I've lived here since September, and haven't had any problems. The office staff is responsive and the complex overall is quiet. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a place with easy access to the exciting parts of Lexington and at a decent price.
I just wanted to warn anyone thinking of moving to Breckinridge Court to RUN FAST! We have lived here for 2 years and were dead set to leave when the lease ended in June due to multiple break ins and just the general way things are handled here. With no luck finding a new home we decided to move to another building with a different layout. We were supposed to be receiving keys and moving today, but when we went to the office, we were told our new apartment had no carpet and our move in day had been pushed to the 1st. We now have to reschedule all of our moving plans from a weekend to a weekday, and we lose possession of our original place on the 1st. I had confirmed with them at least 4 times that we would be getting our keys today and never once was I contacted about the change in dates. Save yourself the trouble and the money of living here. These people have screwed me over more times than I can keep track of anymore.
This place is HORRIBLE the apartments are trash!!! I don’t need to leave a long review just run!!! They talk about their residents openly in the office as well . Leasing management she was extremely rude.
The staff here takes its time to get to know you personally. They maintenance crew are available, and follow up with any concerns in a very timely manner. The manager takes every step she can to ensure happiness, and the safety of the people living here. It's been one of my favorite places to live.
I absolutely love living here. Maintenance requests are done promptly as soon as I put in request, everyone here is very nice and the office staff is phenomenal. I've been in a one bedroom but plan to be in a two bedroom this summer, I plan to stay here for awhile.
Breckenridge court is a beautiful community. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to my move in needs. The apartment itself was nice and clean upon arrival. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone.
Wonderful place to live. Have been here for a little over 2 years and so far it's been pretty great. Little issues if any and the staff and management are pretty open and quick to get back to you. Would recommend.
DO NOT LIVE THERE. I AM WARNING YOU. They did the worst thing they could do to us. They showed us pictures of an apartment and then ON OUR MOVING IN DAY when we got the key and saw the apartment, we realized this is not the one they showed us. We rushed to the office for help but they were very rude and basically told us this is what it is. The manager told us either to take the apartment or leave the keys. They handled this situation in a way "they don't even care if you stay or leave" while this we were definitely right and this was definitely their fault. None of them accepted what they did to us. The agent was so confident that the manager has her back that she did not even bother to calm us down or something. I was moving from a furnished apartment to their community and I bought many pieces of furniture for my new place. Now all my stuff is packed, I have electricity, internet and home insurance lined up for them, I reserved a UHaul and paid for that and WORST of all, I gave a leave notice to my previous landlord so I have to move out while I do not have any place. They are AWFUL and TERRIBLE both in MANAGEMENT and simply being ALTRUISM.

Amenities such as views, floor level and fireplaces are not always available for every apartment in every floor plan. Horrible management, they will tell you anything but not follow through. Pool isn't maintained, the restroom was disgusting and they wouldn't clean it. Management sends email to pay using online system but doesn't provide the correct, the link they provide is for online assistance for the website, waste of time.

