Property Ratings at Brookstone
My girlfriend and I originally planned to move in beginning of July after a 2 month apartment hunt. Our first visit went ok although left us wondering a little bit. We were told we could move in and there was a beautiful unit available. A week after meeting with Cathryn, we were told that our move in date hate to be moved as the unit was not ready and we were told another should be ready by then. Got pushed back almost a month. Well we dealt with it and used the extra time to try and replan our move. After loads of broken communications with Cathryn, our move in date was delayed another day as the new unit was still not ready. Something about the cleaners and new carpet, on the day we were supposed to move in. Were told to come back the following EVENING and we could probably move in then. Our movers fell through as they were busy during the new move in time and unfortunately no movers were available in the area for a couple months at that point. So we bit the bullet and moved ourselves in using a car and U-Haul truck. Upon move in we could see the cleaners didn't do their jobs, 2 separate occasions as we turned them away on the third attempt and cleaned the unit ourselves. There was dead bugs on the windows, footprints all over the bathroom, dust and dirt everywhere, the fridge was dying(did die two weeks in and cost us about $200 in food) and also smelled like rotting meat while leaking water all inside the fridge area. The fireplace was dirty and our cats found a decaying chicken bone somewhere. That's just the start of it. Throughout the month we've been here so far it's been a long and deep rabbit hole of stuff that we find more of every day. After talking with the office multiple times, come to find out that Cathryn doesn't know this place or her job very well and the manager is stuck in so many meetings that our meeting to discuss our concerns was pushed back almost two weeks! Now, a week after actually meeting with the manager and her hearing of everything, said she wants to make it right, we've been served a pay or vacate. After not hearing about anything discussed, including the fact our sliding door does not lock and we are on the first floor, we are now left with complete betrayal. Don't move in here if you can avoid it. The maintenance team is awesome but the office staff who control your contract are cheats. Save your money and take it elsewhere

We look forward to continuing to have you as a happy resident for years to come! Warmly, Marianne G., Community Manager Brookstone_MGR@pinnacleliving.com
Crappy place to rent. You won’t get your security deposit back they will send you to a collection agency within a couple days of you moving out and they will try to keep your deposit. Dryers also vent into the apartment and won’t dry your clothes very well. Rent is high for how crappy this place is.
The dryers vent into the apartment filling it with humid air with lint floating around. They charge a cleaning fee up front and when you move out they charge another cleaning fee. I’m yet to get my deposit back so don’t count on that. If I could give this place half a star I would. I highly recommend you look else where. This place is junk.
THESE APARTMENTS HAVE GREAT MANAGEMENT AND A GOOD AND PUNCTUAL MAINTENANCE CREW, THE GROUNDS ARE ALWAYS WELL MAINTAINED. THE INDOOR POOL IS A PLUS FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO HAVE KIDS THAT LIKE TO SWIM ALL YEAR ROUND. ThIS LOCATION IS PERFECT CAUSE YOU ARE LITERALLY MINUTES FORM SOUTH CENTER (ONE OF OUR MAJOR MALLS), CLOSE GROCERY SHOPPING,FAST FOOD , THE SEATTLE TACOMA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, AND ALSO BLOCKS AWAY FROM THE CENTRAL LINK LIGHT RAIL WHICH IS A DIRECT WAY TO DOWNTOWN SEATTLE AND ONLY ABOUT A 20-35 MIN RIDE.
