There is a pest problem that they do not tell you about it is out of control and no matter how many times we complain nothing is being done!!!! They have said they will check it out about 8 times and still nothing is being done!! This is absolutely ridiculous!
there, APARTMENTS NOT RECOMMENDED. I have lived here for almost 2 years. I had issues with mice in my apartment KITCHEN, but the apartment is not expected to give any compensation for that as it has caused inconvenience to residents. HOWEVER, the management is now charging me $300+ to pay for carpet replacement in such unprecedented times of COVID, when the carpet is in clear, untorn condition, & is definitely easily cleanable with simple carpet cleaning and their special tools. Management has kept the deposit of $300 and charging me $300+ on top of it for carpet. management, asked me to talk to accounts department. The accounts department, said, they’d send me the pictures and quotation received from carpet cleaner, but I have still not received it since past 4 days. I also also have a word with some previous residents, and have received similar feedback.
Let me start with this, I have been in USA from last 3 years moved a lot for my work from Seattle, Arkansas, Texas and last destined to Chicago in Briarwood. I have never seen such a helpful, supportive, understanding, ground to earth, smart, professional, dedicated person like SAMANATHA. wondering who is Samantha she was my leasing agent at the community office who helped me in real hard situation. I am being sent back to my home country as Visa has expired due to which I was in a bad situation for leaving the country, moving, selling and I got weak financially as well. I had a bigger problem as I was breaking my lease earlier and I had to re rent or pay my 12 month lease that was a lot of money.... She tried to help me in many ways to get this apartment re rented. The day she found a person who would re rent she appeared to me as an Angel sent by God to help me out in my disturbed situation. She helped me in many ways but still that was strictly professional help binding with the management policies. I praise her a lot and will definitely not forget a person like her in my entire life. My wife is also thankful to her. She is the BEST. God bless you Samantha.... Love you
This place is absolutely terrible. Seriously, I beg you to take your hard earned money elsewhere because this place is literally the worst. The property managers treat you like crap and do not keep you informed of anything. They intrigue you with inexpensive rent and then charge you up the whazoo when it comes time to leave. (and trust me, you will want to leave) The apartments arn't in great condition and they don't do much upkeep....actually, no upkeep at all.
Concerns Only : All wood - noisy every time, just imagine if your sleep get disturbed due to someone simply walk in their house. The apartment is in the middle of roads all the sides, there will be noise from the road also if you open the windows. Rent - They will attract you with offers and many fake reductions, but believe me, the next lease renewal would be a compensation for all... The rent they charge is not worth for the place and features of the apartment. more importantly There is no good rated schools in the same city. You may find better apartments nearby like in Arlington heights for 50-100 bugs extra with excellent rated schools. Management: can't comment, never expect a customer care. "You live there if you want" is the attitude you can expect. They do whatever they think, they change the laundry system as they wish, you loose money no notice nothing... excellent management... Security: At your own risk, no CCTV.... I will not tell what else is not... Parking - yes a lot of parking space, anyone can come and park here, you may be parking 1 mile away from your home but still you get a parking.. Water - Lead is common in Chicago, Here nothing less... remember you must be extra care with kids. Overall: You spend a lot for such a cheep apartment with nothing importantly good.. You again spend a lot once you decide to move out in the form of "fine" for using their apartments... lol (they tell you the carpets are dirty, their painting is dull etc...) Pros : Super markets and few companies are nearby.
They charge you for full carpet replacements even for minor dirts/stains. It is unacceptable considering the hefty rent that they charge!!
I have lived here for around 3 years. The place is OK though the rent has been raising for each term except when they had too much vacancy last winter and they were attracting tenants with 1 month free(They don't give that for existing tenants who renew) Good things - place is a decent community, spacious apartment, polite staff especially Samantha. Cons - 1) No respect for existing tenants who try to renew. They give 1 month free to attract new tenants, there were time when they were giving free apple watches for new residents, however, they continue the high rent for existing tenants who try to renew. 2) Move out fees - They charge almost a month's rent as move out fee. They say it is for damages like carpet replacement, kitchen counter top replacement etc. Honestly, their carpet is cheap, and doesn't last for 3 years but still they will make you pay for it as you move out. The kitchen counter top looks cheap wood but still they will charge a hefty charge for cleaning. 3) I heard there is a recent change in management/corporate, and seems like the new management is least bothered and are charging heavily. Some of my friends living there also got big move out bills of $1k... Be ready to pay 1 month extra rent if you move in to this apartment.
Spacious, great layout, awesome kitchen, and dog friendly. They do require you have your dog fixed, which is odd. But for being in Chicago, the rent is fair and we also got one month rent free for signing up when we did. Safe, nice apartment.
When moving here I really had no idea what to expect. I am living in one of the colonial buildings which house 16 units. The floors seem to be a pretty squeaky, the hallways smell, and there are no washer/dryer in the rooms. I do have to say that the staff is extremely helpful and all of my neighbors are nice. From the looks of it, 90% of everyone who lives here are Indian. So the hallways smell like Indian food. The apartment I am in is overall pretty spacious although the second bedroom is pretty small. When I moved into the apartment they supposedly "cleaned" the carpet although it was full of hair until I had to sweep it a few times. The complex does have a really nice pool and a decent exercise room. Oh and the price of my unit is around $1400 a month
