If you are looking for safe and clean environment in downtown Phoenix, Alta Warehouse is a great option. Staff is friendly and helpful, and overall things work efficiently. For those looking for amenities, there are a lot of them, such a clean pool and hot tub as well as valet trash service. The community is overall quiet and considerate, and it's a good environment overall for those working from home or looking for a short commute. It's also very convenient for those who fly out of PHX on a regular basis. Downsides are outside noise level and limited parking for residents and their guests. I would review the last two items, in line for what your needs/objectives are, along with the upsides, prior to committing to a living situation.

Worst Parking Experience
They authorize a towing without even ensuring or the decency to give a PAPER LIST to look at cars and their spots that the towing company is well-informed about the license plates of the supposed "valued residents." The result? You could be getting ready for a crucial presentation at 8 AM, and your vehicle has mysteriously vanished.

This place is great. If you have more than one car, it's not the place for you because you only get one assigned parking space and the guest parking space fills up too fast. And there's an annoying train that passes by like 5 times a day and blows it's whistle

The staff is great! Parking is an absolute nightmare for residents and forget about having reliable or comfortable parking for any guests. I wish there were trash chutes available for being able to throw away trash easily on the weekends. Appliance, flooring, and cabinet choices are cheap. If moving weren’t such a pain, I’d definitely consider finding another place that isn’t so loud, has much better parking available and had more quality craftsmanship and appliances.

BEWARE OF THE FAKE REVIEWS
19 5-star reviews about how the place/staff is amazing on 3/18/23??? FAKE NEWS!! Nobody has anything this great to say about the community. At the very least there is nowhere for the residents to park let alone any guests. The place is a dump and everything is falling apart in the units, plus the noise between planes/trains/ and traffic is atrocious! Can't wait to leave, and I had high hopes for this being "hip and trendy" and new construction. There has been an influx in feral cats all around the community and found some of the neighbors are feeding them and setting up beds/litter boxes on their balconies on the main floor. Again, I can't stress enough to anybody considering this place.... THERE IS NO PARKING WHATSOEVER! You get 1 parking space for a monthly fee, but if you have a guest or another person living in the unit with you there will be nowhere for that person's vehicle. This place is a total joke, BE WARNED!

You Can Do Better
Location is good and the amenities are nice. Parking is bad even without one of the buildings open yet and constantly finding new issues from when they were rushing to get the apartment finished. They force you to get Cox and it drops all the time which is extremely inconvenient since my girlfriend and I both work from home. We were also promised a dog park when we moved into our apartment at the start of November and a rooftop patio in mid-December, but neither will be ready until at least the end of February now. Also, be ready for parking to be an absolute nightmare. Very little parking available even without the complex being full and they are now making it so no guests can park at the complex.

Tuna Approved
Alta Warehouse is the most dog-friendly apartment in downtown Phoenix; I have toured about a dozen properties around the area and my dog (Tuna) immediately felt at home when we met the incredible staff. It’s walking distance to some of my favorite places: Stand Up Live, Arizona Financial Theater, Churchill, etc. Made the right decision!

Love living here
Moved in January and it’s the best decision I made! I wanted something close to work with a view & it’s exactly what I got. This complex has great amenities and an amazingly friendly staff. My favorite thing is when anything goes wrong or needs fixing they’re on it!!

Just Moved In
Nice units, I haven’t had experience with matiance yet. Elevators work. I’ve seen the security guards walking the property at night. Several staff live on site. Gym is decent. Pool area is clean. It’s still in the process of being finished ie dog run, roof top deck, speakeasy but it’s decent now for use. Biggest con is the parking. Extremely limited guest parking u less you want to pay $3 a day to rent a space for 24hrs with the Zark app. Other con is you have to exit the secured area to access the pool/fitness areas by the front gates. Staff is nice. You’re in downtown Phx. There will be homeless and crime close by. Will update as time continues.

So Far So Good..
We moved in here about a month ago. We came from Prescott so this has been our first Phoenix experience and we wouldn’t be happier. The building/units are brand new which is nice. The finishes and appliances look great and have worked better than our last place. The washer/dryer is full size and has a deep full option which makes washing towels, bedding, bigger items a breeze. We love how pet friendly they are here- we have 2 Sphynx cats that love it here with all the natural light they get to enjoy. The pool/hot tub area is super nice with the hot tub bring a pretty decent size, I even swam back and fourth in it. The gym has pretty much everything you’d need, I wish they had a leg press but they don’t for liability reasons. My husband rents one of their offices on the first floor which makes it easy for us both working from home. They also have a bodega store downstairs that is stocked with all your essentials for your home, pets and food/snacks. They are always adding new items and even take suggestions! I’m surprised the prices aren’t super marked up either, I was expecting movie theater prices but everything is very decently priced. If you go for the units on 7th ave you’ll hear some noise from the traffic, trains and planes but coming from a ranch we really enjoy the white noice for now. There are other units that aren’t as loud but you can judge that for yourself during a tour of the place. All the residents we’ve met so far have been really friendly and the team that works here is amazing!! They truly try their best to accommodate all needs and address any issues or concerns. They do a really good job of keeping the energy positive around here. You’ll never find the “perfect” apartment but they truly do try around here and that makes a world of a difference. Looking forward to our lease here!

