Whether it’s a historic presence you crave, or a wealth of family fun activities, you’ll find it all in Salem! The town is part of Rockingham County, adjacent to Interstate 93. Residents enjoy proximity to the Mall at Rockingham Park, which happens to be the largest mall in the state of New Hampshire. Purchasing local goods can be accomplished at the Salem NH Farmers Market. When it comes to family outings, nothing beats Canobie Lake Parks’ roller coasters, stunt shows, live music, and games.
History is prevalent in Salem, too. Canobie Lake Park was built in 1902 as a means to encourage travel by trolley to the park’s leisure amenities. The park was successful and became a renowned New England resort. Are you familiar with Stonehenge? Well, Salem has one as well. America’s Stonehenge occupies almost 30 acres in Salem. Many theories surround the origin of the stone structure; its purpose was discovered to be an astronomical calendar.

Property Ratings at Brook Village West
I have lived in numerous apartments in the past and have had very good experiences. When I applied for an apartment at Brook Village West, I met with Shawna and Beth who were very professional and helpful with my move-in process. They were very accommodating and made my stressful move so much easier on me. The apartment was in great shape, but when I had a problem with one of the appliances, maintenance staff Matt and John were at my door within minutes and fixed the problem. This was not the only time they were there so quickly. I had a window that was not closing properly, and before I knew it, they not only fixed the window, but they removed and replaced the entire large window structure with a brand new section! At anytime of the week, you would see Matt and John working on the property grounds. Also, the landscaping at this place really surprised me. Landscapers were on the grounds many timed throughout each month, trimming trees, bushes, mowing, hand picking weeds, etc.... My overall experience at Brook Village West was very positive. And once again, I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly Shawna and Beth have been and I thank you both for your hospitality. I'd give this place a 6-star rating if I could.
I moved here in April of 2023 and just renewed my lease for another year. Last year when applying to Brook Village West, Beth in the leasing office was extremly helpful and the turnaround time for being approved was same day! This was the first complex I've applied to / lived in and Beth was great every step of the way. She gave us a tour of the facilities(gym & clubhouse), took her time to answer all (of our many) questions, and made sure we had all the information we needed. The gym is NICE - nicer than a pf or other local gym. Its small, but everytime I go to workout I'm alone, or have a treadmill running buddy. They maintain and keep this extremely clean, also with new equipment. The clubhouse is also a great bonus - a clean, elegant space - easy to bring my laptop down to do some work, or to grab a free tea in the mornings. Renewing the lease was simple, and the Property Manager Shawna was availible and ready to help with anything I needed. Shawna is professional while being kind and heartfelt. She is someone who truly cares about the happienss and well being of her residents, while maintaining and improving the facilities. Shawna, as well as Beth and their other staff, are a large reason I am staying at Brook Village. Any issues I've had / things to be fixed were met with immediate solutions. The crew on site is wonderful and treat any matience issue with the utmost importance. Espeically being a female in my 20's - I personally do not have "handy" skills. Matenience is happy to help. Always. - LOCATION - you couldn't be in a better spot. Next to 93, Tuscan, shopping centers, route 28. All while having a neighborhood in your backyard, close to local town trails and walking paths. I truly enjoy living at Brook Village West, and with the cost of housing in 2024 I NEED to love where I live. I love it here. The landscaping in the summer is beautiful, and theres a friendly atmosphere here. The people in my building are kind, and very neighborly. I hope to be here until I find my forever home and literally buy a home ! I would reccommend Brook Village West to anyone who values and expects cleanliness and professionalism.
The management does not keep up with any of the maintenance. I kept having to ask them to fix things like my A/C and other essentials.
They literally left me with a broken window during the winter. They were notified in June prior to that fall to fix it and waited over a year to fix it. The management is disorganized at best. The dishwasher that came with the place is broken. They never fixed nor offered to fix it. The laundry service they use is insufferable. They claim to have parking for everyone but no one adheres to the guest limits and people often have extra vehicles, some non working. No real way to enforce people not smoking in the buildings. The way they managed COVID outbreak was a joke. The manager Kathy came into my apartment without a mask on.
Very disappointed! I lived here for about 3 years and from the outside it seems like a nice, calm place to live but it is not like that at all, the manager of this complex is problematic and they don’t actually fix the things that are broken in the apartment...would NOT recommend. Also the pool is nasty because they don’t really clean it.
I have lived here for 6 yrs. Everyone here are wonderful. I have never lived in a place that is so caring for their residents. They have done so mush here in the past 4 or five yrs....Huge improvement! I was going to move because of new management, I am so happy I stayed. It is so hard to find huge spacious apartments like these. If you are looking for a new home, you should come in and check us out. The lady's in the office are very nice, friendly, and helpful. I also want to mention my best buddies maintenance they are great!!! Animallovr.1965
