Located south of Detroit and about an hour north of Toledo is the city of Flat Rock. Thanks to its great location, along with Interstate 75 and the Telegraph Road running through the city, access to the surrounding areas is made easy.
Flat Rock is bordered by the Huron River and a favorite activity among residents is taking a trip to Huroc Park, a small island park located in the river. There are several other inland parks available to Flat Rock residents like the Civic Center Park and the Thomas Simpson Park. Another favorite activity among children and adults is the Flat Rock Model Train Depot and Museum. Because of this city’s great location, other activities are easily accessible to residents, like the beaches of Lake Erie and the Flat Rock Motor Speedway.

Property Ratings at Bridgewood Apartments
Management is the worse. They send letters about any little thing they can complain about. Things such as we can’t have specific things in the balcony such as fake plants since they fall because of the wind. Can’t decorate a certain way. They say we are breaking the lease even though nothing’s of that sort is on the lease we signed. Will never lease here again.
Bridgewood Apartments has been the best experience thus far, I have no serious complaints. The staff are super friendly and most helpful... anytime I have submitted a maintence request, I have received a prompt response literally less than 20 minutes. Whether it was plumbing or electrical work. Mark, Tom, and Katie gave me excellence and they were very professional in all that they do. I have also extended my lease for another year, before my 1st year even expired in July 2024. Ginger (manager) has been awesome very knowledgeable and professional, yes, she is a little feisty, but I love it because she is passionate in what she does. Ginger is the right leasing manager for this property with her sidekick Lisa. Lisa has been more than helpful with the move in experience and current experience. I got the pleasure in meeting Alisha (NY Properties Manager) whom seems to be down to earth, I explained to her that I wanted as far as a playground hopefully that will come about soon. My neighbors are wonderful no complaints in my unit. The property in my opinion has been well kept and cleaned daily. Landscape and seems to be updated through out the year. Snowplowing as best as they can with all the cars in the lot. Trash is picked up 2x or more a week. Overall, I would recommend potential renters to move in this complex. Oh, how I love that this is a family friendly apartment. The food trucks and other activities. I love the birthday cards from the staff and all the holiday activities. (popcorn day, pie day, traditional holidays, etc.…)
This Apartment is trash. The walls are beyond thin, Management has no clue to run the property and will pin blames on you if you file a complaint. Unless you are truly desperate don't move here. Village green in south gate is around the same price and walls are thicker.
If I could give less then 1 Star I absolutely would beehives in gutters and haven’t seen anyone out in weeks. No parking, some cars don’t move for days sometimes weeks. Was talking to completely unprofessional by every level of management and they shared personal information with another person when I’m the only leaseholder. They will not compensate nor do anything to improve problems. Maintenance couldn’t fix anything right even with the directions. This place is awful and completely unprofessional all they care about is that you paid them not about your problems with the building or issues within your apartment.
I don’t know how people saying these bad reviews. Been here for 3 years now . It’s really nice clean quiet place maintenance is right on time every time also for the most part people living here are quite . Have not have any issues since I been here would recommend to anyone for sure
Not the worst place to live initially. Stink bug infestation to start. Then into the 2nd year MICE! If you don't mind rodents and bugs, by all means have at it. I had to leave after learning Fieval was running rampant. Ginger in the office is rude, but most people in apartment leasing offices are when they have never ending complaints.
We moved into our apartment and it hadn't been cleaned at all so we had to do that. They slow poke with getting maintenance done and didn't do their due diligence when they inspected it before we moved so we had a lot of things broken and not working. The management don't seem that know anything when I ask questions so that's annoying. It's decent for the price but I don't plan on staying long. if you're just looking for a place to find a better place....look no further here it is.
i couldn’t even give you a rate because my rate will be as negative as it could get. my ac doesn’t work they came in and tried to fix it and of course it doesn’t work, my sink won’t go all the way down and it’s connected to my dishwasher which doesn’t work because all the water keeps flowing out. my neighbors disrespect me and my boyfriend. you think it’s cheap and easily moved in, DONT TRUST SOMETHING IF ITS CHEAP. you get what you pay for !! i can’t wait until my lease is up.
