Oak Creek is a suburban lakefront community just twenty minutes south of Downtown Milwaukee. With its close proximity to the larger city, low crime rate, and numerous high-performing public schools, Oak Creek serves as a highly popular home base for many Milwaukee commuters.
While mostly a residential community, there are a few large shopping centers positioned along Howell Avenue. The lakefront offers endless opportunities for boating and fishing, and the numerous public parks (Root River Parkway and Grant Park in particular) and golf courses give you lots of excuses to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air. General Mitchell International Airport sits right on the north side of town, making it the terrific location for frequent travelers as well as daily commuters.

Property Ratings at Brandywood Apartments
Don’t do it! Have been told for months that this problem is “being taken care of” but when does the actual “fix” take place! The infestation was NOT disclosed and has progressively gotten worse! Management doesn’t seem to take ANY pride in these buildings! Most definitely a HEATH HAZARD. Don’t subject your wellbeing to this place! Not worth the money!
this place has roaches. You will be impacted. Please listen to the reviews
Horrible, Horrible place to live! Roaches everywhere. Property Manager doesn’t care, doesn’t fix anything properly! He picks who he is nice too! Moldy Washers!!
I have lived at Brandywood for years. I have never had any issues with the manager. If it's an emergency service it's been taken care of in a timely manner. If it was a need, like updates, blinds, etc it takes longer but it gets done. Neighbors are quiet with no issues, at least on my floor. I continue to stay here because of the positive experiences. Good location, walking distance to retail and food stores. I have read previous reviews and fortunately I can not say I have experienced this. If I could change one thing I would like washer and dryer units in each apartment. Other than that, I am completely satisfied with my apartment and would recommend anyone who is looking for an apartment
I have been living in this apt from last 6 years.. Manager Rich is such a nice and kind hearted person.. when ever any maintenance is requied i call Rich and he solve the problem as soon as possible.. This apartment is kids friendly.. All kids love Rich.. i have seen many bad reviews about this apartments but i dont understand y? i have never ever faced any problem staying here.. I will be staying here until i buy my own house..
This was a great experience. I had my concerns addressed immediately as they came up. Communication was clear and expectations back and forth were understood. I lived here for over 7 years. I would recommend this property to anyone looking in the area.
Four or five stars for this? NEVER!!! Roaches. Stopped up toilets. Don’t even waste your time and money. This is not worth it.
How this place got a 4 star review is beyond me! Apartment manager Rich is a bully, and the owners never come out to see what he is doing, so he gets away with doing nothing. Sidewalk never get shoveled in winter, except up to his office door, so you have to walk on ice from the parking lot. Repairs are not done in a timely manner, because he is only on site 2 days a week. The fire alarms go off for no reason, so often that no one even calls the fire department anymore. (Hopefully a real fire never occurs, because no one ever leaves the building.) There are no hardwood floors or high speed internet. The only way to get internet is to pay for it, so don't let the descriptions they put up fool you. There are much better places in the area with more amenities for about the same price. Look anywhere but here!
Place is not kept up with, landlord does nothing about getting stuff fixed, when moved in place smelt like cat told him about it and he did nothing at all. Told me I have to leave within a day in beginning of January and he still charged us for that month even though he swore if we moved out we wouldn’t be charged. Rich the landlord is a terrible person, a liar and doesn’t care about anyone but himself
First thing to realize is that contrary to this ad there are NO hardwood floors, NO courtyard. The other big issue is the fact that you have to beg and sometimes even threaten legal action to get repairs done to your unit. I had an issue from day one that took me 2 yrs and multiple work requests and finally driving to waukesha with photos to see the owners to get resolved. I have another issue with my cabinets that took a year to get their guy to come in and investigate. Was told that the whole unit would need replacing and that they would not do anything about it. If you only are looking to stay 3-6 month be my guest and rent here. Otherwise find a different place to live
