Property Ratings at Brittany Commons Apartments
During my short stay at BC, I never had any complaints, the apartments was clean and move in ready. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Any maintenance issues were addressed that day. The office staff were friendly and kind and so were the maintenance guys. They had lots of resident appreciation days where they were giving out breakfast at the gate. Cook outs for the residents and wine nights. The community is up to par. Besides the trash shoot going out sometimes they made sure to get a big dumpster to accommodate the trash. If I weren’t relocating I’d stay here longer. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking in the Spotsylvania area.

We're so happy to hear that! Thank you for your five-star review of Brittany Commons!
I have lived here for three years and I absolutely love it. There are a lot of trails and areas to walk around outside. It is also very dog friendly. The office staff is awesome, they are all very nice and helpful. They often put on fun events for the residents that are usually free. The maintenance workers respond to requests usually within a couple days and are also quick and efficient. It's really a great place to live!

Emily, thank you for sharing how wonderful our maintenance team is and how happy you are with our community! We appreciate the kind words and will be sure to pass along your compliments. While we are still taking an extra bit of precautions during this time, we are doing all we can to be there for our residents, so please do not hesitate to give us a call if we can assist with questions or concerns, your comfort is important to us!
I moved in a week ago. There were multiple items I had to put a work order in for that should have been part of the inspection to make sure the apartment is ready for someone new. There are still items that are not fixed. The office doesn’t seem to care. The maintenance people don’t show up when they say they will. I wish I had chosen somewhere else to live.
I stupidly signed a 18 months lease, and hoping the next few months goes by fast. I love my actual apartment, but the staffing office is so rude. Their business hours are 10-6, so if you work 12 hr shifts they aren’t opened when you are home. Then since all packages get delivered to office they get mad when you don’t pickup your packages fast. I’ve explained multiple times I work 12 hr nights and sleep during the day, but they don’t care. Then you get rude messages left about them getting sick of taking my packages. I’ve lived at a lot of apartments and have never had to deal with staff this rude. I can’t wait until I can move out in a few months.

We understand that it can be hard to come into the office to pick up your package after leaving a 12-hour shift. For that reason, our office is open 7 days a week and allow residents up to 2 months to pick up their packages. To make sure that packages don’t get forgotten, we provide a courtesy call to our residents. We of course care about your comfort and understand your situation, but we do want to make sure you receive your mail. We hope this won't terribly hinder your overall experience. Thank you!
Trust me, you don't want to live here. Since we moved into the apartment complex in December my 3 year old son has been sick literally every other week. After two doctors visits, and two rounds of antibiotics, my fiancé opened our air conditioning unit to check the filter. It was full of mold. Not only that, but instead of replacing the filter with another one that was the proper size they had simply folded a larger one to fit. Wish I was joking. And when I called to complain I had to leave 8 ANGRY voice mails before someone finally returned my calls. Their response? No apology, no acknowledge that they had done anything wrong, nothing. I have been trying to get out of my lease since that moment. Seriously, moms out there, if you love your babies, give them a home with clean safe air for them to breath. Seriously a box under a bridge would be better than this.
I used to love Brittany commons. The place is nice and clean and has clean pools. They aren't open very long hours but it is clean. My only problem here is the staff, although friendly, not helpful. I moved into an apartment the previous buyers turned down, I should've asked more questions. The people who live above us are terrors. Constantly stomping around and jumping off things way into the late night and early morning, like 430-5am. I've sent several emails to Brittany commons and have even spoke face to face with them. Their solution? Move ME, not to problem house, or have ME pay 5,000 dollars to break the lease so my family can finally get some sleep. Seems fair....... Really disappointed with how they have handled this sotuation. Meanwhile, my two year old gets no sleep at night and hardly gets naps, while the family upstairs has a continuous family reunion party upstairs and might even have a bowling alley up there.
I have lived at Brittany Commons for two years and have always loved living here. The office staff is always polite and courteous, the maintenance staff is very friendly and quickly resolves any issues. The grounds are kept clean and beautifully maintained year round. There are a lot of activities for residents throughout the year as well as plenty of amenities. It has been so peaceful and quiet, I never hear my neighbors through the walls or floors. The apartments are very nice with crown molding, chair rail molding, vaulted ceilings, French doors, full size washer and dryer, soaking tub in 2nd bath, spacious open floor plans. They are so much nicer than typical apartments. Love it!!!
Brittany commons is a great apartment to rent at if you have pets, but if your like me not a pet lover not so great. Over all the apartment itself is very open and has a lot of room/ storage for you . It has a beautiful fire place and when the sun comes out its very bright in the apartment. The community it's self is very friendly as well & the people at the office is always willing to help. I would definitely recommend it if your looking for a place.
I have lived in these apartments for almost 8 months now. They are wonderful i couldn't of asked for better!!! The staff is always great to work with and when I have a problem they get on is slappy snappy!!
Our apartment is the most spacious one I've ever lived in. My terrace looks out into nature and I spend time there everyday. Tons of storage, beautiful huge kitchen, very large bathrooms, good size laundry area. I love everything about our apartment and recommend it highly. Very happy resident.
Thiese apartments are wonderful! The community is gated and makes it feel safe and protected. The area is nice and quiet and has some wonderful nature trails and plenty of places to walk dogs (including a small "dog park" that is fenced in). The staff are so easy to work with and happy to help in any way they can. My roommate and I had an after hours emergency maintenance request and they got to our apartment very quickly to solve the problem. The apartments also have washer and dryer in the unit which is so convinient! The landscaping is also very pretty and they keep up with it well. Overall I have no complaints!
Without a doubt this is the best apartment I've been a tenant in. Safe and comforting community, quick and effective maintenance staff, and I've certainly never had a problem with anyone in the office. The most pressing problem I've ever had was my heating system broke and wasn't working for 3 days, but the maintenance team gave me two heaters to keep the apartment warm until after the weekend when they could get the part they needed to repair it. My lease is up in 2 months and I will be seeing the office about signing another year-long lease for a smaller apartment.
The only thing the staff is certain to do is collect the rent check each month. Otherwise one has to hound them for the simplest problem to be corrected. They are rude, lie easily/often, avoid, ignore the residents until in disgust they move out. Seems turnover is the main goal for them. Why?

Dear Jackie, I am sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the leasing staff. My name is Adina and I am the new property manager at the community. This is uncharacteristic of our staff as we pride ourselves in great customer service to our residents. It seems that there may have been an unresolved issue and I would like to have the opportunity to speak with you about this. Please call or visit me at the leasing office so that we can find a solution if the issue has not been resolved yet. I appreciate your feedback. Respectfully, Adina A. (Property Manager)
