Property Ratings at Briarcliff Apartments East
When looking for an apartment, I had a bunch of questions. Briarcliff was at the top of my list. But when I first called them with my questions, I was offput by an indifference and vague answers. I searched for and read more reviews on Briarcliff. The name Roxy kept popping up as so helpful and courteous. I called the property again and asked directly for Roxy. She answered all my questions so thoroughly and committed to walking me through the process. She was a great information source and good will ambassador. I've lived here now for a month and love my community. Spacious, big, great appliances. Love my balcony. Walking on my thick carpet. Grateful to Roxy for this experience.
Hi, I am sadly leaving here and cannot tell you how daunting it has been to try and find another apartment tha† comes close to price and square footage. The reason I am moving you ask? My commute to work is anywhere from 2 hours to 1 hour. I am exhausted when I get home and do nothing. I currently rent a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom and den. In addition, the staff has always been great and very, very responsive. My apartment is huge, so big that at one point I had a roommate and we both had sectional sofas! The closet space was great as there was plenty to house my stuff. You wonder about the noise? The only time I heard noise was if there were people in the halls having a conversation or every now and then the kids outside, but honestly, it has been quiet. I have not had anyone knock on my door and there were times I was vacuuming at 2am. There is also a storage closet outside of my patio, you know other places charge you extra for storage, the one I am moving too is! The staff has always been pleasant, not only when you see them in the office but when you see them on the grounds or even when you bump into them at the grocery store. Whenever I did have an issue, it was addressed right away. The space is great and large, I am telling you the price is unbeatable. I am going to be paying more for less when I move and I am so sad. They have a great pool here, they do fun events for the residents and have contests. It really is great here. I recommend this place to anyone who is moving to this area!!

We are so overjoyed that you loved your home here at Briarcliff Apartments, and we are sad that you are leaving! Our spacious and virtually soundproof and fireproof units are truly unique to this area. We care deeply about our residents, so we strive to provide the most exceptional service and are glad to hear that our efforts are appreciated! We wish you all the best, and if your situation changes, please come see us!
I'll list the negatives and positives of Briarcliff. 1) We had a mouse problem that took multiple e-mails, phone calls, and hounding to get taken care of. 2) Neighbors kept their trash sitting in the hallway and never received any warning or violation notice. We forgot to tie our trashbag ONE time and received a notice about a fine... 3) The shared utility bill (I can go on about this forever). Because we had a larger apartment, we were required to pay a bigger percentage of the amount used (water/gas/sewer); however, there were large families shoved into tinier apartments all around our unit. They were obviously using more than two graduate students who were barely home (us), but we had to foot the bill- super annoying and extremely unfair. Management should lump families together in different buildings than individuals/college students to prevent this. 4) The pool is costly and you can't bring guests unless they want to empty their wallet. The pool pass should be included. Positives: 1) Soundproof walls- I hear absolutely nothing besides when my neighbors are shouting. 2) Management is responsive and pleasant. 3) Parking! Always available and never had a problem.
This was the 3rd apartment complex my boyfriend and I looked at when we were deciding to move out of our parents' houses and from the moment we stepped into the leasing office I have loved it here. Staff in the leasing office are so nice, and went out of their way to make sure everything for my pet was set up properly. Apartments are soundproof which is awesome, and every unit has full size washer and dryer. I've never had a problem with parking, and when we've had problems inside the unit I can put in a maintenance request that night and it will be fixed next day while I'm at work. We love it here. All five stars! Raises questions? Frankly after all these years of renting apartments and also from all my friends' experience (almost everyone renting apartment in and around), one thing we need to agree is there is always both positive and negative experiences; And when it comes to a review I personally feel it cannot be just based on one bad incident. The overall ATTITUDE AND VALUES of the landlords and management is what it matters. Should those two be good and positive then all their efforts will speak thousand words. This is my experience with Briarcliff management. They are always Courteous with the residents and they strive to provide value service to the residents. I have various situations were this VALUE is proved by their actions. All said, for folks looking for bullet points: 1. Sound proof concrete floors and walls, which is so soothing for ears and peaceful. 2. Hi-tech management which accepts online payment and hosts online portal for maintenance requests 3. Hosts a load of community events 4. Dedicated and kind people in maintenance staffs 5. Almost all issues attended on same day or next 6. Huge house than standard. 900 sq.ft one bed!!! 7. Spacious and well lit kitchen with window, now that's called bonus for happy homemakers 8. New or moderately used appliances 9. Nice view from patio or balcony in most cases as the apartments are not sitting crowded. 10. Snow or leaves whatever accumulates are cleaned promptly. 11. Ample and spacious parking lot. 12. Big pool with deep end. And now for the negative points. 1. Shared utility bill was the only concern I always have. I just hope it won't make much difference in what I pay. As I said earlier there is always positive and negative. With those many positives shadowing the negative is mainly their ATTITUDE AND VALUE which is always in favor of us the tenants.
We have lived in this community now for over 4 years, after moving out of our single family home. Although the community is vibrant and has many amenities to offer, you also have peace and solitude available to you 24/7. YOU choose your comfort zone. Centrally located to great dining options, shopping, night life or family activities, public transportation, educational venues, and local medical establishments. The staff is professional, courteous and engaging on all levels. Events are held for community involvement, and the management also takes part in giving back to the local community as well. Maintenance is done not only when needed, but in a preventative manner as well, delivered in a friendly and efficient way. This provides for peace of mind when avoiding potential issues. The grounds are kept immaculate, and parking is more than ample. Safety in this community has never been in question, and the grounds are well lit, and free of debris. When our needs changed and we needed a more accessible unit to care for a family member with disabilities, the management helped us in locating to a unit suited just for that purpose. We can't imagine living anywhere else, and have recommended Briarcliff to many friends and family members.