I have lived at Bridgewood Apartments for about a year and never had any problems. The management team are very friendly and helpful, the tenants are friendly and thoughtful, when you have a maintenance issue it's taking care within 24 hrs. on top of all that the area is very safe. I really have no complaints about Bridgewood Apartments and if I will have any issue with the management or the tenants I will discuss the issue with them first. I would recommend Bridgewood Apartments to others. I am writing this review because it's the honest truth.
Lived at Bridgewood for 4 years...Rent went up a little first few years, but last 2 years went up quite a bit without any updates or improvements. Half of the parking lot was paved 2 years ago, but they could not afford to finish it all. They said next year, it's going on 3 years. There is no security. Half of the walkway lights are not working. The lights in my building would not work at least a week a month. I work nights, and with no security to get in the building it made me uncomfortable. If you enjoy sitting by the pool you can, but the chairs are all chained down and can't be moved. The buildings are old, and you can hear everything, and I mean everything. Windows and doorwalls leak and need to be replaced. Had mine repaired 3 times and they still leaked when it rained. When i moved in, the management would walk property, wave hello, nice customer service. That has gone away. You are your rent and that's it. Also they nit pick everything when you move in and out. If you decide to move in, then take pictures of everything, because if you protest your security deposit they threaten you with court. Gotta say one year rentals only, no long term because they don't display any kind of loyalty toward you.
I lived at Bridgewood Apartments for a 15 month period. I was very pleased with the experience and my apartment. My apartment, a second-floor, two bedroom unit, was very nice, very quiet, and I had wonderful neighbours for the most part. I felt safe in the surroundings, and the natural beauty of the area really enhanced the living experience. The office staff at the time of my departure (November 2015) were very helpful and responsive. I would recommend this property to others.
I have had NO HOT WATER since yesterday..I called at 9 a.m.this morning to report it and I was told the maintenances was attending to the grounds and will get to my hot water issue when they can...Are you seriously? iT IS 10:50A.M. now and still nothing...I keep calling but now it goes to voicemail. I dont believe I will be renewing my lease.
The management at these apartment do not care about their residents at all. They hired a company to replace the carpet in the apartment above me at 10:30pm. They did not finish until close to midnight while my 7 year old was trying to sleep. I called the emergency hotline and all they could tell me was that I needed to contact the local police. Even though they were the ones that hired them. Why couldn't they call them and tell them to leave? I spoke to the management the next day and all they could say is I'm sorry. That was after I had to call them back since nobody contacted me. WORST PLACE to live by far and I will be moving out as soon as I possibly can. They also jack up your rates on a yearly basis by upward of $50/year.
I wouldn't recommend these apartments to my worse enemy. Firstly everything is falling apart, i should of knew when on moving day before signing papers we weren't allow to see the apartment before signing. The office staff is very rude and others have also reported feeling as if they talk down to their residents. One morning I heard someone up by my patio (the one good luxury this place offers) and the manager and housekeepers were out there taking patio furniture and throwing it in the back of a van to throw out. Their reason behind it was anything not on the patio concrete block is on their property and without notice were taking it because the owner of the apartment buildings was doing an inspection. This is the only time you ever see any of them at work. I could go on for days but I don't think I have enough characters to finish, this is how shady these apartments are.. I pay my rent on time and I feel as if I am I good resident but they treat you like dirt here. My last thought of review is please read all review about this complex before making any decision, as for me I am truly happy my lease is up in October and I do not have to spend another freezing winter in these horribly insulated places or another summer of bugs crawling out of the walls.

I moved here on a last minute thing. What appealed to me was it was cheap rent and I'm a full time college student with limited income. I guess you really get what you pay for. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing, if someone flushes the toilet, you hear it. Someone's phone rings? You hear it. The residents were always smoking weed and making the hallways smell disgusting. And my neighbor below me was a cranky old lady who would call management whenever I walked across my floor "too loud". Again, you get what you pay for.
