Emeryville is a small community right in the heart of the Bay Area, part of greater Oakland’s north side and sitting right at the foot of the Bay Bridge into San Francisco. The art scene thrives here, with hundreds of painters, musicians, and filmmakers working around town. Pixar has its headquarters in the middle of the city and serves as the Emeryville’s largest employer, so there’s a good chance of rubbing elbows with some extremely creative neighbors once you move to a rental in Emeryville.
The waterfront Bay Street Emeryville offers upscale shopping in a uniquely “main street” environment, while the Public Market offers a boutique dining experience with nearly a dozen specialty cafes under one roof.

Property Ratings at The Bridge at Emeryville
They don’t deserve any stars; If I could choose zero stars, I would. I don't even know where to begin. I had lived here for 3 years and it was an absolute nightmare. You may wonder why I even stayed for 3 years but due to personal reasons, it was the best option for me during the time period. But fortunately, was able to get out of there and find an alternative living situation given my determination to get out. Management is like a revolving door. The leasing team and manager had changed about 5-6 times during the 3 year period I was there. As I was leaving, they were in the process of getting new management as the previous manager left...again. Not only that, but the staff in the front office are as rude as can be and are extremely UNHELPFUL. They do not care about any issue and it shows. I waited to leave this review until I received my security deposit back and the check cleared out of fear of retaliation from the front office staff that they may continue to delay the refund process as they had been already. There was no response to any of my emails regarding moving out or my security deposit. I had to go into the office and confirm they received my move out papers and I had to diligently call the front office to get updates on the security deposit refund, which they tried to short me because they took out last month utility bill out of my total without notice and I had already paid it separately. My car was broken into twice, in their "safe and gated" garaging area. The first time, they made me file a police report in order to obtain video footage, just to lie and tell the police that my car wasn't in camera view. I went into the garage and found no less than 4 cameras that point in the direction of my car. I made them provide me with a new parking spot that is "in camera view". The second time my car was broken into, the front desk lady told me "Yep, same thing happened to me" and that was the extent of her advice. I spoke with many other residents, including three residents who had their WHOLE car stolen from the garage. Almost every day, I would walk outside and see car windows broken or tires stolen off of resident vehicles. Management never did one single thing to help remedy or make the residents feel safe. I increased my car insurance coverage and paid more per month out of fear my car would get stolen or damaged.
First of all if you live on the first floor good luck sleeping at night. You hear every little food step from the apartments up stairs. The windows are not sound proof whatsoever. You hear everything outside. No AC AND heating is terrible during the winter. The complex is so called gated but yet there’s always homeless in the parking garage loitering. Very unsafe area. Never any hot water between 2am and 6am if you work graveyards. It’s Cali your going to smell weed wherever you go but you don’t expect it to be stinking up your apartment 24/7.
I lived here for almost a year and it was a nightmare. Our mailboxes were regularly broken into and packages stolen while in the possession of the management office. Stay clear.
no complaint accepted. enter unit with no permission. worst neighbors. but nobody listen to the complaint ever. WORST WORST WORST WORST WORST WORST
First, the hot water turns off every two weeks and you can’t take a shower for hours! Second, the gate for the garage breaks down often and you can’t get in or out of the parking garage which is very inconvenient. Third, the apartments are mold infected they have poorly installed windows which makes the apartment extremely cold in the winter which will drive up the utility bill and, in the summer, it is extremely hot because there is no insulation. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out where the mildew smell was coming from the whole year that I lived here and once my husband moved his shoes (which he hardly wears) from out of the closet and from under the bed they had mold on it, damaging his shoes so I tried to find where the mold was originating from and it was coming from the windows. I was disgusted I couldn’t believe I had been living in a mold infected apartment for that long. It all made sense because I noticed that I became highly sick while living here and it was because of the mold. I would get bad headaches, coughing attacks, dizziness, and sinus infections. I have never in my life had these many health issue before moving here. Fourth, the grounds around the apartment are very dirty (please don’t let you pictures on their website fool you). The “upgrades” if that’s what you want to call it, are cheap quality and very basic so I wouldn’t call this luxury. They have rats running around due to all the homeless people around the apartments and right behind the Home Depot. Fifth, the walls and flooring in the apartments are paper thin probably because there’s no insulation. You can hear the people above stomping on the floor while walking and it can get very annoying. You can hear the slightest movement and sound from the neighbor above or below and can hear their conversations it’s ridiculous. It’s also very disgusting when you can hear your neighbors having sex, so if you have children I wouldn’t suggest living here. Also, when I did notify the office/maintenance about the moisture/mold issue, they didn’t take it seriously or take immediate action to clean or fix the issue. The maintenance guy just kept asking me stupid questions like do I ever open the windows. Honestly, if the windows were installed properly in the first place, I shouldn’t have to open my windows when it’s freezing cold outside or raining to not get mold in my apartment. I would highly avoid bridgecourt apartments, just a forewarning.
My partner and I came back from a two-week vacation and found that our rented apartment was broken into during our time away. There are lots of damage marks on the bottom of all the walls inside the apartment and the whole bathroom is left with only a toilet, the wall adjacent to the hallway is removed and the bath tub is left on the living room. Also, most of our stuff has been moved. The apartment is completely unlivable. The property management told us they entered our apartment to check whether there was roof leakage. But they did not give us any notice either email or text message about what they were going to do to our apartment and our belongings. We got evidence that there are several times of illegal access to our apartment and loss of property. We already called the policy and the police officer has filed a case for us. We are considering hire a lawyer to sue the management company.
Very good location, 1min walk to safeway and many fast fast food restaurant. The building is kinda old, the fitness room have only a bit equipment to use. The sauna is dirty, but the apartment comes with a public pool and jacuzzi. The one bedroom apartment is fairly small, the laundry room had to be used as storage room, so I had to use the public washing machine which.
I've been on a apartment search for a couple of months and i do have to say your apartments is the best one! I like the location. Next to the store and bart. When i came in for aapplication the lady's in the office was really nice.
