Bloomington is a thriving suburb in the Midwest that’s in the heart of Illinois. Located at the intersections of several major roadways, Bloomington is within two hours of Chicago, Saint Louis, and Indianapolis. Although Bloomington offers a sense of small-town charm and a welcoming community, the city is a vibrant commercial hub home to big-city attractions like the Miller Park Zoo and the McLean County Museum of History.
Bloomington boasts a rich sense of history and is home to several historic homes, museums, and buildings such as the David Davis Mansion, a restored Victorian mansion of a prominent family from the 19th century. The city also houses Illinois Wesleyan University, Eastland Mall, and a wide range of local shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs, and more.

Property Ratings at Brookridge Heights Apartments
Consistently horrible experiences with property/lease management that lack even the most basic empathy. Oh and rent will go up every renewal despite them never updating anything.
Hot water does not last long enough. Hot water only runs for the first 15 mins, then it becomes lukewarm or cold, and you have to wait for another 30 mins until the tank will be warmed up. I have never experienced this issue in other apartments.
Property Manager at Brookridge Heights Apartments, Responded To This Review
We are so sorry you're experiencing this issue. It could be the water heater not working as it should, so please reach out to the leasing office so we can help resolve this for you. We have a fantastic maintenance team willing to help.
Great location, even better onsite features. Pool, gym hot tub, great maintenance guys and staff!
The management is super friendly and maintenance is really quick
The building material used for the apartments is CHEAP and the layout is bad. The HVAC systems in the apartment are extremely loud and in some layouts placed right in front of the bedroom - so if you're a light sleeper be ready to wear ear plugs every night. The HVAC ducts also have a lot to be desired - four registers in the living area and one in the bedroom which draws little to no air. All this makes for hot, sleepless nights during the summer.
In front of the railroad and very noisy. Disrespectful and unprofessional staffs who don't care about your privacy. Moving to this property was the big mistake we made and we will regret for the rest of our life.
I’ve lived at Brookridge for just over three years now. The location is very convenient, and the staff have been helpful. They have always been very quick to address any maintenance issues and have remained responsive to inquiries. Their prices are more expensive than some some other options, but I believe you get what you pay for.
The units are beyond basic. They do not even include a microwave.
This has been one of the best apartment experiences I have ever had. Jackie Young was a big help in working with me through the application process, all the way up to signing the lease. I would definitely recommend this apartment company.
Hailee Verry at Brookright Heights helped me find out a right garage. Initially the list of garages showed all booked near my building, but she looked into the details carefully and found there is one going to be vacated in a few days and moreover it is closer to my apartment. Thank you Hailee, now I don’t have to worry to shovel the snow before leaving for office????
I have lived here for a couple years now. It has an amazing gym, pool, and even food trucks. When I needed to upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom Hailee was extremely accommodating and helpful. She got my new appartment ready an entire day early! She also helped me set up all of the necessary paperwork for my new dog in a quick and painless manner.
I had moved back to Bloomington after 20 years and was living with family while searching for an apartment. After searching a few weekends, I was so happy to find Brookridge Heights. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by Jamie I had a feeling I had found my next home. She took the time to show me several options and gave me a tour of the complex and a few apartment layouts. At that point I was sold! When it came to the paperwork and getting approved, Jackie in the office was amazing. Since I've moved in she has addressed my every concern and need. I find the complex quiet and well kept. The maintenance service is second to none. The community events are a blast! Thank you Jamie and Jackie for everything. I truly "Love where I Live".
I lived at Brookridge Heights for nearly 7 years before moving out of state. I returned to Bloomington and longed for my old apartment at Brookridge Heights, since I had lived there for so many years. But, since it was taken, I wanted something that was in the same building and that had a similar layout. I had a great deal of "needs" that I wanted met; i.e, the direction of the windows, the same building, the direction of the layout, etc. Annoying to a leasing agent, I'm sure. But, Jackie helped me tremendously! Not only did she keep her eye open for exactly what I wanted, for months, she also sent me updates to see if it was the right apartment and kept me updated with dates, etc. We finally found the perfect one and I am back home! Thanks to Jackie for all of her diligence and hard work, and for putting up with me for so long! I am so grateful!! And I must not exit this comment without mentioning the Maintenance staff who have been here for as long as I have...Tim and Derrick. Awesome! awesome! awesome!
Brookridge has been part of my life for quite sometime now , it's location on countryside brings a felling of freshness and liveliness. The apartments vicinity to office and local stores gives a good edge over other apartments. One of the first few things moved me was the rich and newer look of the apartments. All the apartments are widely spaced and have an aesthetic appeal which stands apart from rest.It has got a big gym housed with necessary stuff making life lot easier at your convenience and more economical. I can vouch Brookridge as one of the safest locale undoubtedly due to its strong vigilance by staff and police and this could be further fostered by installation of surveillance cameras to bring bold security. The staff complies with maintenance issues and are prompt in pests control. I would like to thank them for organizing events on special occasions sparking alacrity among residents and marking fun filling moments. The rent is little expensive otherwise it's the best bet in Bloomington. #lovewherewelive
It was a stressful time when, a year ago I first met the sales staff, looking for a temporary “home.” My wife had just moved back to western WI to care for her mom, we had just sold our house far quicker than expected, I was still at least 18 months away from retirement, and I was dealing with some minor health issues. Finding a place to live on top of arranging storage for the majority of our possessions until we found a house back home added to a miserable time. Not only was the staff helpful and patient with our decision making, they have since taken care to ensure my daughter, our puppy and my stay has been the least stressful part of the past year! Things are much brighter now - feeling back to normal, mom is doing well, 6 or so months before retiring and joining my wife! I’m able to use the workout area and look forward to the pool/hotub this summer. The social activities have been fun ... this has been the perfect place at just the right time! Thank you!!! Share
We have lived at Brookridge Heights for 6 months now, and have had nothing but a wonderful experience here! They have flexible leasing options and are pet friendly, which is exactly what we needed! All of the staff including in the office and maintenance are all incredibly kind and friendly! They have responded to requests quickly and efficiently! They also offer the best amenities in the area, and the resident events have been something we really look forward to each month!
