Britton Woods Apartments

This is the worst complex I have ever lived in. Management are the worst people I have ever dealt with and don't know how they still have a job. Don't expect maintenance to help with anything either and when you complain you will be told that you are harassing them. They go against your lease which has now made me get a lawyer. Save your time, money, and health and don't even look here.

Management at Britton Woods is always polite, professional and very helpful. The grounds are well kept.

They didn’t let us see our apartment before signing the lease. We moved in to very old carpet, and old and messed up cabinets and bathrooms. They charged us $300 to fix a problem we didn’t cause in the bathroom. Maintenance takes forever even with emergencies. Our front door has had problems almost 10 times now, they give temporary fixes that break within the week! There is ALWAYS dog poop in the grass, and if your pipes freeze in the winter, you end up with no heat, too! Inhumane conditions to live in, do not waste your time and money!!!

The neighborhood is wonderful and I really liked how well the property was taken care of. They were very short staffed for a while so some issues were taking longer than normal but I think they did the best they could.

I’ve been waiting over a month and a half to get my washer fixed. 2 weeks ago when I talked to them about it they promised me someone would be out that day. When I called them about it a couple days ago Rick just told me people have been waiting way longer to get things fixed, which he must be so proud of. My advise is to go to literally any other apartment and you’ll be much happier I know I would be.

It’s been 3 weeks since I moved in and my toilet is still needing fixed. I moved into this apartment that had a broken cabinet and shower curtain rod in addition to the toilet that wasn’t fixed. I also had a 6 inch red ink stain in the middle of my carpet and white paint on my floor from where they touched up the trim. When I brought these issues up to management their first response was “well do you want out of your lease” which really shows where their level of care is at. This place is a complete joke and I regret ever even touring this place let alone being stuck here for the next 12 months. My advice is to go anywhere but here.

I lived here for over a year and a half and had a love-hate relationship. The size of the apartments is amazing but it’s not worth the other hassles of this complex. The parking lot is always filled with unsupervised children when there are multiple spaces for children to play outside of the parking lot while supervised. It’s just unsafe and this is never addressed by staff appropriately. Kids should be able to play without worrying about a distracted driver almost hitting them. Also, the trash compactor area is always extremely filthy from residents. Multiple times there is bulk trash left on the side for months or piles of trash left when the compactor is full for rodents to scavenge freely. This often leads to broken equipment and no accountability for residents who do not dispose of trash appropriately. My biggest concern was the exclusivity for internet providers given the limitations of coverage for each provider. A lot of my neighbors and the leasing office at the time had spectrum but when I requested a survey to be able to switch from AT&T, I was told they only allowed AT&T due to contracting. However, the only internet available at the time from AT&T is 50 which is definitely not enough for WFH and was spotty throughout the apartment. The only solution provided by AT&T is to use a mobile hotspot and open more services beside internet. The management also has been anything but polite. I never had any issues with the office staff but the property manager has always been rude when addressing concerns. The website lists two pools but they only ever open one pool for all residents which is not maintained all season and overcrowded even during COVID times. The workout room is often missing equipment outside of cardio machines or cleaning supplies for equipment to promote sanitation in shared spaces. Not all apartments will have the same upgrades as well and there is no distinction on the website for what upgrade includes what items. Definitely request to see the actual unit that will be leased before signing any agreements to make sure you are not surprised when first receiving keys on move in.

Carpets are poor and charges are high for everything. Funny that Management don't believe their tenants words..

Fairly well maintained for a 30 year old building, just pricey. The biggest drawback is their exclusivity agreement with AT&T for internet. The best they could give me is 50mb and it seldom reaches that speed. Not good if you work from home. Some residents were able to get Spectrum but others are told absolutely not. Seems arbitrary.

Great staff, safe neighborhood and plenty of amenities at a great price. I love living here!

It’s a nice community. Family oriented. Solidly built and maintained. Really close to a lot of places.

This is the perfect place for a young couple to rent while they get their feet under them.

This is a great place to call home. It's located in a prime spot within twenty minutes of almost everything the Columbus Metro has to offer. The staff is responsive and generally will take the time to answer any questions you have. The only major complaint we've had the entire time here is that the neighbor kids play in the walkway outside our windows and try to peek in (so we have to keep all curtains shut) and the floor plan is really awkward when it comes to storage. If our family were smaller, it'd probably be perfectly sized for us.

The amount of dogs listed is ridiculous and so are the breeds. You might as well have a weight limit because you basically saying you don’t want anything over 100lbs. So anyone who has a 2lb rat you’re welcome here!