We hear you. Thank you for the honest feedback. Before opening the pool this year we renovated the pool and the pool restrooms. Residents also have access to their own accounts 24 hours a day through the Resident Portal. All you need to do is go to Leinbach.com, find your Apartment Community and choose Resident Portal in the top Right hand corner of the screen. You will log in with the email you have on file and your apartment number. You can set up a recurring payment or choose to do a one time payment. (There are fees associated if you pay with a Credit Card.)
Don't get me started on the leasing office. They will do anything to make you feel welcome. They go around showing the perfect models, when in reality its not perfect. You can see the spots they quickly painted over. We called the to fix the cracks in the wall and they came in and left them. There is preexisting water damage all over the bathroom cabinets. Also if they maintained their buildings even a bit I wouldn't be seeing brown recluse and black widow spiders around the complex. Don't even try to park here either. Most of the time you have to speed to the closest available spot because you know deep down that there isn't enough spot by your actual building. The pool looks like it needs to be vacuumed badly. Also be aware that if you call for maintenance they would still be told to come in even though you aren't home.
Breckinridge Court is a wonderful place to chose to live. The property is centrally located next to anything you need to get to, whether it be the mall, the grocery, or downtown! I highly recommend that you check this place out. It is affordable and you get a good looking apartment at a really great rate. The office staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, especially Rachel the leasing consultant. She was so helpful and nice!
This place is really worth a stay in Lexington. The staff is so friendly and the maintenance service is great. These apartments are nice and quiet. It is a clean community. I am moving out of state hence I have to move out of the apartment. I would have loved to stay here for long. The location of the community is all green and beautiful with accessibility to parks , grocery stores , etc. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in Lexington.
I've lived here for almost two years and although it hasn't been horrible it's definitely not all its cracked up to be. I wouldn't recommend living here. When I came in to tour the complex they showed me the model and I loved it however, when I moved in the apartment they rented me was nothing like the model. They rented me a handicap accessible apartment without my knowledge. When I went to renew my lease for the second year and asked if I could switch to a regular apartment they were going to charge me more and told me one wouldn't be available for another month. When I moved in my leasing agent forgot to collect my rent and so I almost got evicted within my first week living there. Also if you are a smoker do NOT live here! It is a smoke free property so the only places you can smoke are in your car or on the sidewalk off the property. If you get caught smoking they fine you $50. The management is absolutely horrible. My neighbor across the hall from me had mold growing in her apartment due to some flooding issues and in order to move to another apartment she had to have a doctors note to say that it was affecting her health. They also wanted to fine her because they thought she wasn't picking up after her dog. They nickle and dime you for everything! Management is absolutely terrible and there are plenty of other apartments on the same street and in the same vicinity that are just as nice and that are not as strict as this place.

Amanda, We apologize if the apartment was not your satisfaction. We did offer a 30 day money back guarantee on the apartment if for any reason it wasn't up to your standard. You are correct that we are a non-smoking property. We proudly advertise that fact and are very strict in enforcing that policy. Our residents move here to get away from cigarette smell, and we do not appreciate anyone taking away that comfort. That also includes not picking up after your pet. Our residents expect a certain standard and we work hard to enforce that standard and our policies.
This apartment is horrible. Their management group is absolutely not helpful. All what they do is trying to get your money. When I moved in, everything looked fine. People were friendly and they welcomed us with big smiles. My stay here was not too bad, except the terrible sound proof issues. You can easily hear the conversations if your neighbors talk a bit loudly. (You will never be able to tell this because if you do a visit with the leasing office manager, it is most likely during daytime. People are working so they are not at home.) When I moved out, they charged me money for a broken blind. I swear I did not do anything to the blind. Actually, I barely used it. The blind was of bad quality, cheap made, and is easy to break with excessive sun exposure. They said the blind was good when I moved in and its broken when I moved out. Yes this is true but hey, can I stop the sunlight from going through the window glass? This completely does not make any sense. They are like ripping me off. My security deposit is now completely gone and I still need to pay the unreasonable move-out bill. I feel really upset and I do not recommend this apartment to anyone, unless you have a lot of money that you want to give away. LOL

You have been a responsible resident and we have appreciated having you with us for these past 2 years. As discussed over the phone, the apartment was left in moderately good condition, but required cleaning as well as a small amount of trash removal, which you agreed was needed. Having taken into consideration the great resident you have been, the cleaning charges were given at a discount. However the broken blind was an out of pocket expense and did have to be charged for. As you had stated in a previous review, the apartment was in great condition upon move in. This is the standard we have for all of our apartments. Once again, thank you for having been a part of the Breckinridge Court Community and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
Love this little community! Moved here for a short stay that has been extended, but, happy we are here. Maintenance is quick when we need them, enjoy the pool and office staff is very friendly!

It is a very nice place with good amenities such as a pool, gym, and tennis courts. It is also in a very good location. It's close to a lot of restaurants and convint stores. The people are nice and helpful. The rent is a little high but I think it is worth it.
