Property Ratings at Brittany Square
Good evening. Me and my family was coming out of California to start our new life in texas. We rented a apartment here thinking that it was a great price for this apartment, let's rent it. My husband was the frist to see it and when he told me that it had roaches I was very mad. He also said that the apartment was not clean at all. Stove nasty, bathroom, floor etc. We end up moving back to California. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE NASTY APPARTMENTS AT ALL.
If you're in a financially tight spot, this place might just be a step up from some homeless shelters, though I'd hesitate to call it a genuine improvement. It's a real adventure, with a thriving community of amateur kleptomaniacs, car burglaries, and a management team that might as well be sharing a single brain cell. I can't wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone, but if you have a peculiar affinity for apartments that double as indoor swimming pools due to incessant leaks, and you enjoy the companionship of roaches, then you've struck gold. The enchanting 5-star reviews, likely handcrafted by the ever-optimistic staff, should pique your curiosity enough to give it a look-see. And don't fret about the gates; they're perpetually in a state of disrepair, offering you a hassle-free drive-in experience. As for the decor, it's a nostalgic trip to a bygone era that hasn't seen an update in centuries. The pool? Well, it's an acquired taste, and by 'taste,' I mean a gag-worthy cesspool of questionable fluids. And the kids' playground? Let's just say it's been in hibernation since last year, leaving behind a serene, untouched sand field that could inspire some deep philosophical contemplation.
Staff is horrible! They lock the doors to the office always and NEVER answer the phones! The property looks nothing like the pictures. There is always trash over flowing the dumpster. Do not lease here if coming from out of town!!
Just visited Brittany Square and was very impressed with their service. I will definitely keep them in mind. The tour was really nice and the staff super friendly and knowledgeable.
Love it here, is a great place to have children here. The staff is very friendly.
My Husband and I moved to Houston for the first time and chose Brittany Square as our first home to live with our one month old baby and our dog. It wouldn’t long until we saw nothing but roaches EVERYWHERE. Big and small. You couldn’t turn around with out seeing them. It was bad, spraying once a week wasn’t getting rid of them. The last straw was seeing baby roaches on my baby’s bottle. Oh, the apt was also infested with fleas which my dog picked up. My dog NEVER had fleas until moving there. They were in our bed and couches. The tub felt like it was going to cave in the floor (creaky) and the living room floor wasn’t leveled. How? Thank God my husband had military orders or we would’ve been stuck. Just old and nasty. I’ve warned you.
I rented an apartment here and was shown a different unit than the one I was going to rent. I didn’t get the keys to view the apartment until the date they gave me to move in. The entire place was infested with roaches, even the bedrooms. I cancelled my lease and they refused to refund my deposit. They’re awful.
Do not move here unless you’re want to live with bats, roaches and ants!!!!! They charge for pest control but never come spray apts! Maintenance is a joke only thing they focus on is trash on the ground. Dumpsters are constantly over flowing!!! MOVE IN AT YOUR OWN RISK
I wish there was a negative cuz they deserve that.... office manager only cares about her commission Worst place to live at.
I live here for awhile and there's stuff in these apartments that are broken and there roaches they told me on Thursday pest control was going to come never did everything they told me they were were going to get done still hasn't gotten done they should of gotten a rid of these roaches before we moved in and signed the lease if I would of known they we not going to at least do there job I would of never lived here and Im giving zero reviews cuz they tell u there going to get things done but dnt get nothing done
I'm not one to write reviews, but if i feel as though I need to warn at least 1 new renter. When I first moved in, this was the apartment of my dreams. Well, for my first apartment anyways. The ladies at the office were very sweet, and told me everything I wanted to hear, and somehow managed to convince me that even though I couldn't see the apt, it was going to be beautiful and remodeled and finished by my move in date. On that date, they were still working on it. Somehow, 1 month later. But, like a gullible dummy, I had already payed the deposit and first months rent. At first, it was beautiful, I even recommended it to my friends! But we started t notice that there were lot of thing wrong with it. These things were immediately taken to the office, THE NEXT DAY. Here we are, May 28th and the office was too worried about getting off for their holiday weekend, that they didnt bother making sure my things were taken care of, 3 months LATER. It has always been some sort of excuse or dumb reason why my issues haven't been addressed. I was sold an incomplete apartment, I guess for the paycheck? Regardless, it has been a nightmare. The ONLY reason im giving it 2/5 stars is because the community is so quiet and calm, the outside is beautiful, and aside from the issues, we have a beautiful apartment. But, unfortunately, the bad is outweighing the good and I cannot wait until my lease is up in December. If you are a new renter, PLEASE BEWARE! They WILL lie and take advantage of your lack of knowledge to pull one over you. PLEASE make sure you look at the apartment you're paying for, regardless what the "nice ladies" at the office tell you. DO NOT make the mistake I made.
I should have listened to the other reviews before moving in lol. Where to begin with my review? 1) Roach infestation 2) Wasps get into your apartment (I remember killing 5 within 2 hours) 3) Neighbors are LOUD, OBNOXIOUS and RUDE 4) Neighbors let their kids play football where the cars are parked and don't care if their kids' football hits and dents your car 5) Carpets are FILTHY and sticky (my fiancé steam cleaned TWICE and black water came up every time) 6) Hot water lasts about 20 minutes (if you're lucky, so take a quick shower unless you like cold water) 7) Parking is AWFUL (not to mention people don't know how to park in this complex) 8) Toilets get clogged out of nowhere and almost overflow 9) Doesn't come with microwave or washer and dryer 10) When you cook, you'll have to open a window because the vent above the stove SUCKS. I could go on and on about this apartment complex. These are just some of the few things I've dealt with over the past 7 months! So if any of these fit your requirements for a new apartment, I suggest Brittany Square Apartments is for you!
Iv lived here now for 5 yrs and since my stay here Iv seen 2 managers. This new one has taken this property to another level. I mean the security here for kids has improved by 95%. The updates here has improved. I wish i can stay longer but my job hasmoved offices so i must travel to austin. Thank you for a good stay
