If you are looking for a bustling shopping and business district in the Atlanta area, then the Perimeter Center neighborhood is the spot for you. Anchored by Perimeter Mall, Perimeter Center is one of metro Atlanta’s largest commercial districts.
Perimeter Center straddles the Perimeter itself, a boundary outlined by Interstate 285 that separates Atlanta from the suburbs. Although a portion of Perimeter Center is considered a part of Atlanta, the area is also comprised of Brookhaven, Dunwoody, and Sandy Springs, some of the city’s most popular suburbs. An abundance of shopping centers and restaurants surround Perimeter Mall, so residents have easy access to plenty of amenities.
High rises filled with offices of major companies like UPS and three major hospitals — Saint Joseph’s, Northside, and Children’s at Scottish Rite — are in Perimeter Center as well.

Thanks for sharing your experience at The Bricks Perimeter Center! We're glad to hear that you've enjoyed the clean buildings, well-kept grounds, and excellent maintenance during your five-year stay. It's great knowing you find the neighborhood convenient with all its amenities. We appreciate having you as part of our community!
Apartment was not cleaned upon move-in. Appliances are cheap and do not perform well. Generally need to place multiple maintenance requests to have a problem fixed. Gates/doors/common areas are also poorly maintained.

I lived at The Bricks for 3 years. Initially, it was very hard to communicate with the leasing agent during the leasing process, as she struggled to meaningfully respond to emails with context and proper grammar. It was very difficult to sign, but I ultimately did. The move in process was great. The property is well-kept for the most part, and the maintenance guys are very kind. I personally perceived the maintenance supervisor as extremely lazy, as he never tried to actually fix anything when he came to my unit for work orders. The location is VERY convenient if 285 is on your commute. Walmart, Target, and Publix are walking distance. There are many restaurant and shopping options. The location is spectacular!!! The office staff needs some work. I was so sad when he left because he was absolutely amazing. One office staff member is very unprofessional and once she took over the valet trash on the property, she would become very defensive when informed of no trash pick ups. The last event that occurred took place when I came home from work and noticed my one, very light trash bag was not picked up. She came to my home, evidently angry, took my trash, and threw my trash can. I was in absolute disbelief with her behavior. Management did not reach out to me regarding her actions. I am very disappointed in how management handled this situation. I was a good paying resident for the almost 3 years I was there. I had already put my 2 weeks notice in because I was tired of the property. In the 3 years I was there, the property (or at least my unit) was never updated.
The people that live here as neighbors are great!! The maintenance staff is awesome!! The office staff does the best that they can. But the true property management and the company itself could care less about you. We live in one of the “penthouse” apartments as they call it (Unit 1411). But have went 2 months with a dishwasher that doesn’t dry (despite supposedly having upgraded appliances) and an AC unit with only 1 return air vent for a 1600 square foot 3 bedroom apartment!!! They will try to tell you that Isra “blowing 40 degrees out of the vent”, but without proper return air vents it doesn’t pull the actual hot air out. And the air blowing out comes at a trickle. Our power bills for the summer range from $300-$400. We reached out to the prior tenant since some of their mail still comes here and they stated they had the same issue and reported it as well. The community is great, but If you want this particular unit… I’d ask lots of questions and get them to address these issues BEFORE you move in!!!

I would like to discuss this further so that we can address these problems promptly and ensure they are resolved moving forward. Please feel free to reach out directly at your earliest convenience. Thank you, Kisha Culberson - Community Manager - 7703510756
Worst complex ever lived in. Poor construction - squeaky floors, thin walls. Very noisy and management does nothing. Tows some cars but ignores illegal handicap parking Rent went up over 20% in 2nd year. Not a good place.

The Bricks and BH Management has always taken care of my family. Even my daughter knows the staff on a first name basis and loves living here. Our concerns are always listened to and addressed in a timely manner.
i have never had any personal issue with the bricks my stay was great except for the issues with the mold and a continous battle about the loud noise from the tenants that live above me Terrible terrible experience.
