Property Ratings at Briarwood Apartments
Looking to live here...DO NOT...the worst property management company around with no respect for its residents just for themselves and their pockets. If you like being told when you can do laundry move in.. if you like emergency water outages move in...if you like writing, emailing or calling for issues and no responses move in. Their lack of respect for residents is beyond unbelievable. Their 2 month renovation project started in Feb....not completed, then it was to be completed in June and it's September still no end in sight. If you want to live with Sheetrock dust inside your apartment because of their incompetent contractor or outside due to same incompetent contractor and their lack of professionalism move in. Their destruction of residents property with no compensation is again showing their lack of respect. Offie hours M-S 10am -6pm...not so try going by and see if anyone is there...nope...try and call during the same hours...no one answers, I want a job like that. I say RUN and run fast away from this property, save yourself the headaches.

We've had the pleasure to stay at Briarwood Apartments for a few years now, and we really love it here. The Manager, Barbara is doing a fantastic job! Quick to respond and help tenants when the need arises with a positive attitude and a great deal of respect. We really value Barbara as the manager! She really cares for the tenants and the property.The building is clean and beautiful with recent upgrades. It is a wonderful community and location, safe, close to schools, downtown, parks, library, etc.
I am so grateful for Briarwood and its staff. What a wonderful moving experience. Thank you Barbra (the manager) for walking us through this process. Our apartment was clean and ready when we moved in. The property is updated and our neighbors are so friendly.
I am the first one to write about the current manager and the end result " eviction notice" I am fighting it as i have a good defense. This complex has become residents for HIGHLY DESTITUTE folks and not for NORMAL family. I have been resident here since 2013 and had no issues since new manager arrived few months back. good luck - I AM SURE YOU WILL REMEMBER MY WORDS

My roommates and I went to their office with our applications and money ready to apply. She told us we would be put on the waitlist but would most likely get an apartment and gladly took all of our money. She said she would be in contact with us via email about a tour and our waitlist status shortly. We waited a month and never heard from her. We tried calling, got no answer and emailing as well with no luck. We finally went to the office again and asked for our application money back since she never followed up like she said. She rudely told us no and that our emails must have went to her junk mail (not our issue). We asked for the owner's number and she said no she couldn't give that to us. She was SO rude and hurried us out of her office. We got no refund. No tour. No emails. I'm glad we didn't end up renting at Briarwood, she seems like a very bad manager who only wants your money.
Briarwood Apartments is a decent apartment complex with all of the basic necessities and even a pool. Every apartment has either a balcony or patio which is great for California living. It was also the cheapest apartment I was able to find in the area. One downside is that the only way we were allowed to pay rent was through money orders. My biggest complaint is about the manager and the company that manages the complex. The manager is a very nice, pleasant person to interact with, but we have incurred extra charges due to her negligence (that we were not compensated for) and we are currently battling to get our security deposit back. (The security deposit was supposed to have been returned to us 15 days ago.) Be forewarned that you will be "nickel and dimed" and have a lot of trouble getting any of your money back. Overall, I do not recommend Briarwood Apartments. The money you save is not worth the hassle.
The manager was very helpful and considerate to my needs. The one thing that stood out the most was the great customer service and the type of credit and background checks they do. They are very precise and strive to find dependable renters. That is the type of community complex I'm glad I'm able to be part of. They have top of the line security were I'm able to feel peaceful at home.
