Property Ratings at AVA Balboa Park
There has been some turn over in the leasing office recently. I have lived in the building for 7 years and have never experienced a rude person at the leasing office until a few days ago. Our nice welcoming feeling, has changed to corporate sass. A couple months ago, I would recommend Broadstone to everyone. Now Im not so sure.

This is our little downtown getaway for working and playing. The building is beautiful, the people are nice, the music in the elevators makes you dance, and it smells great!

A very civilized place to live with great amenities and a lovely neighborhood feel.
I have lived at Broadstone Balboa Park for over two years and it has been a great experience! The building is kept clean and safe and the staff has been fantastic. I’ve met some great people while living here too.

Broadstone Balboa Park is the cleanest & most tidy interior & exterior building I have ever lived in. The lobby always smells so fresh & clean as well as so tidy. I must also say how clean & tidy the parking garage is as well, the cleaning service here at Broadstone on Balboa is way past superb, which I appreciate very much, at every area, including the pool, lounge area & the beautiful rooftop seating area! The Broadstone at Balboa Park has the most outstanding rooftop terrace, where the view of downtown San Diego, the Coronado Bridge & the San Diego Bay are magnificent, especially at sunset & the evening. They also have a wonderful outside barbecue area, lovely plunge pool & a fabulous gym, all kept extremely clean at all times. I have been here for 1 year & I love these areas!

Wow. What an amazing community to live in San Diego. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Packages get delivered securely straight to your door. Their rooftop is one of the best in town, equipped with fireplaces, pool, grills, and views for days. The only reason why it isn't a 5-star is because of the homeless population in the area, which is more a review of the area, and not the Broadstone. Having said that, there is a full-time night security guard that walks the property which is great for taking our dog for a walk at night.

The staff here are incredible. They are a joy to interact with. The building is very clean and well kept. However, the homeless issue around the property is out of control. The homeless sleep right in front of the building and as a resident I have already been harassed in my two weeks of living here. It is a terrible health and safety concern especially in a pandemic.
When we were looking for apartments, we were struggling to find responsive property managers. Armand contacted us back quickly and was helpful and welcoming through the entire leasing and move in process. Our unit is great, and we love the style and amenities of the building.
1.0 star rating 9/8/2016 So moved in and here now 3 weeks. Beautiful place, great amenities, clean, people are nice. Though managers are nice, I have asked 3 times for better parking. Finally got a response today after saying we would see what we could do. It was that all parking spaces are the same size, and I am like really? I measured them, lets meet at my parking spot. Manager, oh well I did not know they were different sizes. First of all it was my third time asking and I finally get that response. Now I get oh wow I didn't know, but we can't do anything for you because parking spots are strategically planned. Yeah speak to my hand. Being in the property mgmt business for 13 years, longer than you have been able to work probably, don't tell me that. You have openings, you have people moving. Bottom line, we have a big car, not a compact, put us into a larger spot.
