Property Ratings at The Brittany Apartments
Do NOT move to The Brittany!! The plumbing in the buildings is very old galvanized pipes (per maintenance) and there are water leaks and plumbing issues all throughout the community. The maintenance team is very short staffed so any issues that you have take FOREVER to fix, if ever, even emergencies! I was without the use of my bathroom for 3 weeks. It took 22 days for them to finally come back and replace the drywall in the bathroom but the actual leak was NEVER fixed. The contractors refused to replace the drywall 3 times because they witnessed the active leak but on the 4th visit the man explained that he was instructed to seal the hole regardless. The problem with mold and mildew will continue and the property management does not care at all!! Ive had 2 regional managers Laura and Bobby come out to personally inspect it. They apologized of course, but the problem was never actually fixed. Ive placed calls and sent certified letters to Apartment Services regional office and have yet to get a returned call because they do not care about their tenants. Unless you like living with sewage leaks, mold mildew and insects, a rude property manager,a 2 man maintenance crew, and a non responsive regional management team DO NOT MOVE HERE!! Heed the negative reviews and move somewhere else that is not managed by Apartment Services. Christina please do not reply to this review with your geneneric template response. Return my phone calls.

I am sorry that we have not accomplished this goal for you. I encourage you to contact me directly at 410-683-7000 for further discussion of your concerns. I look forward to assisting you. Robin M.
This might not be the place for you to move. Maintenance seems to be stretched so thin that major repair issue are not addressed timely. In the last week the following has happen: 1) toilets backed up releasing raw sewage into bathrooms 2) Air Conditioner drainage clogged leading to Mold on living room wall, and 3) Motor in dryer died. Resolution to these problems: 1) Toilet fixed but water damage to carpet, floors and baseboards not fixed. 2.) Part of wall with Mold has be removed but wall not fixed. Large hole remains in wall. 3.) Dryer remains broken Office staff appear to not care or maybe they are overworked. They don’t seem to understand that while The Brittany is where they work, but as a tenant it is where you live. I cannot wait until my lease is up. Note: My experience might not be typical. However, you might want to look elsewhere for you not home.

Thank you for taking the time to review our community. As management, we take all comments, positive and negative, very seriously. I invite you to contact me personally to discuss your particular experience, so that a proper investigation into the issue may take place. I can be reached at 410-683-7000. Perhaps, with better understanding, we can change your mind about our community.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. The leasing manager is incompetent. She is not aware of her own Brittany's termination policy, and ended up misinforming us which led to us being charged more money than we were led to believe. Do not live here. If you do, make sure you read your contract. These guys will bleed every penny out of you for substandard living.

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with your move out charges. If you would like to discuss your situation in more detail and offer suggestions for improvement, please reach out to us at 410-683-7000 Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Roxie B. Community Liaison
Please think twice about renting here!!! First off, if you’re on the 3rd floor (which we were) you will bake during the summer time. The AC units were probably put in in the 1930s because they are so old and terrible. We had a one bedroom apt and our BGE bill was in the hundreds because our apartment didn’t cool down and the ac was always running! Then get this: we break our contract and leave, they charge us two months rent for breaking the lease (which, honestly, was totally worth getting out of that hellhole) BUT NOW... 7 months LATER, we get a notice from a debt collector that we owe them money for 2 weeks rent in October!! Mind you, we left in July so we didn’t even live there at that time! Apparently we are being chased by collectors for a debt that doesn’t even belong to us. And to add icing to the already disgusting cake, they never NOT ONCE contacted us regarding this “debt” with an explanation, and went straight to the debt collectors instead. Who does business this way? Extremely disappointed and upset. Please please stay away, the headache is not worth dealing with the leasing office and the parent company.
