Property Ratings at Bridgeway Chattanooga Apartment Homes
Poor management.People in the office are unprofessional and uncourteous. Definitely wouldn’t recommend doing business with shady people like this.
Deceptive, underhanded dealings with the lease. Failure to take care of necessary repairs. Lots of sweet-talk to your face, but nothing actually gets done. Exorbitant cost for mediocre (at best) service.
The staff is wonderful to deal with. The service request are done in a timely manner. The landscaping is beautiful. I love living here. I moved in March of this year.
Do not live here. The hidden fees are awful and the staff will treat you poorly
Approved and paid my 300 deposit. Called the office before paying my deposit 9/7 and was told to do it before 48 hours, so i paid my deposit same day. However received a call 9/8 about the application fee and admin fee not processing due to simple bank mishap. Explained issue to leasing office and offered to bring a cashiers check or money order. Leasing office did not provide no assistance kept saying that they can only escalate if it is a certain issue. Complete Poor customer service. Would definitely not recommend
I lived here from 2015-2018. I moved in when they first opened and were owned by a local businessman. It was a great experience that first year...once the complex was sold to A.R. Building Co. that second year everything went downhill. Lots of useless fees were implemented, such as charging us $25 for a third party to come twice a week to carry residents trash from the units to the dumpster. I did not use the service because we lived so close to the dumpster. I could go on and on. I was were also charged $1,700 at moveout to replace the carpeting in the unit. My unit was ground level so it was all the laminate wood floor plan that only had carpet in 2 small bedrooms. It was the most costly apartment experience of my life.
The property manager is rude. AR Building will charge you for things that are not in your control. People are charged different pet rent (with no explanation why). You will be constantly lied to about things. Oh, and by the way, be careful, they offer gift cards for people to right “good” reviews.
It is a delight to have such a beautiful place to live in TN. I signed the lease unseen & it was better than my expectations. Staff is always helpful. Love the beautiful balcony , neighbors very friendly, awesome doggie park. 5 mins from the mall & 15 mins from downtown!!! Very nice location. 5 exits to 75 that gets you back to ATL fast & easy!!! I recommend.

I have been here 2.5 years. I love it. Easy distance to everything, lovely layout with two ponds, feels more like a house than an apartment. Really , really quiet!!! I will renew my lease.

I have lived in many different apartments since being in Chattanooga and Bridgeway has been the best experience thus far! All office staff are friendly and helpful when needed! Anytime I’ve needed something fixed, their maintenance workers are quick to help and always so pleasant! The grounds are kept in perfect condition and it’s always so quiet here. I would highly recommend anyone to live here!

I called to learn more about availability and the woman who answered was friendly at first. She asked me to hold on because someone walked into her office and said she was the only person working. Maybe she thought I was on hold? I heard her conversation with someone I’m assuming lived there. She sounded extremely rude and condescending raising her voice to the point of yelling; threatened to turn off the persons cable, internet and water if they didn’t bring her money by Friday. I hung up at that point. No interest in doing business with someone like that! Everyone do your research before moving here. Everything that glitters isn’t gold!
Avoid this apartment complex at all possible. We have lived in several different apartments in the past and this place is hands down the worse place ever. There are several different apartments in the Hamilton Place area that I would encourage everyone to visit instead of this place. Long story short, roughly $2800 for carpet replacement. Keep in mind we only lived there for 18 months and there were Zero stains that a "professional" carpet cleaner could not remove and $1500 to replace front door due to being vandalized. Including "late fees" due to the lack of ability to communicate with the office. Overall, absolutely the worse experience of our renting experiences and I hope that this review will save other renters from the same experience that we had.

We called about an apartment wanting to look on saturday. We was told that the office was closed on weekends. The manager said she would come in and show my family the apartment. When we arrived she was there waiting for us. I was shocked to see that someone would come in on a weekend to show an apartment to people that she didn't know. I believe her name is Audrey. This is a beautiful property and well kept. If you are looking for an apartment go see the manager she worked with us on her day off so we could find a home that we really like. We will be applying for this apartment. We really loved the pool and dog park.
I have been looking for a while for an apartment been to several locations and finally stumbled there. I was greeted by Sabrina and then talked to the Manager Audrey they both was very sweet and kind to us. They treated us like family , but the other lady in the office was very rude. We hope We don’t have to deal with her, that could be a deal breaker for us. We was looking for a one bedroom. Sabrina was a ray of sunshine a smiling face to see as we walk through the door. That’s the way people are supposed to be treated and the manager came out of her office just to welcome us, you don’t see that enough now a days. I told them I was leaving reviews because they was so great.