Conveniently close to Perimeter Mall, within walking distance is shopping large and small (Walmart, Target, Hobby Lobby, Post Office, UPS, big new Publix soon) and bar, restaurant and take out options of every type. Brick's is modern (built 2004), brick-faced, clean, modern, safely gated. I particularly like the attached multi-story parking decks that enable cars under cover within steps of the apartment. Similarly, mail, package and dry cleaning facilities all safe/cool/dry indoors. Trash collected from outside the apartment door five days a week, which stops it piling up inside and for me is well worth the $25 per month charge. Large attractive pools, adult and kids, with Barbecue facilities and bookable event room. Staff are consistently helpful and friendly and work to arrange little events for residents to mix, and for me maintenance has been prompt, polite and efficient. All works for me.
Living at The Bricks has been easy and convenient. The staff is professional and responds to any issue in a timely manner. The grounds are well maintained are lovely. I enjoy living here.
I really appreciate how quick response time and completion of work requests are done. Thank you for all your hard work.
I've lived her for almost 9 years. I love the management team and I enjoy living here.
Awesome maintenance staff! Fast and professional! Super friendly, also!
I have lived here for a few months and have absolutely loved it. The team in the office is super helpful, the maintenance team is amazing and you can't beat the location. In comparison to other apartment complex's around the area, this is the best!
This is a lovely community that is close to activities, with beautiful amenities and large airy apartments.
Moving to The Bricks Perimeter Center was the best decision we made!
I've been here at The Bricks for about a month now and I'm very happy so far. It's a quiet community with a great location, I love my open floor plan and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
Great community activities
Pool regulations not enforced enough (hours and non tenants).
The Bricks provided multiple options of floor plans and helped us find the right one while offering reasonable rents. The location is great and offers the option to walk to many places. Within the complex, I have enjoyed taking my dog to the upgraded park and the various scenic courtyards.
Were very happy to be a part of the bricks perimeter community. Its a reasonably quiet and peaceful place to live in, at an excellent location with lots of shops and restaurants around. Also the support staffs are very efficient and quick to respond. I specially like the multi-floor parking facility which enables you to park at your own floor without the risk of break-ins, which Atlanta is notorious for. Also a big thumbs up for the weekly food truck stops! I highly recommend bricks perimeter to anyone looking to live around the Dunwoody area!
Pre-Covid, the complex was incredible. The amenities were top notch, always available, always clean and very inviting. Understandably, the virus has change things but Im hoping things get back to normal sooner rather than later.
Lately, the hallways are not very clean. The door leading to the parking deck has been without a door handle for a couple of weeks now and is hard to open. Some of my packages have been left in the hall next to the package concierge unsecured.
Awesome Staff and great apartments!
The front office staff is beyond helpful anytime I call about an issue. Most of the representatives are pleasant to work with.
Great location, excellent homes, good amenities and wonderful staff.
Were having a nicely quiet and peaceful stay at this community and never really had any big problem so far. We are happy being a part of this community.
Great community! Quiet spaces with upgraded amenities and great management/maintenance teams.
Multiple maintenance requests have been needed for issues that were falsely claimed to be solved. Bricks requires full pay for the garbage removal, but no longer picks the trash on all days that were explained when I moved in. I have not been able to use the gym or grill for the majority of my stay, but I am still paying full amount of rent without all amenities.
Nice property and staff
The Bricks is a quality apartment. I have wood floors, lighting in every room, washer and dryer included, an awesome garden, parking decks, which are convenient, and nice hallways. I really like living here. The price for living here was great when I signed. I have lived here for 5 months, and it's been great. The gates don't break, the office is friendly. I would recommend.
Great management. Nice apartments and generally good neighbours. Been here 2 years and no complaints.
The staff at The Bricks has been responsive, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. Ive enjoyed the weekly/monthly social events where Ive met great neighbors!