Three-year resident. The apartment is good enough. Fairly large for the price. However, they will get as much money as they can out of you. They will extort you for every penny they can, so protect yourself. Be overly and exceptionally thorough in your onboarding documentation. Take photos galore, and don't overlook any detail. Nothing is out of reach. That loft window without a blind, you better document it, that shotty trim work, document it. OR YOU WILL PAY FOR IT. Ohio gives virtually no power to tenants, so fighting isn't really an option either. Just be careful, be thorough, and expect zero reasoning. Also, if anything, i mean anything goes wrong during your residence. Document it. They will blame you, ignore you, and whatever else to save a dime, but keep documenting it. Finally, not to be overlooked. 60-day moveout notification requirement. That makes it near impossible to secure a new place before committing to leaving this one. Not remotely the industry standard and just another scheme to milk you.

Apartments are good, staff is well behaved and responsive.

Property managers, especially Miss Brittany is very unprofessional and rude. In the last 3 months, I have only seen issues with this place. 1- maintenance is not prompt, takes 2-3 days to respond. If you call them, staff is rude. 2- people working in office are very unprofessional, it appears that they are doing a favor on the residents by talking to them. Please avoid moving into this community. It’s a mess and no one seems to be able to fix it. Unprofessional / rude / not knowledgeable.

Nice place to live even though management is poor. They don’t know how to talk to people especially the so called “manager”. She found me looking at my car in the parking lot and had to tell me I can’t even fix my own car from there. They have the worst staff.

My stay at Britton Woods has been great so far! The office staff is super helpful and friendly. They along with their maintenance staff are always there to help. The apartments are a bit older but you cannot beat the price and location. I am close to everything but far enough away as to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city. I cannot recommend this community enough to my friends!

I love my apartment at Britton Woods! The property is spacious, has 3 ponds with fountains and is very open with lots of green space. It is located close to a lot of restaurants and business, so there are a lot of things to do in the Dublin area. I love the 2 pools and the 24 hour gym attached to the clubhouse.

Britton Woods is great, I love the short commute to work and the surrounding area. You are close to Tuttle mall and a lot of dining. The community is quiet and generally well kept. Some of the apartments seem a little dated, but the new remodeled units are great. I personally chose a new remodel because I liked the darker cabinets. I was lucky to have no major maintenance needs this far though I have had two maintenance requests. One was taken care of the same day while the second took a few days. They explained to me that they were a bit behind on maintenance requests and since it was not an emergency they would get to it soon, which was fine. The office staff were very helpful and answered any questions I had. They also explained the lease and how to avoid fees by making sure you read the lease. I would recommend Britton Woods to my friends.

When searching for my new apartment, Britton Woods stuck out to me for many reasons! The property is so clean and well kept and the office staff was so kind! The property is right off 270, so it is convenient and easy to go anywhere in Columbus. I didn't have any issues with my apartment when I moved in and there is a perfect amount of storage and space. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new apartment in the Dublin area!

I love my new apartment here in Britton Woods! We moved to the Dublin area a few months ago and were overwhelmed with the number of apartments Dublin has! We looked at so many different properties, but nothing compared to the beautiful landscaping and convenient location of this community! The staff was super friendly and helpful during the touring process, which made our decision even easier! I love our apartment, and truly feel like this community is home!

I love this community. The office staff is super helpful and available to answer any questions I have about my apartment. It is a quiet and beautiful neighborhood and I love being able to sit out on my patio to enjoy it! I would strongly recommend Britton Woods if you are looking for a peaceful, friendly community!

I did stay in Britton Woods for around a year. My experience staying here was excellent. The apartment is maintained very well, the staff is helpful. Special mention about Brittany who is "to-go" person for any queries you have and she will resolve them in minutes. She is responsible and responds quickly. All facilities in apartment are maintained with great care and one can look forward to have good time here (be with family or alone). They also have great variety of floor plans to suit individual needs. Anyone can look forward to shift here and have splendid time.

We put a request onJune 22 for toilet leakage, Maintenance guy came on July 5 & closed master bedroom's toilet water supply.July 7, maintenance guy came to replace the flush tank for that we were asked to pay $200. When we requested him to please check again as we haven't done anything, if he can fix it. He said he 'll put some glue on it & try to fix it. By saying he went back & no one came yet till July 26. when I am calling office why no one is coming to fix it they are saying that they have ordered the parts & its not an emergency as we have 2 toilets. Its been more then a month? What should I do? Can u guys hold my monthly rent as its not an emergency if not then why you guys are expecting me to wait for my toilet to get fixed.

