For over half a century, Huntsville has been associated with the development and testing of rockets for space exploration. This idyllic community in the Appalachian foothills of northern Alabama is a powerhouse of high-tech innovation for both civilian and military applications, with Redstone Arsenal, Cummings Research Park, and NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center driving the local economy. Living in the Huntsville area, you are likely to hear sounds from helicopters and rocket engines on a fairly regular basis.
The city’s intellectual values extend into the local schools as well, which are among the best in the state. But even though the city is home to such a large and unique scientific community, Huntsville retains a timeless atmosphere of Southern charm. Beautiful historic architecture is all around, especially in the Twickenham and Old Town Historic Districts.
Huntsville offers an array of apartments and houses available for rent in every style and budget imaginable.

Property Ratings at Briargreen Apartments
Cars broken into, constant smell of sewage, lack of care and consistency with management, changing of payments for lease accepted 3 different times... just keep searching
While Briargreen is not the Ritz-Carlton, I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to save on rent. Management is always friendly and attentive. Maintenance is very responsive and almost always fixes the issue in less than 24 hours. The neighbors / other residents are friendly, and the area is safe. I have enjoyed living here for the past 2 years.
After my wife passed I could not be in a house alone and just needed simple! I moved to a much more expensive property (I will not name)with quite a few amenities and lived there for about two years! It was just a very cold and horrible experience! Despite being a newer completely refurbished place the place never felt like home, I had very shady and noisy neighbors and the staff was disinterested in every way! I was according to them one of the best tenants they had but when the neighbors apartment above had a water leak my apartment flooded, they did the bare minimum to remedy! I moved to Briargreen and toured my future home with Jaycee and worked with Lisa on the paperwork end and for three years that little apartment became a wonderful and peaceful home and the view from my upstairs patio was gorgeous! Jaycee and Lisa make this place feel like home. the maintenance and upkeep of the property and apartments is second to none! Not once in the few times that I needed something did I ever have to ask more then once or wait more than a few hours! It is hands down the most peaceful, most relaxing and comforting apartment I have ever lived in and over the last three decades I have lived in many states in much more expensive places and never had the peace and security, the thoughtfulness and care that I have had at Briargreen! It all comes down to the management, they became family to me and I cannot thank Jaycee (so gracious) and Lisa (so get it done) enough! You guys saw me through some pretty dark times and made those years colorful and joyful! This is the first and only apartment community I have ever lived that actually made me sad to leave, it was just time to get closer to my kids but I felt like I was leaving family! I cannot recommend this community enough nor can i say than you enough to Jaycee and Lisa! Thank you for being there for me and for making the world a lot more beautiful!
I moved in in 2016! Lisa and Jaycee are awesome managers! I have never had any issues with them or the maintenance staff. Any issues with the apartment or tenants are addressed promptly. The lawn and apartments are well maintained! The only thing that would make my stay better is if they painted lines in the parking lot (people don’t know how to park) and add a playground so kids would have a place to play! Other than that, everything is GREAT! The only way I would move is if someone GAVE me a house or they evict me!
The buildings are very clean and well maintained. It’s a very quiet area. The staff is EXCELLENT. They go above and beyond by providing great customer service; they treat you like family. These apartments offer the amenities of a five-star apartment but at a one-star price tag. It’s a place I love to call home.
Excessively noisy and abusive neighbor for 2 years. Noise is to be expected, its an apartment building. But the extent to which it is is ludicrous. Front office is aware, and acknowledges the problem... but nothing is done. The neighbor is also living there without being on the lease (per the apartment managers), and it is allowed. This is not a "once in a while" scenario. This is 6 out of 7 days a week, for hours on end.
The staff is friendly!!! It's an AMAZING, PEACEFUL neighborhood!!! It my first apartment and I am very pleased and have told many people about this area!!! I've been here almost 2 years!!!
I moved here a year ago. I've looked at so many other apartments for a good price, and most if not all of them are in bad areas. I came across Briar Green Apartments and learned they had a deal for a 1-bedroom 550 sq. ft. efficiency for $390 per month (at the time). Most would think that an apartment at that price would be poorly maintained and in a bad location. Not this place. It looks very good--especially for the price. It's quiet, has nice neighbors, and I never had a problem. Maintenance is good too. They come the day you call them. Great place to live.
I moved here right at a year ago. The people who work here are amazing. Quick to respond to maintenance requests and always friendly. The apartment itself is very nice. Having a washer and dryer again is the best! Very pet friendly and a quiet neighborhood. I'd recommend this complex to anyone. And have.
I moved in Briargreen Apts. about 3 years ago. At the time I was coming out of bad relationship stalking, break ins. I moved in with my sister, but I need to take but control of my life. I went to a 10 different apartment searching for the right feel. When I got to Briargreen and met Adam and Lisa they were very friendly and open. They told me about the 24 number to call if there was a problem. They explain the security lights and told me they never had any problem there in the past. I went to a lot of friends and co worker asking did they know anything about the apartments. They all told me it was a quiet area, they never heard about bad about it. So I got the deposit and application fees together. They showed me the apt. I will be renting and told me about the long term neighbors and I felt better. I moved in and any problem came up the addressed it right away. Its been 3 years and I still love the area. When anyone ask about a place to live I tell them my story and tell to call and go by the apts.
Briargreen apartment's is a place you can call home. Very peaceful and quite. Great amenities amd they are always willing to resolve any issues or problems regardless of jow small or large it is. I recommend Briargreen apartments to anyone.
I have made the right choice in living here. I find that the office is very professional and courteous and when it comes to any problems they are handled in a timely matter. The grounds are always cleaned and well kept. The neighbors are friendly and the environment is quiet.
I have lived in Briargreen apartments for sometime now, I had my first child while living here. The apartments are cozy with a fireplace and unique layout for the 2 bedrooms. The living room is in the middle while the master with bathroom is on one end and the spare room on the other. I love the deep closets, and the shelves over the washer and dryers. The neighborhood is peaceful and the lawn staff always does a great job,as my son loves to go out and play. Lights in the parking lot after dark, and a friendly maitenence staff.
Great apartments maintained, good areas and restaurants;large courtyard right in the middle of the city
I would describe the apartment I live in to be clean and an important thing is comfortability. The rental price is reasonable and the environment is a safe, quiet, and peaceful residence to stay with all cultural backgrounds as neighbors. It's quiet at night and everyone respects your privacy. In all, it's a great place for couples and single individuals as well, not to mention single parents or married couples as well.
It's very convenient. You only pay rent and electric and it comes with an in unit washer and dryer. The only problem is the very thin walls.
Briargreen Apartments is an awesome place to live. Management is the best. The property is well kept and they always do preventative maintenance.
