If you’re looking for peaceful, small town living while still being in reach of a big city, Cleveland might be worth your time. A sleepy East Texas city with a population hovering around 8,000, Cleveland provides a peaceful setting for those who have had enough of the hustle and bustle, or just want to be close to Sam Houston National Forest.
There’s a mix of older homes and newly renovated houses and apartments in Cleveland, with most offerings concentrated near the southern edge of the city. This isn’t a town for those looking for endless entertainment and a buzzing downtown district. Cleveland has a few big-box stores and chains to take care of most things, plus a few popular local spots like Duke’s Bar-B-Que.
The real draw is the nearby national forest, providing acre upon acre of space to hike, camp, fish, and hunt in. Luckily, Houston is just an hour south via the I-69 should you need a night out.

Property Ratings at Brookhollow Apartments
Brookhollow Apartments is a very quiet and pleasant place to live. The management is great and on top of everything. This is a great place to call home!
I’ve been living here for about two years now and this place is wonderful, excellent property manager (Alice) gets things done!! She’s always on top of everything if you have any issues go to her!! This place is always nice and quiet. Never much traffic coming through here, it’s a safe and pleasant neighborhood to live in! Definitely check it out!
Lived in both a 1 and 2 bedroom apartment here. Property Manager, Gail, was amazing! Anytime I had any concerns or issues she was always available to help me out. She has gone above and beyond for me and my daughter to feel at home there. Would definitely reccommend living here. If you are looking to move in ASAP she will do what she can and if you have anything pop up that could prevent you from approval she will let you know and work with you to help you get your new place to call home. We love her!!!
I've lived here over 3 years and I have never had any problems with management or any other issues. This past Thanksgiving my air went out and on Thanksgiving Day, the owner left his family to come out and fix my AC. Hats off to him and also our manager, Gail!
Brook Hollow is a nice, quiet little neighborhood and is one of, if not the best, apartment complex’s in the area. As a first time renter, I had no idea what I was doing, and Mrs. Gail was more than accommodating when I asked her for help. I really enjoyed the time that I lived there, and anytime someone is talking about moving I ALWAYS make sure to mention Brook Hollow and tell them about my amazing experience. 10/10 would recommend!
They had a bed bug outbreak, would say take everything out of cabinets & dresser to heat treat. They took pics of it & didn't get rid of bugs with treatment like they said, they just wanted to take pics & say you lived dirty when my apartments was very clean & very cute decorated. Bed bugs are nasty & they were infested, the old manager even said how the other apartments in there had them & she was even grossed out by it..Good luck ,sleep tight ,don't let the bed bugs bite!
we lived here upstairs in 2017 till 2018 .the ac sucks so if you can handle the heat and roaches enjoy... and when we moved out they take you to court even though we only owed them one month rent no more instead of us just paying the late fees and one month rent the manager takes us to court and gets over 900. yes 900. then afterwards puts it on our credit which was good saying we owed them 2800.00 yes bullcrap!!!...the manager is a rude woman after you move in ...no parking ever no kidding its rediculous i dont recomend living here ....they didnt fix my dishwasher for over 3 months no kidding ..then they replaced it with a roach and spiders all in it used one that stank so bad like mold and toilet overflowed all the time and mold was somewhere in the apartment stank bad even a neighbor that lived there at the same time told me her apartment had mold all in it and they wouldnt do nothing about it they went thru 3 maintenance men the first month we moved in no one will stay working for them because they rig everything oh and my ceiling fan caught on fire over the kitchen table go figure they suck.......
