Property Ratings at Broadstone
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever experienced. This review has been a year and a half in the making. Over that period of time I have been living in the Broadstone apartment complex, occupying two different units. I was forced to move from the first unit because of a completely ineffectual A/C which resulted in an electric bill exceeding $300 just to keep a tiny apartment at or below 80 degrees. The only thing done to alleviate that issue was to give me a secondary window unit (which didn’t work either). From there I was convinced to move into another unit in a different building. There I found a leaky roof (which was never fixed), a faulty heater, and a circulation fan which was connected directly to power and could not be turned off. The snow storm this year was bad for everyone, but the broken heater meant that my apartment was uninhabitable even before the power went out. Add onto that, pipes burst throughout the entire complex causing terrible flooding which was not fixed for weeks after. The drywall which was torn out to access the pipes was still sitting on my doorstep and the hole remained unpatched. My advice is to avoid this complex, and any property owned by the same person at any cost. The issue is not the maintenance staff, the issue is the cheapskate owner who will allow no budget for repairs. Absolutely no money is put into maintaining the place, and 48 years of putting things back together with duct tape are catching up with it quickly. Broadstone Apartments are incapable of meeting the absolute bare minimums that should be expected from a rented space. Do not come here!
I have been living in Broadstone Appartments for the last year, and even though there have been several hiccups along the way, Joshua and his staff have made being a tenant here an absolute pleasure. He has always gone above and beyond in his drive to improve the living standards of my fellow tenants! He even allowed me to grow a small garden on the plot of land next to my apartment's front door, which makes this place feel like home! I really can't stress enough how amazing the staff is here, and I am glad I decided to move into Broadstone.
Broadstone apartments is a great place to live and make it home! And management is awesome! I am so bless to be a resident here! I love it! Thanks broadstone management for making life great!
Joshua is a wonderful manager who goes above and beyond for his tenants. I've lived at Broadstone Apartments for two years, and I will recommend it to anyone looking for a nice affordable place to live in Tyler.
I’ve just moving in about two weeks ago and I love the place. Super affordable units, and my unit had just been updated with new carpet and the works when I moved in. All in all I’ve had a great experience so far.
I have lived at Broadstone for many years and I have to say it’s the best place I’ve lived at. The management company and more personally the onsite manager is amazing. Joshua has always been very helpful to any issues going on and on a personal note he is a very caring and good person. I highly recommend Broadstone apts.
Broadstone is a nice place to live. The location is convient for everywhere we need to go. If there is something wrong, all I have to do is email Joshua and he gets it taken care of asap. The maintenance guys came out and fixed it, without complaining. They told us don’t be scared to even ask a simple question. I always have hot water and I never run out. People are friendly, there are new washers and dryers in the complex that are very simple and efficient.
The manager Joshua is super nice and helpful. He is genuinely concerned about my happiness here. Also, the one time I had to put in a service request, the maintenance guy fixed it the next day. I love my apartment and I got a great deal on it! My hot water also never runs out and gets hot super fast. I'm so glad I was referred here by a friend. Most other places are so expensive, don't even include any utilities, have problems and managers/maintenance men that don't even care.
The apartments are so old and are leaking, pipes bursting, roofing issues, and more. The maintenance man complains when he comes to fix things and even told me that he wanted to find a different job because this place was falling apart. They make up constant excuses for not repairing things in a timely manner. The issues used to get fixed quickly when the under old management but now everything is an excuse after excuse as to why things aren’t getting fixed and the biggest excuse is that this is to be expected with how old the place is.

Again, thank you for your review. We truly appreciate your honest review, and look forward to you giving us the chance to make things right.
Move in 6 weeks ago. In that time we have had these problems: -NO WORKING DISHWASHER(upon move-in) -MAIN FLOOR TOILET WONT FLUSH (upon move-in) -TAKES 30 MINUTES OF RUNNING KITCHEN SINK TO GET HOT WATER. (upon move-in) -SINK IN KITCHEN TURNS ON BY ITSELF RAMDOMLY AND SCREAMS FOR MINUTES AT A TIME! (upon move-in) -MAIN FLOOR TOILET (after it was "fixed") OVERFLOWED ALL OVER BATHROOM WHILE NO ONE WAS HOME...TWICE!!! -BATHTUB BACKED UP WITH SEWAGE IN IT!!! TWICE!!! -ONCE SEWAGE SITUATION WAS "FIXED" IT (SEWAGE) WAS LEFT ON OUR SIDEWALK INFRONT OF OUR APARTMENTS FOR 6 1/2 DAYS!!! -SINK IN KITCHEN (after its been "fixed") RAN INTO THE DISHWASHER SOME HOW AND IS FLOWING OUT OF THE BOTTOM ALL OVER KITHCEN FLOOR! While all of these things (except the dishwasher and lack of hot water) have been "fixed" they obviously are still in VERY poor condition! Extremely Disappointed!
