If you're looking for that cozy, small-town feel interspersed with the excitement of a big city, then Wilmington is the place for you. Located in the northern-most portion of Delaware near the Pennsylvania border and close to the city of Philadelphia, PA, Wilmington has plenty to offer no matter what your age or interests. The specific neighborhood of the city that's best for you can vary based on your budget, but some of the more popular neighborhoods include Trolley Square (which is known for its beautiful architecture) and Bradywine Park (which is dotted with lovely parks and nature trails).
If you're the artsy type, you'll love visiting the Delaware Art Museum, located on Kentemere Parkway. Here, you can enjoy viewing work from local and globally known artists ranging anywhere from the mid 1800s to present day. Be sure to visit plenty throughout the year, though, as they're always featuring new exhibits and galleries.

Property Ratings at Brandywine Apartments
Management controls when you have access to heat/ac. The systems are old and breakdown often. I had to buy space heaters and a portable a/c unit to ensure I had heat and a/c. Resident security is NOT a priority. May 2024 residents were told a new security system was being installed. The old system was disconnected and 6 months later the new hadn't been installed leaving the front and rear doors on the building open and unlocked. No notice is given when water is turned off for repairs, you find out when you go to take a shower and there's no water. Carpeting in the hallways is not vacuumed on a regular basis and is filthy, as are the walls. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Most of the office staff is under/untrained and couldn't care less if you have a problem or concern.
I've lived here for 7 years. No complaints. No issues in my apartment, staff is always professional and pleasant and the property is so well maintained.
Maintenance is slow to not just respond to requests but the important and vital ones. Which is awful, especially if it has to do with water heat air conditioning ect. They don’t even come into the apartment at that. Some of the neighbors and past tenants I’ve spoken to have attested to this. My wife and I have also experienced this. I can only speak for my experiences but I suggest everyone do their due diligence and talk to neighbors and people they see on the property. You will be more glad that you took more time to look and actually find a place that won’t stress you.
I provided everything required after speaking to the office staff and paid the $50 application fee. After paying the fee, I was told the required documents I provided were not enough. I’ve now spent almost three weeks of providing additional documentation after additional documentation and even not receiving responses to my emails with the documentation. I’m not sure what is going on here, but be prepared for the run around. I’ve wasted $50 and going through and unnecessary credit check.
Moving into this complex was a breeze with the help of the staff at brandywine apartments. Not only were they nice and informative but the modern apartments are amazing. So far any issues I’ve had, maintenance came and fixed within a couple of days. I love it so far
Very unprofessional. Can not tell you want units they have available until after approved. Takes virtually weeks to be approved. Found to be very lazy and want far to much information for an apartment. Rate the 1 out 10
Excellent Staff Excellent apartment Lovely place to live very quiet
The building is well-kept the apartment is well-kept when a problem occurs they’ve come within 48 hours and fixes it only complaint is people from outside of the community are using our dumpsters and the dumpsters fill up very very fast I would recommend this complex to anybody and everybody that looking for an apartment We live in one of the newly renovated apartments where the wall between the living room and kitchen is down looks beautiful nice hardwood floors Jenny complaint is the air duct for the vent for the stove could be a little higher
Since moving to Brandywine apartments, I can honestly say, the staff have been very friendly and courteous towards my family and I. Recommendations was given by myself for other family members and friends to apply, in which they did receive their own apartment. The only complaint I have is in regards to neighbors, in which the complex have no control, as to how adults are suppose to act, with respect to other people. It have been a pleasure living here and I recommend more individuals if asked. J. Wilson
I had to restart my life after getting out a relationship. The staff was very accommodating and helpful during the transition period. I haven’t had any issues with repairs outside of the dryer in the laundry room and when they fixed it, it worked even better. I like that it’s close to 95 so I can go to philly quickly and to work in Wilmington. My son likes that there are kids in the community that he can play with.
I have lived here for three years. Promptly made payments every month. When it came for renewal my husband went to the office to renew our lease. The lady at the reception told us that she will send us a new renewal contract. Then came the long weekend suddenly we realized that we still had not received our renewal agreement and when my husband went to check they asked him to pay a late fee. When this matter was bought to the property manager, he spoke to us very rudely and he took the matter very personally telling us that we are blaming his staff. Infact he is blaming us rather than doing their job properly. They did not send the new renewal agreement on time and they completely put the blame on us and charged us. Very disappointed will not renew the lease next time for sure!!!
Its decent for short time; if nothing breaks that is. If you have any repairs, don't plan on it getting fixed for at least 2 months. When they do fix it, its usually half completed. Plus the people that do the repairs are extremely unprofessional. They do not wear the booties to protect the carpet and are the rudest people, making you feel completely incompetent. There is more inconvenience to living here than it is worth. Although the price may be somewhat fair, its not with what you are actually getting. I have lived here for 3 years and I am thrilled to be leaving.
Property Manager at Brandywine Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thanks for your review and concerns. I am regretful that we seemed to miss the mark in meeting your expectations from our maintenance staff's performance. While we establish daily goals and objectives aimed toward meeting resident expectations, we are disappointed when we miss the mark with any resident. We will continue to improve the standards of our performance and we will be glad to address these concerns if you could call us at 302-475-8600.
This is a fairly Ok locality as everything is located fairly close by. I95 very close, PA just a right turn, malls close by and many more. In total if I rate this just by locality, I would strongly recommend these. Additionally, the staff is quite supportive & ready to help all the time. Safety wise, these are quite good and excellent people living. However, with all above positive points, there negatives are that these are fairly old apartments with lot of maintenance needed. The electricity wiring is quite old and hence you could see electricity rents more than usual or expected. These are the only negatives that degrades the rating of these apartments
I Live at the Brandywine Apts. I'm fairly new to this community. The area is fairly quiet and I enjoy my neighbors. The office is really nice and very accommodating. A lot of the apartments are newly renovated and a very spacious. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a nice area to live. You can always see children outside playing at the playground with the supervision of their parents.
I've lived here for 10 months and it's truly been a roller coaster. I was inadvertently rented an apt with a bug issue that took months to resolve. I was even told that I would have to start paying for the treatments because the issue wasn't resolved on their timeline. Also the model was nicer than my actual apt which is why I felt deceived plus you don't get a chance to see how your potential neighbors live their lives. I was surrounded by smokers and poorly trained pets. The price is fair but I wouldn't renew my lease here.
