooking food. The great news is the interior hallways makes for lower utility bills and a covered area to carry in groceries! Please contact the office if you need anything to make your stay more comfortable.