The BEST downtown living!
My wife and I( and our dog) absolutely love Alta Warehouse District! From the speakeasy to the dog park, to the pool and back to the common areas, it really doesn’t get better than that. The location is convenient as well. Parking is tricky sometimes, but if you rent a garage, you have two built in spots!! Besides, it wouldn’t be “downtown living” if the parking was always great. We have been living here since September and we don’t plan on leaving any time soon!

Perfect Pick
I relocated to the area a little over a month ago and it was hard settling on a place. However, after I visited AWD as my last stop it was a no brainer. It was a seamless transition and I believe my sweet puppy looks forward to seeing the office and maintenance staff more than she looks forward to seeing me these days. Everyone in the office is so pleasant and am beyond happy that I picked the perfect place to call home.

Great place to live
Ever since moving here last month I feel like I'm at home. It's calm and peaceful and I really enjoy all the amenities. My dogs are happy too!! During move in I needed assistance and Katlyn was extremely helpful and resolved my issue promptly. You can't ask for a better place to live!!

Lovely apartments & helpful staff
I love the way my apartment looks, and all the amenities/clubhouse amazing. The staff are also lovely people, they have been extremely kind and helpful every time I speak to them

Cheaply built apartments, poor quality everything! No parking ever, rude and inconsiderate neighbors. Feels like I’m living in a dorm-worst mistake I ever made signing a lease here. Brand new yet multiple things break or don’t work properly, i.e., elevator, refrigerator, electrical wiring, pool/hot tub. And, frankly the outside is dirty and poorly kept!

This property and management are is very kind and friendly. The property is very inviting. Many amenities you won’t find anywhere else. The only thing I would really complain about as an overall is the windows are very thin and it is extremely loud. Between planes, trains at all hours and loud vehicles, it is very distracting and I’ve lacked many months of sleep. If I could put this property and the management somewhere else in Phoenix it would be perfect!!! Love everything except for the loud noises at all hours.

I moved in with my spouse and our two dogs when they were still building buildings two and three in August of 2022. I’m pretty sure we were like one of the first 10 units to be rented. I’ve had many frustrations along the way but I do think the team here tries to accommodate as best they can, and things are starting to normalize. You’re not going to get everything you want in an apartment, just like when you buy a house, there’s give and take, and you hear a lot about the parking challenges like not being able to park, or airplane noise from being directly under a flight path for Sky Harbor International Airport where the planes that are landing are like only 500’ above you, which is really cool, along with the traffic noise on Grant from the Concerts, Phoenix Suns and AZ Diamondbacks games and 7th Ave, that’s a major thoroughfare and the train noise from the tracks to the north and to the west and the nearby train yard, and of course some maintenance issues with elevators not working, or the flooring that is peeling, and the pool and spa that didn’t work in these reviews and well that’s not really the management’s fault!!! If they could prevent stuff from breaking which is bound to happen, or control the noise pollution, I’d be impressed. That just part of living here at Alta Warehouse District. Every place you pick has its quirks! There’s a lot of things that I think could make the property better. But that doesn’t it mean living here is bad, because it’s not. We’ve found ways to manage the noise like getting white noise machines and two sound dampening curtains for each window. So when the windows are shut, drapes are closed, and white noise machines going you barely hear any of the outside! It’s actually pretty great! The pool is heated!! Yes it works now. Yay! And it’s great! Finally someone said something about the staff living on property and being commissioned based, I’d say so what! I’m glad we have a maintenance team that’s onsite. That’s a perk you don’t see in many apartments and who cares how the team makes their money, at least they are earning it. We’re incredibly grateful to be here truth be told and honestly we don’t plan on moving from here anytime soon and when our lease is up we plan to renew for at least another 15 months or the max that they’ll allow us too. If that’s not the kind of recommendation you want to hear from a place, then I don’t know what is!

There are a lot of things out of their control and processes that they must follow from their executive leadership team and I don’t think many people realize this fact when they leave negative reviews here or any apartment building for that matter. I can understand the frustration from many of the reviews but some of the reviews are unreasonably negative. You’re not going to get everything you want in an apartment, just like when you buy a house, there’s give and take, and you hear a lot about the parking challenges, airplane noise from being under a flight path, road noise, and maintenance issues with elevators, and the pool and spa in these reviews and well that’s not really the management’s fault. There’s a lot of things that I think could make the property better. But that doesn’t it mean living here is bad, because it’s not. Stuff is going to break, and they can’t control flight paths or road noise. If they could I’d be impressed. They’re tasked with managing the parking and not designing it, they’re tasked with managing the maintenance issues and overall they do a pretty darn good job on both fronts. Truth be told, at least for us, I’m glad I can pass maintenance issues onto someone else. We moved from a house and it’s a bear to have to manage that and the costs associated with it. Just imagine having to pay a plumber $150 for a trip charge and another $150 or more an hour just to fix a clogged drain or toilet…and don’t get me started on AC repairs costs. There are a lot of perks and they do a great job cleaning the gas grills and replacing the stones which for me is a pet peeve having a dirty grill. This is the first apartment that I’ve lived in where they actually replaced the grill stones. If you have a snack craving or just need essentials you don’t even have to leave the property because they have a bodega with necessities. The pool is heated!! Yes it works now. And it’s great! Someone made a comment about the delays in the rooftop patio and small dog park, again that’s not managements fault. Delays happen. Honestly, I’m really looking forward to the extra amenities and even if the dogs space is small t

Alta Warehouse District is an amazing place to live. The apartment is beautiful, there are awesome amenities, and it feels like a safe building. Also, the staff and maintenance workers are extremely friendly, responsive, and professional!
