Established in 1635, Concord is picturesque New England town brimming with Colonial-era charm about 20 miles northwest of Boston. Concord is a top choice for families, with award-winning schools, convenient access to the MBTA Commuter Rail, and a vibrant downtown shopping district.
Concord is also a favorite amongst history buffs and literary enthusiasts. The American Revolutionary War started in Concord, when the “shot heard round the world” was fired from North Bridge. Minute Man National Historical Park, Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, and Concord Museum provide insight to various aspects of a storied past as well.
Writers Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Bronson and Louisa Alcott, and Nathaniel Hawthorne all lived and wrote in Concord. The houses of these famous literary figures are all available for tours, including the Old Manse, Orchard House, and Thoreau’s Cabin Site on Walden Pond.

Property Ratings at Brookside Square
Upscale, attractive apartments with nice features. Very happy here.
BrooksideSquare Square is a dog friendly, welcoming community to all living here.
The stress and upsetting nature of living in a "luxury apt" building which is not maintained well is very stressful. We are paying high rent and it's a shame that this building has been run into the ground. A new couple who moved in 6 months ago commented that when they looked at the apt they said to Cummings "but the hallway rugs are all stained and the walls are all marked up in the hallway" and Cummings response was "It's scheduled"............nothing is scheduled.
BrooksideSquare Square is a clean, well lighted place to live. I find the forced hot air system leaves very little dust compared to other places I have lived with similar heating systems. It is like they use hepa filters to clean the air.
Brookside is a dog friendly place positioned central to the West Concord community. It is a quick 4 to 5 min walk the train station and stores downtown.
My 94 yer old mother is the resident. She loves her apartment. John the maintenance manager is prompt, attentive, and extremely kind to her. Andrew is always thoughtful and attentive if she ever needs to speak to him, which is rarely. The social events are always well planned , generous food, drink and entertainment. This has been an excellent experience for my mother and her children.
Great community - people are very friendly. Property Manager is the best!
We are very satisfied with our apartment, the management, the neighbors, and the amenities.
A welcoming community with a willingness to help when there is a need.
I truly enjoy my beautiful, sunny apartment. A nice place to come home to.
Great place to live, walk about & meet fellow residents.
Brookside Square is a pleasant place to reside. The location in WestConcord is ideal. Many stores, restaurants and the library are nearby as well as the train. There are attractive places to walk and the bike trail is in the process of expansion. Most people here are friendly and it makes Brookside feel like home.
Finding a place for my 91 yr old mother was stressful, moving her from her lifelong neighborhood. She loves her apartment, and her neighbors are very nice to her. Andrew is always reachable and responds in a timely manner. The building is always clean.
Brookside is a nice mix of residential and quality commercial tenants set in the heart of a very cool community. The owners have set an unusually welcoming tone by providing very decent amenities, allowing pets, and by providing a guest suite for extra guests - really clever. The full time professional staff are relaxed but very efficient. Life in a close community like this could easily be a full time soap opera, but management here are incredibly good at trying to keep everyone happy. We have been here longer than we imagined, and have changed apartments as our needs have changed. Rent is not inexpensive, but it is at market value, and actually a very good value.
I was one of the first occupants in the building and have lived here now for over five years. I am happy in my apartment and the location of Brookside cant be beat. Management and Maintenance are professional, friendly and very responsive.
Great building, perfect location, excellent staff, with very nice neighbors.
Brookside Square's location is ideal - bike trail, train, stores, library, post office and physician's offices and park all within walking distance.
Brookside Square is very well run & maintained. It is right in West Concord center. Close to train and has a very nice garage. Friendly atmosphere.
Brookside Square offers an excellent housing option to all sorts of people. The amenities are pretty darn good (indoor parking, roof deck with grill, bike storage, gym). The staff are responsive and seem to care.
Great location (walk to restaurants, market, shops, train), great neighbors, great energy saving building design, I've appreciated the past three years of peaceful, stress-free rental experience.
It is a wonderful location with tremendous potential. The customer service and community are lacking.
Great location. Convenient, well managed, however traffic in the morning makes hard only in the morning.
Brookside Square is a great apartment community with really good apartment and building amenities. The management staff does an exceptionally good job of handling all the building and resident issues and concerns.
Very nice, spacious, sun filled apartment. I love the large windows. The staff here is pleasant and responsive to requests.