We drove in today from out of town to tour Six Apartment homes. The first was a nightmare and nothing was as promised. The next two people to show us around were extremely rude. We were discouraged and exhausted. Then it all changed. We saw Bridgeway off the beaten path, we walked in and the lady took us on a tour and we had never felt so welcome. She showed us all around and answered all of our questions, she even showed us great ideas to arrange our furniture. Thank you Nichole for making a terrible day better, but mainly thank you for finding us our new home. I can’t thank you enough.
I met the new manager today , she was so pleasant to talk with. I believe they finally got someone in there that might know how to manage this complex. I seen her out walking the property first time I have seen management on the property in years. Hoping she stays around for many years. She seems very friendly but very knowledgeable of how things should be ran.
I wish I could give a ZERO rating! The apartments are nice, but this is the WORST management company I’ve ever dealt with! All the reviews are true. I lived at Bridgeway for 4.5 years. Upon move out I received a bill for $2,500, most of which was to replace carpet “b/c pet urine stains were found under the carpet.” A pet deposit as well as an assurance deposit was made at move-in. None of this was applied to the balance. Most apartment complexes replace the carpet after 5 years, so why are they charging tenants for replacing carpet that they should be replacing. I lived on the 1st floor, so I only had carpet in 2 bedrooms. The flooring in the rest of the apartment was vinyl, and the carpet was cheap builders’ grade. Read you lease VERY carefully. STAY AWAY!

Please, I’m warning you, do not lease from these people. I lost my job and had to break my lease and move out two months early. After I was gone they mailed an invoice for nine thousand dollars. Over three thousand of that was for carpet replacement. They will not work with you.i never.once missed a payment. Corporate office may as well be a robot. I always get sent to voicemail. Talk to people before you move in. You do not want to live here.
I have lived here 4 months and I totally regret signing a lease here. The office staff are rude an unhelpful I had a issue with damage to my car that they stated they would pay for an then came back to me An said I needed to contact another party. Their is always dog waste on side walks An some people leave the waste on their balcony which leaves smells in the air. The apartments are over priced An really not worth the rent. Do not let the office people trick you into signing a lease.
I am writing this because I feel my neighbors and prospective tenants need to know this. I have not personally witnessed this but neighbors have said there have been instances of doors being kicked in, doorhandles shaken to see if they are unlocked. There are no security gates, so anyone and everyone can come inside the property. I have never seen a member of management outside the office to check on the condition of the property. People leave trash on their balconies for weeks. The grounds look horrible with cigarette butts thrown off the balconies and not picked up. There is virtually no grass in the common area. They are never open before or after a normal person leaves or gets home from work and never on Saturday. You must email to address concerns or take time away from your job to speak in person. I love the location and the apartment itself, but they are not worth the high rent that is being charged. I don't think they are insulated well because the power bill is always high and we can constantly hear neighbors stomping around upstairs or in the hallways. Do yourself a favor and research before signing a lease here.
Dishonest is a word that describes Bridgeway Chattanooga Apartments and their corporate owner A.R. Building Company. They left us with $900 of fees upon moving out and allowed us no realistic way to dispute it. The Bridgeway office management claims to not be able to change the account balance and says concerns must be relayed to their corporate office, but by letter only. They refused to give us a contact phone number or email for A.R. Building Company. Sounds like the actions of a shady company. When moving into Bridgeway, they used "Sure Deposit" rather than a security deposit. I requested to do a security deposit instead but it was not allowed. I have had to rent for the past 13 years and only once did I not receive my full security deposit back. The "Sure Deposit" is a one time, greater than $200 charge that is basically insurance for the apartment complex against you not paying for everything. You don't get it back when you move out and it doesn't go toward any charges that they may place on you. The apartment complex may appear nice at first, but it is not worth the risk. A lot of the annoyances at Bridgeway are not unique to Bridgeway, but actually a reality of apartment living. The dishonest management; however, is unique to Bridgeway. I cannot recommend living in this complex.
Fairly expensive place for what you get. It seems peaceful upon first checking it out... but there are a decent number of residents who are college age and will party a lot. The noise insulation of the apartments is minimal. The most frustrating thing about the place is the smoking... unless you smoke as well. The balconies are a great space, but it seems that more than half of the people smoke and you can barely sit outside enjoying fresh air. It could be 70 degrees outside, but you cannot open your windows because smoke will float right into your apartment from your neighbors. I would not recommend this apartment to nonsmokers.
Then move here. Want higher energy bills because you can't open your windows due to wafting smoke from neighbors into your apartment? Move here. Want to look at your porch outside but not actually use it because there's too much smoking going on all around you? Then move here.
Way over rated, Cheap appliances: Washer-no hot water; Microwave-to high, dangerous to operate; Oven-not self cleaning! Exterior doors don't seal. Management controls your water bill (???). Noise is horrible between apt's, little to no insulation. Dog stations aren't emptied until overflowing the stench is unbearable in the summer. Management never leave the office to monitor and oversee the complex. Please look at other complexes, you don't want to waste your money here. I agree with smoking problem too.
Live here if you smoke. Don't risk it if you can't stand it. You can't get away from the high percentage of people who chain smoke on their balconies. You can't even open up your windows for some fresh air.