The management office is the biggest dissappointment I have seen. I truly believe their adeptness is only matched with apathy towards residents.
If you are a young person (20's-30 and single) looking for a great place to live look somewhere else. The location is great but dealing with management will give you a headache. Also, LOTS of families with young kids so make sure you get the top floor or you might wake up to the thumping the screaming of a small child. Management won't give you notice of anything themselves they rely solely on an automated system which makes no sense to me like why even have a office or have a job. I have lived here a year and I am counting down the days, hours, and minutes till I don't have to deal with management or the people that reside here.
I have lived at The Bricks for almost 5 years. New management took over during my first year living in the complex and I have been AMAZED by the ammenities and changes they have made! The managers are so accommodating and truly go out of their way to take care of their residents. My husband and I recently thought we were going to move out to buy our first house, but decided that we were in no rush because we are so happy where we currently are. Also, my husband and I enjoy walking to dinner and the mall. This is a great area if you love being “out and about”.
Noisy with poor construction. Stomping & slamming 24/7.
During my 4 years as a resident I've never felt compelled to write a review until now. I didn't even think about writing one after an elderly woman was attacked outside my apartment. I am very dissatisfied with the move out process. It has been extremely difficult dealing with the staff and communicating what I wanted to be done. They tried to charge me an early move out fee when I was simply trying to give my notice. Additionally, they charged me for small things when I was moving out. To be completely honest, I was so exhausted from dealing with them, that I just paid it, didn't argue, and left. They had a girl named Michelle call and tell me that I was being charged. Even though I had never upgraded once in 4 years, or taken advantage of anything else. I guess customer service isn't a value of theirs. It wasnt the money, it's the principle of getting nickeled and dimed from a below satisfactory place to live. It's just been a rough move- out. It really has put a bad taste in my mouth. Also, this place has frequent car break ins and crime. There is always a food truck that blocks the entrance and an unnecessary gate that cars seem to run into in the front. This is probably one of their worst decisions they've made. It takes 20 minutes for people to find their transponders. If you don't like waiting in long lines to get into your apartment, this isn't your cup of tea. They may have gotten new ammenities, but it won't change the experience I had moving out. Do your research, and go somewhere else.
I just recently moved out of this complex and had the same thing happen to me as the below: "A couple of weeks after moving out, I received a letter from a collection agency for $95.00 that I had apparently never paid to the Bricks. As someone who has impeccable credit and who pays my bills on time and is never late with rent, I was livid. When I called the Bricks to ask for information, the manager tried to not take my call. She told me that the charge was for a "strong urine smell in the carpet." This is for a unit that I lived in for 3.5 months with no pets. She also tried to get out of sending me the move-out report, even though I was being sent bills from a collection agency for charges on that report." I agree and would suggest that the current management company should send an itemized invoice to residents before just automatically turning it over to the collection agency. My advice, save some money and live ANYWHERE else.
A new management company took over this place in 2016. My advice is to stay away for a couple of years while they get their act together. When I moved out, I was promised a move-out report detailing any issues with my unit. Since I had only lived there for 3.5 months, I was not expecting any issues, but I am still a rational, responsible, professional adult, so when I did not receive a report or hear anything, I was proactive and called them. This was 3 weeks after I moved out. I was told by the employee that my account was cleared, so I moved on with my life. A couple of weeks after that I received a letter from a collection agency for $95.00 that I had apparently never paid to the Bricks. As someone who has impeccable credit and who pays my bills on time and is never late with rent, I was livid. When I called the Bricks to ask for information, the manager tried to not take my call. I had to ream the employee (same one who told me I had no charges) in order to get to the manager. When I spoke with her, she told me to send her evidence that I was told I had no charges (sent her a transcript of the voicemail the employee had left me...thanks to Google Voice for emailing voicemail transcripts). She also told me that the charge was for a "strong urine smell in the carpet." This is for a unit that I lived in for 3.5 months with no pets. She also tried to get out of sending me the move-out report, even though I was being sent bills from a collection agency for charges on that report. In short, the location is great, but I should have paid $100 more per month and moved into a place that was not changing management. For the current management company, I would advise you do the following: 1) When you lie on the move-out report, come up with a conceivable lie. Urine smell with no pets is dumb. 2) Send a bill before turning something over to a collection agency. This is Good Business 101. 3) Get your act together. It's not that hard. For what it's worth, I have never posted a review of anything online because I generally don't care, but this was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had, so I will be posting this review all over. If you are a professional with a decent salary who works near Peachtree-Dunwoody, just rent one of the other dozens of apartments in the area.
