Property Ratings at Brighton Court
Brighton Court Apartments in what was once the headquarters of the Lehigh Valley Railroad are beautiful, high-ceilinged dwellings with a ton of charm. Every apartment in the building (there are 32 or so) is slightly different. Maintenance services are quick to respond and very helpful. A few things to know before you move in: while the high ceilings are great, they can mean high electric bills for heat in winter if you don't keep a careful eye on the thermostat. Also, the building is immediately adjacent to the railroad tracks, which means that you'll get an earful of the passing freight trains blowing their horns several times a day. You can only use one cable/internet service (Service Electric). Also, Brighton St. is a one-way street that can only be accessed directly from 378 South. Nonetheless, the apartments in the Lehigh Valley Railroad Building are an excellent example of updated vintage living and an excellent value for the money.
For Brighton Court to be the first place that I was paying rent without the help of my parents, it has been an actual dream. It is affordable and very well kept with several upgrades in my two years there. It's quiet, yet an easy, 10 minute walk to both the North and South side of Bethlehem...making my place an ideal spot for my friends to hang out at. And let me say that they love my apartment and new visitor's always gush over it. The only complaint I have is that the only outdoor space is a shady courtyard. It's beautiful, but I would love to have my own sunny space. Seriously though, other than that the service has been great and Brighton Court has lived up to all of my expectations!
