True to its name, Bull Mountain is named for the hill it’s located on. This Washington County community is nestled along Southwest Pacific Highway, connecting the neighborhood to Portland, located just 11 miles away. Residents enjoy living so close to this buzzing city, while still appreciating Bull Mountain’s sense of small-town charm. Big-box stores, local restaurants, grocers, casual dining options, and more surround the community, but the majority of Bull Mountain is residential. This park-like neighborhood is very wooded, and locals enjoy city parks like Bull Mountain Park and nearby destinations like Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. Nature trails, a visitor center, and more await at this nature preserve. Upscale homes line Bull Mountain’s verdant streets, and renters have a wide selection of luxury apartments to choose from.

Property Ratings at Brightwaters at Redhawk
I have been unfortunate enough to be stuck living here the last 6 years and I can’t wait until we can afford to leave. Hope you enjoy parking your car all the way down the street constantly because they let cars that aren’t being used camp out in the free spots for 5+ days. To get one private spot, we had to wait for well over a year. They also let big commercial vehicles that people use for work take up free parking spots. They have a huge problem with unattended children treating the parking lot like a playground, and don’t bother to tell the parents to watch their kids. There are constantly children’s toys dumped everywhere in the complex and unattended 3 year olds walking around. When I called them to tell them there were kids running in front of moving cars, they told me there was nothing they could do about it unless I tracked down what apartment they were coming from. Maintenance requests also take forever. Avoid this place if you have other options, it has gone downhill over the years and no one seems to care.
I have lived in these apartments for just over two years now and they have been great. I have one of the two story townhouses which is on the second story of the buildings and it's a lovely and spacious living space. If you get one of the smaller apartments and live on the first floor though then you will have the advantage of having the large yard area to come out to on your back porch but if you live in the townhouse then you still get a nice patio big enough to comfortably sit three people along with a sizable outside storage closet. Maintenance is great about coming to quickly address issues which does happen sometimes since the buildings are a little older. The office has very friendly staff who are always happy to answer questions and they do have a pool and playground that are serviced before the summertime so that the many kids in the complex are able to enjoy them. The bedrooms are a fair size, not incredibly large but definitely big enough to comfortably sleep a couple, and there is a ton of storage space in both bedrooms as well as in the downstairs area. The only real problems that I have run into are the emergency number is circular and not very helpful, when we first moved in they had fixed up the apartment and apparently one of the pipes wasn't tightened correctly so we had a leak in the roof, an easy fix that they quickly addressed once the office was open but when we called the emergency number that they list in their answering machine message upon first noticing the leak at night it simply redirects you to call their main number again. I asked them about this and I believe that they addressed that issue but I haven't tried calling again so I'm unsure. The only other issue I really run into is the spiders. This complex is quite infested with spiders. That sounds horrible but they aren't inside the homes as much as they are just everywhere outside. Again, when I brought this up to them that I could not utilize my patio space due to spiders and some of the spiders were finding their way inside they were very on top of it and let me know they had hired a pest control service to spray the apartments and that they could come into my unit to spray if I wanted. I agreed that I did but no one ever came inside my apartment to spray, they just sprayed outside. That being said, it made no change in the number of spiders around outside. That is truly my only real complaint about the apartments though.
My wife and I lived here from 2009 until recently when we had to relocate for work. Maintenance was always responsive and the management and leasing were courteous and friendly. If we ever move back to Tigard we will definitely look here first.
The previous female manager was always around, helpful and appeared to be a full-time employee however the current manager is NEVER available. He doesn't return phone calls and is NEVER available in the afternoon. We guess he's part-time? A maintenance guy on property (very nice dude) told me that the guy no longer lives at the complex and leaves early everyday just so he can keep from getting stuck in traffic. Doesn't seem very professional like the previous manager. We have to renew a lease soon but not sure if we should stay. Too bad because we hate moving. : /
I just moved into Portland for a job change, and I was really sad to leave this place. I rented here for 8 years and through that time had the same management company. When the old managers left, they promoted the assistant, so it was really nice having long term employees running things. The grounds were always really nice. Parking was pretty bad so I rented a garage for convenience. If I had friends over, they usually parked on 108th and it wasn't too long a walk. The rents were always reasonable and they never hit us with crazy increases. All in all a good suburban apartment that is close to lots of cool places.
Great place to call home. Great layout in our town home. Parking is a little tight if you don't have a paid space but it's a smaller community and pretty quiet. Non smoking buildings and starting in 2016 it will be 100% smoke free. We've been here for a few years and have enjoyed it. It's a very laid back place.
Brightwaters is positioned perfectly! You're close enough to the city but far enough from it to enjoy the exquisite suburban landscape that is Tigard. An exquisite marriage between the residential and the commercial, is complimented by the ease of commute to and from Portland via train or bus. With schools, colleges, shopping, and hospitals close by, it is the perfect location. The complex provides amenities such as a pool, clubhouse, and gym, and is well maintained by an extraordinary staff. One can have your fill of the city and retreat to your little slice of heaven after.