Brookridge heights apartment is the best apartment in town hands down. When it comes to the amenities (pool, gym, carwash, club house, hot tub etc.) its second to none. I have the best experiences with neighbors and have a lot of friends that live in the complex including the Brookridge staff. The events that are hosted are also great, and a good way to meet more awesome neighbors!!
I have lived at Brookridge Heights for almost 2 years now and I have nothing but good things to say! I make use of the great amenities such as the pool/hot tub & fitness center. The office staff is super friendly and accommodating. The location is great; it's just far enough out of the way to feel peaceful & like a little community, but not far enough that it's inconvenient to get around. I plan to be living there for many more years!
BROOKRIDGE HEIGHTS APARTMENTS is a great place to live in Bloomington! It’s conveniently located by work, shopping, restaurants, walking trails, etc., peaceful, and pet-friendly. It has a very nice and responsive staff, clubhouse, and periodic events for the residents.
I find the excellent place BROOKRIDGE HEIGHTS APARTMENTS to live in Bloomington. Nice calm, cool, peaceful and pollution free place with nice neighborhood and supporting people. Very nice & supporting staff with time to time party events make environment joyful...!!
I love living at Brookridge Heights! The staff is really friendly and helpful and any issues or concerns are always handled promptly! I love how close it is to State Farm and that they are pet friendly! The complex is also clean and safe. I just signed another 15 month lease as my first one went so well!
The studios are great for 1 person and still have enough space for everything. The fitness center has plenty of equipment to use. The best part is the pool and hot tub. They try to do good community events too which is nice. Pretty well upkeep.
My husband and I just recently moved in & love the location of the apartments. They’re far enough away that it’s peaceful & quiet and even has a nice park nearby, but also is a 10 minute drive from the major part of Bloomington.
My husband and I moved into Brookridge about 5 months ago and have really enjoyed it here! The apartments are kept well, the area is quiet, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
It is the best apartment in bloomington. It is closer to my office and Leasing agents are so friendly and all the service requests are completed in time and they conduct lot of fun activity over the year and love living here.
I lived at Brookridge Heights for one year. Having lived in a multitude of cities throughout the country, I have much rental experience! While my time there was fine, I have a major issue with their business practice. I've lived in Chicago, Manhattan, Philly, and Berlin; not in ONE of those places did I ever come across such things as a "redecoration fee," a "non-refundable pet deposit of $300 PER PET," "a "$250 administration fee," etc. This is clearly money-grabbing at its finest. The other reason I feel so strongly is because the quality of apartments is not great. The building materials are cheap - my carpet had holes in it from the day I moved in, and you can hear every footstep around you. The downside is that Brookridge Heights can get away with these things because Blo-No is such a small town, so there's not much competition! With this said, I hope some more competition comes to town soon, so that at LEAST the money-grabbing can stop. [Rant over].
The took all the deposit and charged extra when we moved out. It is ridiculous. When we moved out, they wanted everything looked like brand new. They charged for even little water marks, which were there before we moved in. They said they charged for them because I did not put notes about the marks in the report when we moved in. Who would pay attention to small marks, and even you paid attention, who would put them in the report? It is an old apartment, it is natural to have small marks and dents. They took advantages of it.
Brookridge Heights Apartments is a great place to live that too very close to my work(Statefarm). With its ample walking spaces, quality gyms, good pool and other conveniences. This is one of the best apartment in vicinity there aren't many places like it in the town, especially near to hospital, pharmacy, grocery and eatery stores. The leasing agents are very nice and maintenance is prompt(within an hour). Apartment are spacious and designed well to feels like a neighborhood where parking is just a walk away. The leasing office team hosts many event for the community and provide lot more opportunities to get together with friends and neighbors. I would surely recommend this as one of the best place to live in Bloomington (IL)
I have lived in Brookridge Heights for a little over a year now and love it. One thing that initially peaked my interest in the apartments was the in unit laundry as well as all of the amenities that come with residence. The gym, pool, sponsored community events and free parking for residents and guests make Brookridge Heights stand out above other apartments in Bloomington. The office staff is very helpful and informative and whenever I have needed them the maintenance crew has always been prompt. I love where I live!
I've lived here for 3 years and this is my second Snyder apartment. Mostly, it is a quiet, safe neighborhood. The people are nice. The quality of the apartments are fine but Snyder is definitely overpriced for the square feet, probably because of the proximity to State Farm. Management is hard to work with. They turnover and seem unprofessional. I've experienced several of them not responding if you have an issue. I also brought a soda to the pool and when I cracked the can, one of th but maintenance workers kicked me out of the pool because they thought it was a beer.
New tenant coming from Chicago this past spring. Sign for the apartment unseen and was the best decision I made! I wanted to take this opportunity to say how impressed I am with how beautiful the residence is, how nice my apartment is and how great the residence staff is. Job well done at all levels.