I just moved here about 2 weeks ago and so far so good. I love the area and the convenience . It is quiet, clean, and neat. I love my apartment and the space. I would definitely recommend this complex to young, singles or couples.
This apartment complex is located in Dunwoody near Perimeter Mall and many restaurants and businesses. The staff at the leasing office is great, and always willing to help with your needs. There are several unique floor plans to choose from and the interiors are very nice. This community is also very well maintained, and are a great price for the area. I highly recommend Gables Metropolitan.
Gables Metropolitan has beautiful architecture on each building. There are multiple foot traffic entrances for each building, surrounded by flowers and rocks. A path circles the site and has nice landscape and privacy. Relaxing zen gardens in the courtyards have calming fountains and benches. There is a complimentary outdoor grill in each courtyard and pool area. The outdoor pool always has a music radio station playing and many comfortable cushioned chairs. My first floor apartment is appealing and private. The back porch has a garden blocking foot traffic. Sometimes noises from the neighbors comes through the ceiling. Nice moulding on the walls gives the apartment a regal atmosphere. Brand new carpets when I moved in. A cozy place to live and work from home. The staff is helpful and friendly. They always try to solve any complaints as soon as possible. When maintenance is needed, a workman arrives right away or during the same day.
I have lived here for 6 months months now and have been more then happy. After having to break the lease at my previous apartment due to maintenance issues, I was really in need of a great place and this is it. So many restaurants within walking distance, dog friendly and an amazing gym. The staff are very nice and I have not had 1 maintenance issue since living here. Highly suggest living at this complex.
My husband and I have been living at Gables Metropolitan for a year now and we absolutely love it. All apartments are updated with granite countertops and black appliances- three bedroom apartment has stainless steel! The office staff is incredibly nice and have been since the day we toured the complex. Maintenance is the best here. I can put in requests the night before and they are here the next morning. They also do routine check ups to replace filters and clean dryer vents and check on sprinklers and etc. When I first moved in, the washing machine was being off so I requested maintenance to come and check. The machine couldn't be fixed so I got a brand new one the exact same day! Amenities include two very well maintained pools, two small parks, grills, and a nice gym. The pools are always packed on weekends. Grills are always checked for gas and ready to use. The gym is always cold and has about five elliptical and five treadmills, four bikes, a stair master, and every weight machine you could hope for. I haven't been in the small parks here but they are maintained and have benches to sit and relax. The parking garages are gated and never have they been left open. Recently however, one gate was driven into and the management sent out an email stating they were aware of the broken gate and it had been ordered and because it was custom made it would take 30 days. You can't blame them for that- but the gate was up and working in no time. I live on the top floor and have never had bugs in the apartment. I've seen a small roach or two dead in the hallway. If you have a clean household, you won't have bugs. But since the roaches just die in the hallway, it means the pest control there is working. Id recommend staying in a top floor place because the vaulted ceilings really make a difference. Overall, I have nothing but good to say. I know most people complain and I honestly don't know why. Gables Metropolitan is a great place to live. It has great management and the location is very nice. No other apartment is this well kept because before we got our current place, my husband and I looked at every apartment complex in the area within the same price range. Absolutely love it here!
