Property Ratings at Brookside (Hallmark)
I’m currently living here and the place is a mess to put it nicely. Don’t get your work order done in a timely manner if at all. Been waiting for the a/c to get replaced for over a month. Took a week to get window units after calling the district person living in Orlando. Management is a complete joke and should be shut down. This place is horrible.
I moved here in 2018 I have seen about 3 different property management companies and a host of property managers. Grass not getting cut, no pest control, Work orders in the system for CB over 6 months. And these are tax credit homes some of them. No one in office to help. It’s just bad light have been out in the Parkin lot since hurricane Ian hit
After they change the administration the apartments look nasty!! Trash every where!!
I have lived at Brookside Apartments for 6 years and honestly, it’s been great! Brookside is located in Jonesville, just far enough, from the hectic areas of Gainesville. The property is well maintained, as management is always updating and making improvements. My two bedroom is huge, with plenty of storage space. Thankfully, I’m able to have my own washer and dryer. Throughout the years, the staff have always been helpful and courteous, yet, there’s a professional difference with our present Community Director, Krista and Assistant Community Director, Brynea. They’re kind, respectful, professional and very helpful, but, Now the Rules are ENFORCED. That’s totally New! I don’t see riff raff loitering, especially when it’s a family community. Raun and Cliff, whom maintains each Brookside unit, excel in their craft, are prompt and finish the job depending on the situation, within the first call. It’s outstanding to live at a complex where the whole staff are accommodating, they help you feel welcome and all are noticeably proficient. All positive aspects, to why I continue to live at Brookside Apartments. Kim S.
I've lived at Brookside for almost four months and its been an absolute joy. I discovered Brookside after leaving Lakeshore Towers due to renovations. When I moved from my previous luxury apartment I thought Brookside would be a downgrade. I could not have been more wrong. As realtors say, "location is everything". Brookside is nestled in the Jonesville area and surrounded by a beautiful park. Shopping is made easy with Publix, CVS, and the local hardware store - all within walking distance from the property. The architecture of the apartment complex is modern and very pleasing to the eye - reminiscent of something on the beach. The gated property is very well maintained, and those who see to the daily task of keeping it that way are very friendly. The apartment complex has a pool, a workout room, a computer room and a children playground. Residents of Brookside are quiet and keep to themselves, but are more than happy to lend aid to a fellow neighbor when help is needed. Therefore, the look and feel of Brookside is that of a tight knitted community. As for the interior and amenities of my apartment, the floor plan is modern with spacious rooms and large closets specifically for clothing, towels, and even just for shoes. Appliances are relatively new and windows and window treatments are too. Maintenance issues are promptly addressed by staff. Utilities such as gas, electric, and water are inexpensive with internet being the most expensive. The only downside to Brookside is that it allows pets, and has a robust children populace. But if you love pets and have kids, then my negative is a positive. Obviously, since I gave Brookside five stars, neither the pets or the kids are a problem for me, its just something future residents should be aware of before moving in.
I have lived at Brookside almost eight years. I have enjoyed the helpful office staff. I feel like home here. Me and my dog Puff love it here. I love to walk around the beautiful community.
I Kathryn Brown moved from Miami three years ago and decided to make Brookside Apartments in Newberry, FL my home. I love that it was conveniently located next to my job at Circle K, Steeple Chase Shopping Plaza, and a host financial institutions. I enjoy the community but mostly I enjoy Krista and Bry who are the friendly office staff. They are always friendly and willing to assist you in anyway even when I come by the office to aggravate them. I will truly miss Ms. Krista and Ms. Bry also the maintenance is quick to respond to work orders. If I chose to remain in Gainesville I would make Brookside my permanent residence. Thanks, I appreciate the kindness and the opportunity to reside at such a lovely quiet complex. It has truly been a pleasure.
The location was picked because it got my kids out of the city,so that was great in the begining.the rooms are a good size, but the upstairs tenant are noisey and after speaking to office staff and following all the steps they told me to take it only got worst.I am very miserible. I have axienty and the up stairs noise triggers different emotions for me that make me unhappy. The rent is extreme but would be worth it if the noise wasn't so bad from tenants upstairs.
