As one of the oldest cities in the United States west of the Appalachians, Cincinnati offers residents contemporary urban living in a historic, distinctive setting. One of the oldest cities in the US houses an influential youth culture. Students, professionals, artists, and musicians of all walks of life come to the southwest corner of Ohio to live and work. College and professional sports are wildly popular, with the Bearcats of the University of Cincinnati, the Reds, and the Bengals enjoying huge fan bases in their hometown.
Renters and visitors alike will delight in attractions like the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Newport Aquarium, and the city’s iconic zoo. The annual Oktoberfest is one of the biggest celebrations of its kind outside of Munich, drawing thousands to the streets to celebrate the city’s German heritage.

Property Ratings at BrookStone Village
Terrible complex. The leasing office is awful. Over priced and outrageous hidden fees in the rent. The final straw was getting our apartment broken into.. jewelry and money stolen. The office showed us no support or empathy. Several neighbors have many very loud, big dogs that aren’t being properly cared for and bark all through the night. The garbage bins were disgusting. I do not recommend living here.

Hello, We are devastated to hear that this has been your experience. We do understand that despite our best efforts to provide a secure property, incidents can still occur. We do take these situations seriously and apologize that this happened. If you would like to discuss your your concerns in detail, we'd be happy to speak with you further. Thank you. - The Brookstone Village Team
Where to start... They hit my credit twice when I applied. My car has been broken into 5 times. There is almost $200 in extra fees above rent every month. Internet is terrible with no other providers to change to. Maggots all over the trash that they forget to pick up quite often. I have been trying to contact the main office for almost 3 months with no reply. During those 3 months, I didn't have AC or a working toilet until I called my own repair guy on my own dime. Maintenance blamed me for not being available even though I WFH and am always home.

Hello Alex, Thank you for your review. We apologize for the issue you are having with your toilet. We would be happy to have someone look into this. If you've already submitted a maintenance request, we can certainly have you speak to our manager for an update. We can also review any additional fees that are in question. We want to ensure that things are taken care of for you and that we address any concerns you have. Thank you. - The Brookstone Village Team
Brookstone village does not care to help you fix any items broken in your property. We have had no AC all summer and they have made no efforts to fix it. If you are considering an apartment and want AC. Do NOT live here. They have no problem collecting rent though.
Property Manager at BrookStone Village, Responded To This Review
We're very sorry that we've taken longer than expected to address your AC issues. We can understand your frustration and we certainly did not intend to disappoint you. Unfortunately, this review is anonymous and we're not able to reach out to you personally to discuss your concerns. Please feel free to reach out to us directly and speak with our manager. We would very much like to have this taken care of right away. Thank you. - The Brookstone Village Team
It has been an absolute nightmare living here. Staff in the front office are very rude and money-hungry and lying about everything. Maintenance takes months and months and only got completed because I had to call and check up on it. Inside the apartment is absolutely disaster, very old kitchen stuff and very shity. Do a favor for yourself and never never never move to this place.

I moved to this property in 09/2021. I relocated from another state and was unable to view the property prior to leasing. This property is slightly more affordable than the competition. However, you will need to add $150.00 to their advertised rent as the advertised rent does not include the required $99.00 cable/internet bundle, $35 valet trash fee which requires tenants to place trash outside their door which attracts rodents and causes disgusting messes outside of your door and other miscellaneous fees. The day that I moved into my apartment it became clear that the apartment was not professionally cleaned after the previous tenant moved. The carpet was disgusting, full of stains and dirt from the previous tenant. The entire apartment had a foul/disgusting smell. I immediately demanded the carpet to be replaced and management agreed. In addition to the carpet being disgusting, the windows/window frames and doors had mildew and dirt on them, the ceiling above the stove has visible grease stains and the ceiling in the living room also has a stain (possibly from the previous tenant smoking). I had to thoroughly clean the washer by scrubbing with bleach because it had a foul smell. The dryer vent was not cleaned prior to me occupying the apartment therefore the dryer did not function properly, and it is a fire hazard. The HVAC vents were disgusting covered in dust and debris and the entry way outside of my apartment door was covered in garbage and spillage due to everyone placing their trash directly outside their doors. The walls and floors are paper-thin, there is no privacy. You can hear other tenants having normal conversations and you can hear every footstep from individuals walking in their apartments or walking up and down the stairs to their apartments. The kitchen countertops are laminate in my apartment and they are chipping/delaminating. During my top to bottom cleaning I discovered that my apartment had a mouse and there is a hole in the wall directly behind my stove which allows rodents to move freely. On the positive, this property is located next to Oakley Station Shopping center and close to major bus routes that can get you downtown within 45 minutes.

Management does not care about tenants. Maintenance is terrible, I’ve had open requests from when I moved in over a year ago. Duke bills are insanely high for no reason. Put your money elsewhere

Brookstone is ok at best. I have lived here for over 3 years and I only stay because it is slightly less expensive than the competition and I have a fence for my dog. Management seems to be in flux consistently and the property is not kept up well. My most recent issue was a water backup in my apartment. It took 10 calls to finally have a fix and the management has done nothing to try to make it right. My first couple of years weren't bad, but it is going downhill fast. If you have the budget, choose another option. Other notes - -The advertised gates have been broken for 95% of my time here -Walls are paper thin -Landscaping is often overgrown, sometimes you'll have to dodge bushes to get to your apartment

Terrible management, terrible maintenance, just awful.

Awesome place to live! I live in a one bedroom with my dog. It's a great apartment and the area is beautiful. The complex itself looks really nice too. Always clean and feels grand pulling into home every time. The location could not be better. So close to so much. I like that I can walk to MadTree Brewing in less than 10 minutes. Pet friendly with a pool, and a great location all for a fair price. I think so anyway. I now have a few co-workers that moved here after they came over a few times and I convinced them to move here. Nice to have a couple friends to walk to the brewery with. It's a good place to call home.