Can you imagine that management asked me to get live cockroach to their office just to understand the cockroach problem I have in my apartment . Marcia - the manager asked to me get live cockroach and only then they would do pest control.... Now you can imagine the level of management Rated 1 star as there is no 0 star option

I would say that the management and staff are very friendly and provide great insight into any of my questions regarding the property or the surrounding area. I love that the mall is right around the corner and that there are many places to eat within walking distance of my apartment. The grounds are kept up and the maintinence staff is very friendly and nice and are timely in when they complete your service requests. I love how they have activities every few months for the residents and it makes it feel like a real community. Highly recommend!

I am staying here since 2015. I was happy initially but things started getting bad to worse with maintenance. My AC isn't working since 12 days now and the maintenance just doesn't work on it. I was told there are a lot of AC related requests pending with them as if that was my problem. Just imagine living in a furnace for as long as two weeks. A lot of my friends who live in this community have the same issue with maintenance. And almost all of them are leaving the community once their lease term ends. Mine is ending in another month and I started feeling happy about it. This community looks good to you as long as you don't have service issues. Once you have something that is not working, then your stay here will turn into your nightmare.

I am staying in Britton woods since 1.5 years. I have seen the maintenance go from good to bad to worse. Recently, AC in my apartment stopped working. I will give you the timeline and transcript for you to get an idea of how the tenants are treated: 16-May: Created a service request saying my AC isn't working. 17-May: Service guy attended the problem and said he resolved it. He went ahead and closed the service request. However, the AC isn't still working. 18-May: Created another service request saying the issue still exists. 19-May: Called the apartment office to know if there is an ETA on when the issue will be resolved since it has been 4 nights without AC and I have an 18-month old kid who was struggling to sleep with internal room temperature of 82 F. The response I received from the office: "We can't treat your request as emergency until it is 80F outside. Since it is only 77F at this point, we would like to be patient. I can't do much for you." I waited for 4 more days and decided to call the britton woods regional manager Karen on 22-May. 22-May: Talked to the regional manger. She said this: "Do you have any idea on how many requests were there before you? You will be serviced in that order and you have to wait. They wouldn't work if it is raining. I dont have a crystal ball to see which day it is going to rain. Be patient and wait. If you find it difficult, open the windows and stay." Until today as I write this review, 25-May, my AC still isn't working. So, I have been staying for close to 10 days without AC in my apartment. And my infant kid is still having tough time. It is really unfortunate that I chose to stay here. Will never recommend it to my friends. Will infact ask everybody I know to stay away from britton woods.

My apartment home at Britton Woods is beautiful!! The landscaping, walking trail, and countless amenities make Britton Woods the perfect place to call home. It is close to many shops and restaurants in the Dublin area. When touring and getting info on the apartments the staff was so helpful and informative! I would recommend this property to anyone.

I LOVE my apartment here at Britton Woods! I have lived a lot of places, but have never felt more at home! The community has so many beautiful ponds and scenic views. Behind my apartment building, there is a picnic area with a grill that overlooks a pond. I love to sit there in the summer time and read my book. The office staff are so friendly and genuinely kind. Every maintenance request I have ever raised has been handled in an appropriate time frame. I have nothing but good things to say about these apartments! I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a new place in Dublin!

Simply. *Worst management. *They let you sign few electronic pages over the phone without giving you the chance to read and without discussing any details with you. Mainly the trick of the 2 months FREE !!! *Asked for a very high deposit, when I said I don't want the apartment, they asked me to come and get the keys!! No procedures, just trying to get your money for no reason. *They cause you damages every day, you have no right even to complain. They only care for the rent. *Very high unfair utility charges, mainly water and sewage, no meters , you pay for what other use. *Old buildings, some painting and they charge like 5 stars deluxe apartment!! *Water leak from the top floor, it's not the first time. *Broken glass and Windows, took them more than 2 months to fix. *Wasps and bees nests in balcony and balcony ceiling. *You have to walk holding your trash all the way to the compactor, no dumpsters and they charge $15 for trash pickup. ***Again, the worst is the management, where understanding and respectful management can fix everything, but corrupted management need someone to fix them. It's up to you to decide whether you want to move in or make other right choices. It's my job to tell others about my suffering before they start their own. Good luck.

As a third year resident of Britton Woods, I would say that the apartments are a bit of an older place with many factors working in its favor. For starters, many of the units are about to receive updates, specifically in the kitchen and in the flooring. The green space around the buildings creates a beautiful and open feeling, many afternoons have been spent watching squirrels, birds, rabbits, and ducks. The gym and pool facilities are kept spotless and well maintained. For those parents concerned, Britton Woods is within the Dublin School district: one of the top districts within the country. However, maybe the best kept secret about Britton Woods is the property manager. The quality of the manager is so good that he has been able to keep great staff and great residents alike.
